WE WARNED AMERICA ABOUT THIS MANIAC

Trump suggests taking over New York City and Washington DC

"Trump attacked Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani, who describes himself as a democratic socialist, and ticked through the other contenders, including Eric Adams, Andrew Cuomo and Curtis Sliwa, though he declined to endorse anyone.

'We're not going to have -- if a communist gets elected to run New York, it can never be the same. But we have tremendous power at the White House to run places when we have to,' Trump said.

Trump didn't elaborate on what authority that would be as he then turned his focus to the nation's capital."

Mamdani is not a Communist, he's a democratic socialist.

Many successful countries have a mixture of free market principles and social safety nets, with government intervention in specific areas concerning social welfare:  health care, education, and programs that benefit their citizens.

The idea that a POTUS would take over an American city because he doesn't like the person who was duly, legally nominated by the citizens of that city is abhorrent, unAmerican, and dictatorial in every way.

We all know Trump has the mind of an autocrat, and this latest idea he put out today is more evidence of what happens when a country gives the power of the presidency to a vacuous, malignant narcissist who has delusions of grandeur and no knowledge of the history of our country nor what is in our Constitution.

This idea he put out today is more evidence of his madness and hunger for absolute power.

Mamdani isn't a Commie. He's black.

Shaw Kenawe said...

He is East Asian by parentage, and African by continent of birth - he was born in Uganda. AI Overview

“Whether Zohran Mamdani is considered "Black" is nuanced and depends on his self-identification and how others perceive him. While he is of Ugandan-born South Asian descent and identifies with both "Asian" and "Black or African American" when applying to Columbia University, his racial or ethnic identity is complex. The term "Black" is often associated with people of African descent, but its usage can also be extended to include individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences.”

Why did you feel it necessary to mention race?

Les Carpenter said...

He's also Asian. No wonder he's smarter than rRump.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

So Elon's black too. Got it.

skudrunner said...

His winning the primary is not a surprise because you can't ignore the power of free stuff. The millennials were the ones who pushed Mamdani's win and they have never worked or paid taxes.
He has followed the democrats trend of declaring what race he is depending on what he is trying to accomplish. He is taking the same direction as barry and lizzy. He was brought up privileged in his own words so the, when you are raised in a third world, is a lie because he was brought up in the US with successful parents.

Dave Dubya said...

"Mamdani isn't a Commie."
Good for you, -FJ!
One fact before the smart-ass racism kicked in.
And good for you for realizing Trump is damn LIAR. Baby steps.
Now extrapolate from there and admit Trump LIES whenever he calls Democrats commies.
Can you do that? (Probably not.)

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud, where do you get your information? FAUX NOOZ? Because often it's just plain WRONG. And in this case your sweeping generalization about millennials is absurdly wrong.

"Millennials work and pay taxes like any other generation in the workforce. In fact, Millennials comprise the largest generation in the U.S. labor force.

Workforce Participation: Millennials are the largest segment of the workforce, making them the most represented generation among active taxpayers. They became the largest generation in the U.S. workforce in 2016, and as of the second quarter of 2024, they make up 36% of the labor force."

Here's nonpartisan information on millennials' IRS tax payments.

It's difficult to take what you post seriously when you're information is so absolutely WRONG. Again, where did you find that incorrect data on millennials?

Neither Barack Obama nor Elizabeth Warren were brought up privileged. Wrong information again.

Mamdani lived in a 3rd world country, Uganda, until he was 7 years old. His parents are distinguished and accomplished, so he was brought up in an intellectually and artistically rich home.

He certainly has a more diverse and interesting background than the convicted felon and liar who's leading the country just now.

You seem to be appalled at Mamdani's exaggerations about his younger years, but think Trump is doing a great job for America, despite his ocean of exaggerations, misrepresentations, and outright bald-faced lying lies.

One would think that you're willing to overlook certain traits in a politician as long as he/she checks the correct political party.

Elon Musk's parents have mixed ancestry.

His father, Errol Musk, is of English and South African descent, while his mother, Maye Musk, is of Canadian and South African descent. Specifically, his father has English and South African ancestry, and his mother is from Canada with South African roots as well.

If Elon wishes to call himself Black, he's welcome to. But his proclivities toward Nazi salutes and certain races would probably discourage him from doing so.

This is what Steve Bannon said about Musk: “Why do we have South Africans, the most racist people on earth, white South Africans, we have them making any comments at all on what goes on in the United States?”

AND THERE'S THIS AS WELL.

Free stuff is magic and I never said barry and lizzy were brought up privileged. My daughter is a millennial and she does work an pay taxes and I should have said gen Z, I guess that's the latest identifier. What I did say they chose who to be based on what will serve them better. Barry is black even though he is half white but he identified as black and lizzy is Native even though she has less Native American than I do. Just because she was born in Oklahoma doesn't mean she is Native American, thought you would know that.
Your obsession with trump is preventing you from seeing beyond it.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Actually, skud, you're not correct about GenZ:

"Despite popular misconceptions and some challenges, Gen Z does participate in the workforce and pays taxes. In fact, they are expected to comprise approximately 27% of the US workforce by 2025.

Here's a breakdown of the situation:

Working and Contributing:

Many Gen Zers are actively entering the workforce, either full-time, part-time, or through self-employment and side hustles.

They are earning income and are, therefore, subject to taxes.

Gen Z is even driving a comeback in teen jobs, reversing a decades-long decline in teenage employment according to Axios.

The labor force participation rate for Gen Zers aged 20 to 24 is 71%, although this is slightly lower than previous generations at the same age due to factors like pursuing higher education or seeking nontraditional work.

Many Gen Z workers are focused on career advancement and are willing to put in the work, including working weekends and nights, to achieve their goals.

Taxes and Financial Responsibility:

A significant percentage of Gen Z adults are employed full-time, with 92.5% reporting full-time employment, while 5% work part-time, and 1.4% are self-employed.

93% of Gen Z expect to receive a tax refund, and many plan to use it for necessities such as rent and debt."

skud gets his information from whatever thoughts happen to be rolling around in his mind. Not unlike many.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Do you actually believe that if former President Obama identified as white people would let that go?

You said here that you're from the South, so you must know that it's only been since 1967 that the "One Drop" rule which had been codified into law was deemed unConstitutional.

"The 'one drop' rule, which classified anyone with any known African ancestry as Black, was effectively overturned in 1967 with the Supreme Court's decision in Loving v. Virginia. This case invalidated state laws prohibiting interracial marriage, including Virginia's Racial Integrity Act of 1924. While the legal framework for the "one drop" rule was dismantled, some scholars argue that its social implications continue to be felt.

The One-Drop Rule:
This rule, rooted in historical practices and codified in laws like Virginia's Racial Integrity Act, classified individuals with any African ancestry as Black, regardless of how small the proportion.

The 'one-drop rule,' which defined anyone with any known African ancestry as Black, was codified into law in several Southern states during the early 20th century. This was a legal mechanism used to enforce racial segregation and maintain a binary racial hierarchy, solidifying the concept of 'whiteness' and 'blackness'.

The one-drop rule had a profound impact on the lives of mixed-race individuals, preventing them from identifying as white and subjecting them to the same legal and social restrictions as those with full African ancestry."

Documenting Trump's efforts to remake America into his greedy, hateful, and racist image is not an obsession; it's bearing witness to what happens to a country when a minority loses its mind and votes for a vacuous malignant narcissist who is also a convicted felon and sexual assaulter.

Nothing good can come of that combination, as we are seeing in real time.

Shaw Kenawe said...

BTW, Barack Obama was born in 1961, when the "One Drop" rule was still the law in many parts of the South. Mr. Obama's parents could not have identified him as white on his birth certificate, because even though half of his parentage is white, had he lived in the South, that would have been illegal.

Fortunately, he was born in Hawaii, where such racial laws did not exist.

Why does Skud use the racist name for Obama, as in "Barry Sotero"?
Does he think half Black is anything but Black in this country?
I suppose so, since he accuses Warren of saying she was "native". She said, "native heritage" which was technically correct at 1/32 blood quantum.
I'm 1/8 Ottawa and I hate saying I'm "white" when I'm 7/8 white.
Race check boxes need to have "other" and "mixed", if at all.

Skud is so obsessed with nit-picking at Democrats he FEELS needs to chastise us for calling out Trump's criminal behavior.

Why is he defending Trump, the real threat to our country and terminator of peaceful transfer of power and equal justice under law?

Because he WON'T admit the truth.

Les Carpenter said...

MAGA in majority won't admit the truth. They provide support for a damaged unethical dishonest human form.

Grey One talks sass said...

skud is a master class in and of themselves when they say two disparate things and then waltz to claim a third.

They said first "He is taking the same direction as barry and lizzy. He was brought up privileged...." and then said "Free stuff is magic and I never said barry and lizzy were brought up privileged." Yeah, saying someone walks the same path as another is saying they are alike.

What is it with the Free stuff? Ohhhh.... they are referencing the platform (that thing skud claims the Democratic party lacks - citation: multitudes of comments spread over the blog) I've spoken up for multiple times as has many other young Democratic candidates including Mr. Mamdani.

Here we go again so for the record :basic levels of housing, clothing, nutrition, and medical care along with affordable transportation and earning a living wage are considered rights when taken into context of our society as it exists here/now. All these basic services are not free but paid for by taxes. In a limited way WeThePeople are already doing some of these things but there are gaps, hence the comprehensive list.

There are no unowned lands in our country. Everything you see, whether it has a building on it or not, is owned by someone or something - looking at you Zillow and the banks of the world. These are facts, not opinion.

So when our trolls wail against free stuff, please provide your solution as to how exactly someone like me is supposed to survive without assistance? You expect me to walk into the wilderness and carve out a homestead to survive? As already stated there are no 'free' (literal definition) lands and I've no money because well, reasons, and I'm not alone. So what is your solution?

Thus far all I've heard from trolls here and elsewhere is their constant wailing that someone might get something that they neither need nor want but because someone else is getting something they have to have something too??? Check your ego is all I'm going to say in reply.

I'd love for us to do better because we know better but the ego driven urges of MAGA tells me WeThePeople are in for a rough few years. We can claw it back but there are no magic elections that will suddenly make everything better. WeThePeople have to vote and continue to vote every election. We have to step up to the plate and address the racism in our face. We must become the people we envision when we thing of ourselves as WeThePeople.

At the beginning of this I did say WeThePeople could regain our country but it would be a marathon, not a sprint. Time for sprinting was a decade or so ago. Cross country is the ticket. Hydrate, remember to hydrate and bring snacks. We've got this. Well done us.

The human race has all the internal tools available to realize the solution(s) to the greatest issues/problem facing humanity. But yes, Grey One, the infamous sense of self, the ego, stands in the way. Standing firm blocking the path to realization and recognizing the ultimate truth. We have a very long way to go. Probably a few more eons.

Dave Dubya said...

When people like Skud sneer, "free stuff", they typically mean safety nets for non-whites in need.

Not a peep about $billions in corporate tax cuts, subsidies, and sweetheart deals. Not a peep about public financed sports stadiums. Not a peep about Musk collecting vast troves of personal date of Americans. Not a peep about billions in needlessly militarized law enforcement and their confiscations through civil and asset forfeiture.

Nope. It's always poor brown and black people they target as "takers".

What he won't acknowledge is the Constitution has plain language about "provision for the general welfare", that is separate from having a military and judicial system.

Does he even know that an act for the relief of sick and disabled seamen was passed by the 5th United States Congress. It was signed by President John Adams on July 16, 1798?

Healthcare IS the general welfare. The Founders understood this.

But not Skud. He hates "free stuff".

skudrunner said...

Grey, You do have a talent to generalize everything, I fall into that trap on occasion but am making an effort to reform. Providing assistance for people who cannot support themselves is assistance not free stuff. Providing medical care, housing, food to a 24 year old fully capable of working but why should they when the government will just give them all the free stuff so why work.

Dube,
Why does Skud use the racist name for Obama, as in "Barry Sotero"?
Lizzy used her Native "heritage" on her college app even though it was not true.
As to using the name barry sotero that was his name In high school, Obama continued to use the nickname "Barry" which he kept until making a visit to Kenya in 1980 so I guess that makes hi a racist. (wikipedia)

Shaw Kenawe said...

"In the U.S., the government doesn't provide free housing and food to all able-bodied 24-year-olds. However, there are programs that offer assistance based on factors like income, work status, and household composition.

Able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWDs), including 24-year-olds, are generally subject to work requirements, meaning they must work, participate in a work program, or volunteer at least 80 hours per month (about 20 hours per week) to receive benefits for longer than three months in a three-year period."

skud, you seem stuck on what Senator Warren claimed on certain forms -- that she had Native American heritage. Warren was not accepted into Harvard nor the Texas Bar Assn. based on that claim, according to those institutions, and she has since apologized for believing family lore that was handed down through generations by her family, which stated she had Native American blood (Cherokee & Delaware) in her background. She should have researched those claims more carefully before claiming that heritage -- which she actually DOES have, but it is quite distant. You are remarkably unforgiving for her innocent error.

And you and other Trumpers frequently refer to former President Obama as "Barry Sotero," because who the hell knows why -- maybe it's just to poke fun at his heritage or his racial complexity, or just to emphasize his "otherness?" Only you know. For some reason it bothers you and Trumpers to know that for a brief time in his life he used the name "Barry," and he acknowledged his mother's second husband by briefly taking his name, since his biological father abandoned him and his mother when he was a child. Imagine anyone ridiculing someone for doing that. I can't, except maybe people just enjoy mocking Mr. Obama for trying to connect to a man who became a father figure in his young life.

BTW, Nikki Haley's real name is Nimarata. She chose her middle name, Nikki, probably because a lot of Americans have a habit of making fun of people with "funny" foreign first names, like "Barack," for example.

I've never read you once ridicule Nikki Haley for going by her second name rather than her birth first name, "Nimarata."

Also, I've never heard you or a Trumper call Kash Patel, the head of the CIA, by his birth name, "Kashyap," nor mock him for taking a more "Anglo-style" name, "Kash," for himself either.

I guess for you and Trumpers, a person is to be suspected for using a more "Americanized" name instead of an ethnic name when that person is NOT part of your political tribe. N'est pas?

Dave Dubya said...

"As to using the name barry sotero that was his name In high school," is WRONG. He was called that from age 6 to 10 (NOT in high school in Hawaii) in Indonesia because his mother was married to Sotero.

According to his half sister Maya, Obama, then 19, came home at Christmas in 1980 and told his family there would be no more Barry. From then on, he wanted to be called Barack.

But we get it, Skud. You want to demean him in the way racists do. Got it.

Les Carpenter said...

Hypocrisy and elevated ignorance seems to be the overall condition of the body of MAGA sheeple.

Les Carpenter said...

skud racist? No, can't be. Maybe we're misreading what he regularly pens.

Shaw Kenawe said...

I don't know if skud wants to demean former President Obama when he brings up the fact that when he was young he briefly used the name "Barry" as an alternative to "Barack."

I do see the name "Barry" used on right-wing blogs as a way of ridiculing Mr. Obama (the Mother Ship sailors do it quite often, for example). It is a weird phenomenon, IMO -- mocking a person for experimenting with alternate names for themselves.

In our Italian-American family, many of my relatives did exactly that. Their immigrant parents gave them traditional southern Italian names; and because they were born and lived in America, they Anglicized those names, or changed them completely to fit in.

I had an Uncle Salvatore who changed his name to Sam -- I really DID have a living breathing Uncle Sam! Another uncle changed his name from Antonio to Tony, and an Uncle Luigi became Uncle Louie, and finally, an Uncle Calogero became Uncle Charlie. My paternal grandmother went from "Graziella" to Grace. All of this name-changing was done to "fit in" and be mre American.

Apparently, people like skud and others completely misunderstand why ethnic people do this and think somehow it is for nefarious reasons, when all these immigrants and children of immigrants want is to be accepted as an American.

It takes someone with a lot of self-confidence, and eventual maturity, to accept the name that was given to him/her by their immigrant parent(s) and finally acknowledge it with pride.

Shaw Kenawe said...

I've written here many times that I do not believe skud is racist. I think his dislike of former President Obama has more to do with the fact that he's a Democrat than the fact that he's our first bi-racial POTUS.

Les Carpenter said...

You're a kind person. Much kinder than I. I do not give the benefit of doubt when the rhetoric I constantly read is consistently racist. Mild or otherwise.

skudrunner said...

Dube, As brilliant as obama was he didn't attend high school at 10. I guess wiki is incorrect in their information so perhaps you should straighten them out.

Ms. Shaw, I have never viewed obama as anything but an incompetent, special interest president. I have never given a S--- that he is black, biracial, pink or orange. He attacked the middle class, which I am part of, both verbally and fiscally and that is my only issue with him. The left shows the racism by their actions to be non race driven.

Dave Dubya said...

Skud may not be a racist, but he skirts the borders of bigotry regularly.

An authoritarian personality would feature the insensitivity that accounts for some of it.

He will always give the benefit to Trump and white Republicans while applying different standards to Democrats. He's never criticized white Christian nationalists, so what else can we deduce?

Not that Skud would be interested, but to support my point:

A bad thing but hopefully it results in the disappearance of conservatism and the tRumpublican. It won't, but that's my dream.
