YOUR SUNDAY MOMENT OF SCOTLAND!

EDINBURGH, Scotland (AP) — President Donald Trump played golf Saturday at his course on Scotland’s coast while protesters around the country took to the streets to decry his visit and accuse United Kingdom leaders of pandering to the American.

"Hundreds of demonstrators gathered on the cobblestone and tree-lined street in front of the U.S. Consulate about 100 miles (160 kilometers) away in Edinburgh, Scotland’s capital. Speakers told the crowd that Trump was not welcome and criticized British Prime Minister Keir Starmer for striking a recent trade deal to avoid stiff U.S. tariffs on goods imported from the U.K.

Protests were planned in other cities as environmental activists, opponents of Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza and pro-Ukraine groups loosely formed a 'Stop Trump Coalition.' Anita Bhadani, an organizer, said the protests were “kind of like a carnival of resistance.”

June Osbourne, 52, a photographer and photo historian from Edinburgh wore a red cloak and white hood, recalling “The Handmaid’s Tale.” Osbourne held up picture of Trump with 'Resist' stamped over his face.

'I think there are far too many countries that are feeling the pressure of Trump and that they feel that they have to accept him and we should not accept him here,” Osbourne said. The dual-U.S.-British citizen said the Republican president was “the worst thing that has happened to the world, the U.S., in decades.' ”

The Scottish people are a hardy and wise people. MAGA should learn from them.

Trump, the malignant lying narcissist that he is and always been is only concerned about himself. America is only a secondary concern of his and then only to the degree he profits from it.

The man is a scoundrel and a sociopath. A sickening example of a pathetically empty and cold calculating POS.

One sign read, "Scotland is already great".
And so is their whisky. I'll take a dram of their single malt "water of life" any day over America's "hillbilly corn squeezin's", aka bourbon.
I hope his stupid tariffs don't make it more expensive.

Well, I agree Dave. Single malt scotch is the best. Smokey and petey Talisker is my favorite. Neat, two fingers.

However, a Jefferson Select Kentucky Bourbon is a damn close 2'nd. I stopped buying it several years ago however as the last purchase was a $110.00 a bottle. That was about 7 years ago.

Once tRUMP is gone we should send him a bill for all his travels.

Les,
I knew I finally became an "old white guy" when single malt scotch became my adult beverage of choice. I'll have a beer, glass of wine, or even a bourbon with friends, but for a relaxing evening of reading and listening to music, nothing beats a dram or two of heavily peated 10 year Port Charlotte, with a teaspoon of spring water added to bring out the flavor and "Scotch mist".
The key to this is "non-chill filtered".

SlĂ inte mhath, my friend!
