The FBI Director said the DC Crime violent rate is at a "30 year low"!
I'm sure that's a hard pill for sleepy joe skud to swallow. That somehow, before Trump has done anything, the DC crime has not been better in 3 decades!
We should be celebrating.
Is Patel lying? Or, maybe, just possibly, Trump is making stuff up?
I read that the same way you did, Dave. But here some clarification:
"In the context of the recent discussion about crime in Washington, D.C., FBI Director Kash Patel made statements contradicting claims of rising crime rates. During a press conference on August 11, 2025, Patel emphasized that the country's murder rate was on track to be the lowest in U.S. history and highlighted efforts to address violent crime, including in the nation's capital.
While Patel didn't explicitly state that DC's crime rate was at a 30-year low, the Justice Department announced in January that total violent crime in DC for 2024 was down 35% from the year before."
And Shaw... as your newest post shows, it's a lot below many of our GOP red cities. Also, the 274 number of murders skud cited, while accurate for one year, do not point out the multi year declining trend. Not the 2020 spike that happened while Mr Trump was in office.
Gotta wonder why skud cherry picks his info.
Is it to make sure the GOP doesn't look like the incompetent liars and frauds they are?
Shaw... the stats I've been looking at, as opposed to AI which as skud pointed out takes info from multiple sources, including FOX and people who believe in alternative and false facts, tell an interesting tale about DC crime.
Here's a DOJ statement based solely on publicly verifiable, available information from the DC Metro PD...
"Total violent crime for 2024 in the District of Columbia is down 35% from 2023 and is the lowest it has been in over 30 years, according to data collected by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) and announced by United States Attorney Matthew M. Graves.

Maybe Trump is the real demented one?

I don't think it's a question. It's more an absolute certanty.
