FBI Director Comey: "We have no basis to conclude she lied to the FBI."

For all the rabid howler monkeys, including the repulsive bloviating baboon, Donald Trump (who stupidly said Hillary bribed the US AG), claiming the "fix was in" because Hillary Clinton is not going to jail, listen and listen hard to what FBI Director James Comey forcefully said in addressing those claims:

FBI Director Comey at today's Congressional hearing: "We have no basis to conclude that she lied to the FBI."

Just because the deranged people who want Hillary's head on a pike didn't get their way, that doesn't mean you take out your frustration by slandering people you disagree with.  Continue with more hearings if that's what the Republicans want to do, but they'll end up like the BENGHAZI! monkey hearings.

From Politico:

Mica (R-Fla.) kicked off his questions to Comey by telling the FBI director that he would have to explain the bureau’s decision to constituents at cafes he frequents in his home district.

The congressman told Comey that “my folks at home think there is something fishy about this,” implying the possibility of some conspiracy among the Justice Department, FBI and the Clinton campaign to protect the presumptive Democratic nominee from indictment. At the conclusion of Mica’s questioning, Comey asked committee Chairman Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) whether he could address the Florida congressman’s concerns directly.

“I hope what you'll tell the folks in the cafe is, look me in the eye and listen to what I'm about to say,” Comey said to Mica at the conclusion of the congressman’s questioning.

"I did not coordinate that with anyone. The White House, the Department of Justice, nobody outside the FBI family had any idea what I was about to say. I say that under oath, I stand by that. There was no coordination. There was an insinuation in what you were saying. ... I don't mean to get strong in responding, but I want to make sure I was definitive about that.

He may have to be more definitive. Some of those Republican House members are pretty dense.

Kevin, they've made up their minds without the facts.

Being a fan of both Ecclesiastes and The Byrds, I loved this line of yours... Classic!

"There is a time for every purpose under heaven, including a time for hate."

So therefore I hate the Tea Party Republicans who've been trying to destroy this country since Obama became the president and now they intend to deliver the coup de grĂ¢ce by voting for Donald "Asshole" Trump. I embrace my hatred of the enemies of our country.

Anon @11:11PM, we watched this one:

Republicans Thirsty for Hillary’s Blood Hand Her Another Win

"After Hillary Clinton was hounded Javert-like by Republicans and their beltway press stenographers for the past 18 months about her use of a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State, FBI Director Comey concluded his office’s investigation stating nothing she did rose to the level of a crime, nor could he find any intent to commit one. Since he couldn’t prosecute her (this is the guy who led the Whitewater Clinton hunt, after all), Comey did his best to spank her on network news Tuesday, offering up opinions as to her “carelessness” in a rather odd news conference. Instead of being content with a bad Hillary news cycle, greedy Republicans, in their infinite wisdom, chose to “investigate the investigator,” today hauling FBI Director Comey before Congress in what amounted to one of the bigger farces in recent memory."

When you campaign on issues, slander doesn't change the issues. When you campaign on identity, it can work (but obviously doesn't work *enough* for Trump).

That said, the booing of Sanders indicates that lots of Democrats campaign on identity.

President Obama owes General Petraeus an apology and a full pardon.

Yes, the facts in his case were different than those of Hillary grossly incompetent and careless mishandling of classified information. Petraeus handed improperly-safeguarded classified information to an Army Officer who had a security clearance, but not the need to know and most likely not possessing all the SCI caveats. Clearly, Petraeus committed a crime.

Hillary led an entire agency in what the FBI characterizes "extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information." Hillary Clinton led a State Department with a "security culture" ... generally lacking in the kind of care for classified information found elsewhere in the government."

The FBI found 55 e-mail chains that contained classified information. That's not an oopsie. That is a deliberate culture of violating federal statutes. Add in the clandestine server and the documented illegal destruction of public records, and you have clear intent (which is not required under the statutes cited--indeed people are punished under it all the time for careless handling).

The main difference in the Petraeus and Clinton cases is that Petraus illegally handed over improperly-stored classified information to his Army Officer biographer who did possess a security clearance, while Hillary and her staff sent classified information all over the world and left it unsecured on easily-hackable servers that were not authorized to store classified information.

So, who did the greater damage to our nation?

If Hillary walks, Petraeus should also, as should all those others--with no criminal intent--who were prosecuted according to the law's standard of gross negligence.

I'll stop you right there Anonymous. What you dishonestly left out is the FACT that Petraeus hid evidence, and he LIED to the FBI. You apparently don't think that's as serious as the FBI does, but that's a really HUGE difference from what Hillary did.

"Legal documents also show that while director of the CIA, Petraeus lied by telling two FBI special agents during an interview in his office at Langley that he had never provided Broadwell with classified information even though a year earlier he had done just that. Although making false statements to the FBI in the course of a criminal investigation is a crime, Petraeus was not charged with that."

...

After he resigned from the CIA, he signed a document that declared, “I give my assurance that there is no classified material in my possession, custody, or control at this time.” Meanwhile, his eight black books were still sitting in his home in Arlington, Virginia.

In his house, the CIA had installed a special lock box for Petraeus to keep classified materials, but that was removed in January 2013. It wasn’t until April 2013, when the FBI searched his house, that the black books were found in an unlocked desk drawer in Petraeus’s study.

Did Anon not hear Comey say that Hillary did not lie to the FBI.

Do Anon even understand what happens when someone lies to the FBI? Apparently not.

President Obama owes Petraeus nothing. Petraeus disgraced himself all by himself, and Petraeus acknowledged this.

You can blame Hillary for her poor judgement and carelessness, but you can't compare what Petraeus did to what Hillary did.

That's dumbassery.

I think we should sue the RNC to get back some of the millions they've wasted with their idiotic 'investigations' into each and everything Hillary does. Do they really think America isn't wise to their game? Idiots - each and every one of them....
