AMERICANS HAVE MORE CONFIDENCE IN GERMAN CHANCELLOR MERKEL THAN THEY HAVE IN TRUMP

AXIOS REPORTS:

A new survey from Pew finds that Americans have more confidence in German Chancellor Angela Merkel (56%) "to do the right thing regarding world affairs" than they do in President Trump (46%).

The U.S. is not alone: Most residents of G20 countries have more confidence in Merkel than Trump, and in seven leading countries — Germany, France, South Korea, the U.K., Canada, Japan and Australia — the margin is at least 40% in Merkel'sfavor.

Trump vs. Obama: Confidence in the U.S. president dropped in 35 of 37 countries since Barack Obama left office.

In European countries, confidence in Trump is as low as 7%. Sweden had the biggest drop, from 93% under Obama to 10% now.

Why it matters: Trump is meeting with leaders, including Merkel, at the G20 summit in Germany today and tomorrow where he'll seek support for his policies on climate change, trade, and immigration. His unpopularity around the world — and in the U.S. — won't help.

Statements made by Trump on Vladimir Putin:

“I do have a relationship with him” November 2013

“When I went to Russia with the Miss Universe pageant, [Putin] contacted me and was so nice” February 2014

“I will tell you that I think in terms of leadership [Putin] is getting an A, and our president is not doing so well” September 2015*

“Yes [we met], a long time ago. We got along great, by the way” October 2015

“I never met Putin. I don’t know who Putin is. He said one nice thing about me. He said I’m a genius
... I never met Putin” July 2016

--The Liar-in Chief, Donald J. Trump

*In this statement, Trump praised the Communist ex-head of the KGB, and denigrated our American president.

Meanwhile, the wingnuts scream bloody "DISRESPECT!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!1" because a majority of Americans reject the guy who praised a Communist over our American President.

As for Germany, the only question that remains is will Angela Merkel lose her next election? Are enough Germans angry enough at her to boot her out of office? If they re-elect Merkel, they get what they deserve

I just read this article on Huffington Post. Amazing, isn't it? How far we've fallen since the knuckle draggers among us elected this orange clown.

Merkel is in a good position to win re-election, thanks to Trump's unpopularity in Europe and the United States.

She's now considered the Leader of the Free World, since America ceded it's leadership once it put an ignorant, bully and fraud in te Oval Office. Trump is not respected by leaders in other countries, and Putin will make Trump kiss his Communist ass.

The National Embarrassment and 30 percent Prezniet tweeted this today:

Donald J. Trump ✔ @realDonaldTrump
Everyone here is talking about why John Podesta refused to give the DNC server to the FBI and the CIA. Disgraceful!

Podesta wouldn't have had control over this decision: He was not a DNC official, and even if you argue that Clinton's campaign could have exerted control over such a thing, she wasn't the Democratic nominee when the situation came to a head.

Just more evidence of Trump's colossal ignorance and the way he turns lies into Tweets so that his dimwitted supporters believe the fables he sends out.

A simple-minded man elected by simple-minded people. SAD!

Does that mean almost half of America (46%) is either stupid, ignorant, or both?

Hi Hum, sad indeed.

Heh! The wingnuts are all excited about Trump's g20 meeting because he didn't wet his pants or drool on Putin. Trump performed minimally and managed to minimally embarrass America, and his supporters are yelling GOOD JOB! Little Donnie! Pathetic! The bar is so low for this jackass.

Actually he may have wet his pants. Why else spend two hours in what was supposed to be a 30 min meeting? Watch for a Russian photo soon.

Putin isn't a Communist. Russia isn't communist. wtf are you talling about... Trump praising a communisr? RU stupid or something.

Shaw Kenawe said...

No, Thersites, I'm not crazy. But it seems YOU are:

Russian President Vladimir Putin delivers a speech at a meeting with members of the All-Russia People’s Front in Stavropol, Russia, January 25. Putin has said he is and has always been fond of Communist “ideas”.

Also, it's quite amusing that you and your compatirots FALSELY accused President Obama of being a "Commie" all during his presidency but have nothing to say about Melania's father, who was the leader of his town's Communist Party, is now living in America's White House!

You and your hypocritical pals are disgusting people.

Thersites, it is better to keep your fingers still and be thought stupid than type shit and remove all doubt.

RN USA, this is from the article linked above in my comment:

At a forum in Stavropol on Monday, Putin piled more criticism onto Lenin, but insisted his attitude to Communist ideas had never wavered and that to this day he keeps his party membership ticket at home.

So, no, Thersites, I'm not "stupid" when I call Putin a Communist. That Putin still keeps his membership ticket at home says it all.
