UPDATE:
If you truly want to understand how dirty the Trump Regime is, you must take the time to read Booman's post on who Natalia Veselnitskaya is and how she's connected to the Russian mafia and how the Russian crooks are connected to the Trump Administration.
New York Times reports:
Before arranging a meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer he believed would offer him compromising information about Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump Jr. was informed in an email that the material was part of a Russian government effort to aid his father’s candidacy, according to three people with knowledge of the email.
Every single person who has been in top positions in running presidential campaigns, Republican and Democratic, have unequivocally stated that if a foreign agent approaches a campaign promising opposition dirt on the opposing candidate, YOU CALL THE FBI.
And several people are calling what Donald Trump, Jr., and his cohorts did, treasonous.
GOP Campaign Veterans Say They Wouldn’t Have Met With Foreign Agent Offering Dirt
“Senior presidential campaign officials don’t take meetings with nameless people.”
WASHINGTON ― Veterans of several Republican presidential campaigns say they would never have taken a meeting like the one attended by Donald Trump Jr. last year in June, just weeks before his father officially became the GOP presidential nominee.
Trump Jr. said he met with Kremlin-linked lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya after she claimed to possess damaging information about former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump’s Democratic opponent.
The president’s son added in a statement that he did not know the identity of Veselnitskaya prior to the meeting and that he asked then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and son-in-law Jared Kushner, now a senior White House adviser, to attend but “told them nothing of the substance” about the get-together.
Trump Jr. and other White House allies on Monday defended the sit-down by attempting to characterize it as a normal campaign exercise ― as if every presidential campaign were willing to accept help from a nameless foreign agent.
Conservative writer, David Frum:
The president Russia helped to install will not punish Russia for helping to install him.
The question now turns to the rest of the American political system. Senate Majority Leader McConnell warned Obama against taking action against Russia during the election. Whatever is said of Obama’s decisions, one of Obama’s motives for inaction was the knowledge that congressional Republicans would take Trump’s and Russia’s side if he tried to act.

Move along. Nothing to see here. Just a bunch of libtards who can't accept the results of an election where they got more votes.
Said the extremists who have now become the mainstream of the GOP. You know the ones... they're the ones claiming anyone who disagrees with them, even though they've served the GOP their whole life are not true conservatives or Republicans.
There will be more to come out on the Trump Crime Family.
Donal Trump is dirty:
Daily Beast: "In other words, Donald Trump Jr. knew what it took the U.S. intelligence community months to publicly declare: Vladimir Putin’s government sought to elect Donald Trump.
Beast. “The offer is after the [DNC] hack itself. They [the Russians] already had the stuff and were figuring out how to use it."
That means many of the denials by the Trump family and top campaign aides about Russia’s interference in the 2016 campaign now have to be seen as deliberate untruths. They knew the Kremlin wanted to give them a hand. They knew before just about anyone."
And Trump's 30 percenters don't care that a foreign government put him in office. They're as dirty as he is. They've sold America down the river to get their punk in office.
It's worse than we thought:
Paul Waldman at The Week:
We don't yet know for sure whether President Trump, his family, or his advisers actively cooperated with the Russian government's effort in 2016 to undermine Hillary Clinton and boost Trump's chances of winning the presidency. But boy, oh boy are they acting like they're guilty of something.
These geniuses may not have constructed an intricate conspiracy, but it's as if they desperately want everyone to believe they did. [...]
Meanwhile, the president can't bring himself to utter a discouraging word about Vladimir Putin, and continues to cast doubt on the question of Russia's interference in our election. Trump even emerged from his recent meeting with Putin saying they had discussed forming "an impenetrable Cyber Security unit" to protect our election system from hacking, which, as former Defense Secretary Ashton Carter said, "is like the guy who robbed your house proposing a working group on burglary." And the administration is trying to weaken a bill moving through Congress to impose sanctions on Russia for its meddling in our election.
When will the 30 percenters stop being Trump traitor enablers and go back to being Americans?
Curiouser and curiouiser:
Russian lawyer says she was summoned to Trump Jr. meeting
he Russian lawyer who met with Donald Trump Jr., Jared Kushner and Paul Manafort last June said today that someone approached her about the meeting at Trump Tower, not the other way around.
In an exclusive interview with NBC's Keir Simmons, Natalia Veselnitskaya said she received a phone call and was asked whether she had information on the Clinton campaign's finances.
"I never knew who else would be attending the meeting, all I knew was that Donald Trump Jr. wanted to meet with me," said Veselnitskaya.
Trump Jr. issued a statement Sunday claiming that he met with Veselnitskaya at the request of an acquaintance from the 2013 Miss Universe pageant, and said the attorney promised she had damaging information on the DNC.
This has now reached the point that denying there was collaboration between the Trump campaign and Russia requires the kind of tortured convoluted logic normally associated with crazy conspiracy theories.
Trump Jr not only said he met with Veselnitskaya when she "promised she had damaging information on the DNC" -- but he apparently didn't even realize how incriminating that statement sounds. Does Trumpdom think this kind of thing is is normal politics? It sure looks that way.
Infidel753: "Does Trumpdom think this kind of thing is is normal politics? It sure looks that way."
Remember, Trump crowed that he could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot someone, and his supporters wouldn't care. Now we can say Trump's campaign could collude with a foreign government hostile to the United States of America, and his supporters wouldn't care.
The Trumpistas have no moral standing and have shown they're more invested in ideology than in being patriotic Americans. Their reason for sticking with the Trump Crime Family?
"He's not Shrillery!"
"Comey appears to have delivered classified information to the New York Times and other media for the sole political purpose of bringing down President Trump."
Comey is a patriot; Donald Trump is a traitor.
"Comey appears to have delivered classified information to the New York Times and other media for the sole political purpose of bringing down President Trump."
What are the odds that a person as well-versed in the law and its consequences as a former FBI director would do that? And who is that sentence quoted from? You have it in quote marks with no attribution.
Deanter, the Trumpistas are desperate. They'll lpost anything.
