Trump's America

People who visit this blog also know about the far right blogs that advocate the genocide of all Muslims; people on those blogs who advocate throwing American citizens who practice their Muslim faith out of their own country, and people who refer to Muslims as "vermin." There's no difference between them and the Nazis who advocated the same against the Jews and called the Jews "vermin" in 1930s Germany.

Now those same people have a hero in the White House who is a racist and who sought to ban people, because of their religion, from entering the United States.

The photo below was taken from Tahnee Gonzales' facebook page. She's one of the so-called "mothers" who trespassed on a Tempe, Arizona, mosque's property, took materials from it, allowed the family dog to pee on the property, all the while teaching her children and her fellow perp's children how to be good Republican bigots. The tee-shirt Gonzales is wearing in the photo shows a slogan that could have been taken off of a certain far right wing blog that's been advocating the deportation of American Muslims and/or the deaths of all Muslims:

Image may contain: one or more people, sunglasses and closeup

The video below is the direct result of having that loathsome racist in the White House, representing America to the world. The people who voted for and continue to support Trump are the people in this video and the people who run and comment on their racist blogs.

We need to kick #45's sorry ass out of the White House and teach our children that what these miserable excuses for mothers did is wholly unAmerican and a blight on this once great nation.

The video is so horrible, one thinks it can't be real. But it is real, as real as the horror that dishonors the White House.

I hope they are punished but good for their criminality.

This is Trump's America:

Anyone with an ounce of humanity in them will say the problem is YOU and everyone like you, Anonymous.

From what you posted here, one can acurately assume you're one of the proto-Nazis that Trump admires and that many on the crazy right approve of.

Anon... how do we live in a pluralistic society when ppl advocate the killing of other fellow citizens of that country?

Nope. You're not "average." You're BELOW average.

More Americans express “warmer” feelings toward Muslims on a thermometer scale than they have in the past, while there has been a decline in the share who say Islam is more likely than other religions to encourage violence among its followers. In addition, most say there is little or no support for extremism among U.S. Muslims. And a large – and growing – majority of the public says that Muslims in the United States face a lot of discrimination, while roughly half of U.S. adults say media coverage of Muslims is unfair.

SOURCE

The "average" American is fair-minded and generous-hearted. The average American would not condemn an entire religion or group of people because of the few radicals within it. If Americans thought like you, they would want to throw every young white American male out of the country, because they're the ones who perpetrate mass killings.

If Americans thought like you, they would have wanted to throw every southern man, woman, anc child out of the country because it was mainly southerners who belonged to the terrorist organization the KKK. Southerners who were once Democrats and then left that party and became proud Republicans.

Dave, the people on the radical right advocate the deportation or genocide of Americans who are Muslim. We all know who they are.

And it sickens all good Americans.

Looks like they were both arrested for trespassing and stealing and destruction of property. Looks like anonymous has a VERY low opinion of the average American and themselves...

It's heart-breaking to realize that there are Americans who are so racist and deplorable - I know a few myself and when they speak I am always shocked by how vile and hateful they are. I am 72 and wonder when Americans and why Americans have become so divided - so left and so right and nothing in the middle - Truly, where has all the love and respect gone? I want it back. You consider what those two women did is a molehill?

Would you have thought that had two Muslim women done this to a Christian church?

Shaw Kenawe said...

Possumlady, "Anonymous" is not an "average" American. He or she is a 30 percenter.

Mary Ellen, I understand. I never thought I'd see this country so divided nor did I think we'd have a president so low in character and os without any understanding of our Constitution.

How about sticking a crucifix in urine and calling it art. Be truthful here, Christians can be denigrated by the media, celebs or politicians, but God forbid anyone speaks badly of the so called religion of peace

What a feast of bigotry and ignorance.
Unfortunately they probably can't be prosecuted for more than vandalism and trespass.

You've got to be carefully taught how to hate.

They may be charged with a hate crime, according the the Arizona teevee station I heard reporting this.

Anonymous @7:48

Just because you don't understand a work of art, that doesn't make it disrespectful. You're the one who's assigning disrespect to the art, not the artist. You also sound like a blogger I know who can't let go of things that happened in the past and who nurses his delicate feelings over things he doesn't understand:

“Because some artist decides to shock the hicks by dunking Jesus in urine,” author Thomas Frank wrote in 2005 of the photograph’s symbolism in the culture wars, “the entire planet must remake itself along the lines preferred by the Republican Party, U.S.A.”

Many critics defended the piece. “The photograph is clean and purified, the reliquary or shrine in which he clearly believes that the word about the body can be stored and spread,” New York Times art critic Michael Brenson wrote in 1989. “People may agree or disagree with him, or they may question his belief in photography, but how can anyone find in his work just obscenity and disrespect? It is hard to believe that anyone whose faith is searching and secure would not be grateful for what Mr. Serrano has done.”

What’s interesting about all the hullabaloo is that Serrano identifies as a lifelong Christian, and has long maintained that “Piss Christ” (whose full title is “Immersion: Piss Christ”) is not political, but an act of devotion, a reflection of his relationship to the crucifix as a tarnished symbol, and his childhood teaching that Christ shouldn’t be idolized. The piss isn’t what Serrano did to Christ; rather, it’s what we did to Christ over centuries of commercializing him. The Huffington Post asked him in 2004 what the message of the work was, then or now.
Serrano responded:

The only message is that I’m a Christian artist making a religious work of art based on my relationship with Christ and The Church. The crucifix is a symbol that has lost its true meaning; the horror of what occurred. It represents the crucifixion of a man who was tortured, humiliated and left to die on a cross for several hours. In that time, Christ not only bled to dead, he probably saw all his bodily functions and fluids come out of him. So if ‘Piss Christ’ upsets people, maybe this is so because it is bringing the symbol closer to its original meaning. There was a time prior to the 17th century when the only important art, the only art that mattered, was religious art. After that, there were very few contemporary art pieces that were considered both art and religious, and ‘Piss Christ’ is one of them.

I believe the artist, not Anonymous. Serrano made the art and his ideas, not Anonymous's, are what motivates his art.

It has been said ignorance is bliss. It is also dangerous. Especially so when the leader of the people is ignorant.

Ms Shaw, Aren't you being a little hypocritical with your comments. You say hate has no place and then you share you hatred for Southerners. If any thing your statement should have said throw democrats out because they were the founders of the KKK and enacted Jim Crowe. The KKK had a violent creed but not all of them were violent. Muslems have a violent creed but not all of them are violent.

Christians believe that you should love thy neighbor as thyself. Even most non-believers should live by those guidelines in all aspects of their lives.

skudrunner: "Aren't you being a little hypocritical with your comments. You say hate has no place and then you share you hatred for Southerners."

I stated a fact. If you believe stating facts is sharing hatred, then I suggest it is you who has a problem. I stated that "mainly southerners" belonged to the KKK. In fact, the KKK was started in the South. What is hateful about that fact? Facts are neither hateful nor loveable -- they're true.

You seem not to have a problem with calling out the southern Democrats as members of the terrorist organization, KKK. In fact you never fail to do so. But you see, skud, that is a fact. It's neither hateful or loveable, it's true. It is also true -- a fact, that it was mostly southerners who supported and belonged to the KKK.

To the best of my knowledge, Muslim-Americans do not have an organization with millions of members in it that terrorizes white people, burns down their homes and churches, and murders them because of the color of their skin. I'm talking about Muslim-AMERICANS. Your comparison of Muslims to KKKers is invalid

Dave Miller said...

Skud... maybe the guy in the WH could model for Americans what that looks like. Maybe the party that claims to speak for family and biblical values could speak up a little for these biblical values...

“The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control."

I don’t fault the current day Dems because they don’t openly play the God card. But the GOP, with its faux Christianity has severely damaged the reputation of the church.

Any objective observer would be hard pressed to argue otherwise.

Sorry I had to share my thoughts without reading the thread. It's good to come back and visit. You remain an important voice for the truth.

Ducky,

Maybe there is no crime for which these women may be prosecuted in any way which would bring significant punishment.

But in just about any other state than Arizona they would at the very least be subpoenaed for a hearing in a court with CPS as the plaintiff arguing their fitness as parents.

Taking toddlers on a hate crime lolly spree? I can only thank the goddess that I watched portions of this video with the sound turned off. I don't think that I could have stood to hear their narration of hatred.

Guessing that Arpaio is something of a folk hero in my misguided neighbor to the East.

I wasn't really aware of this right-wing deportation of Muslims thing. Where I have been hanging the hatred is a little bit more subtle.

Haha! Very funny parody of a wingnut. To make it even better you should have called yourself "The Price of Darkness." But hilariously moronic, nevertheless.
