His cultists love his ignorance.

Here's the Felon of the United States announcing his stupidity with all the confidence of a Dunning-Kruger* patient.

TRUMP:

"And we are putting up wind. It does not work, aside from ruining our fields and valleys and killing all the birds. Being very weak and expensive, all made in China. I have never seen a wind farm in China. Why is that?"

 James Surowiecki:

"Trump has never seen a wind farm in China because he's an incurious narcissist who ignores all information that contradicts his biases. The Gansu wind farm is the largest onshore wind farm in the world, with 7000 turbines. China is the global leader in installed wind capacity."

*The Dunning-Kruger effect is a cognitive bias where people with low ability at a task overestimate their competence, while those with high ability tend to underestimate their own skills. Essentially, people who are incompetent lack the ability to recognize their own incompetence.

Definitely Dunning-Kreuger. Classical. Could he go for the Darwin Award?
(It's hard to win - one guy drank nitroglycerin and threw himself against the wall hoping to blow himself up, Just go really sick with no award)

We note the 7.1 thousand cultists who registered their love for his remarks. The number will likely grow.

Such loyal imbeciles.

Why aren't you taking Trump's words "literallY this time?

Google AI:

Yes, Donald Trump made a state visit to China from November 8-10, 2017. He met with Chinese President Xi Jinping and other officials.
However, during this visit or any other trip to China as president, there's no evidence from the search results that indicates he saw any wind farms.
In fact, some reports indicate that he has publicly stated that he has never seen a wind farm in China

For a psychological based analysis of Trumps support...

It isn't about "reason". It's about "jouissance".

...and why making rational arguments against Trump to his supporters is worse than futile.

Trump says he's never seen a wind farm in China because he was too incurious to ask to see one and learn how it supplements energy needs.

It appears that you're trying to make his idiot claims seem intelligent. They're not. Other remarks in his speech in Iowa were exaggerations, lies, and and just wrong. But his low-information cultists wouldn't know which was which. They swallow anything he tells them because they're cultists who need to have a "daddy" tell them what to think.

And Trump is a man who does not and cannot rationally think. He reacts, he lies, he fantasizes. But he never thinks.

Coal is finite. Wind power not so. My 'futile' observation is that Trump supports the (now rising again) death by Black Lung to a clean breeze on the prairies. The obvious reverse Midas Touch.

It's about cultism.

Of course it is. Because his supporters are irrational.

Says the Trump supporter.
