HEARTLESS: FAKE BLOGGER USING IMAGE OF MURDERED POLICEMAN AS BLOG PROFILE

UPDATE II:  THE "MATT ROSE" FAKE BLOGGER IN THE POST BELOW THIS ONE HAS DELETED THE BLOG  WHICH HAD THE STOLEN IMAGE OF MATT HOYLE IN ITS PROFILE.

ALSO THE "WE THE PEOPLE/TREXPRESS"  BLOGGER HAS DELETED ITS BLOG THAT FEATURED A STOLEN PHOTO OF TIM COLLINS OF THE ROYAL IRISH REGIMENT AND PASSED HIM OFF AS A US MILITARY PERSONNEL.

THAT BRINGS THE TOTAL TO 5 BLOGS THAT HAVE BEEN DELETED THIS WEEK AFTER BEING EXPOSED AS PHOTO ID THIEVES.

UPDATE I:  Deceased policemen aren't the only victims of photo ID stealing.   Here's a blog, "We The People/TREXPRESS" that uses a UK soldier's photo [Colonel Tim Collins of the Royal Irish Regiment] and attaches a litaney of lies to it.

Uncovering the deceptions continues as demonstrated in Pamela D. Hart's comments in the post below and, sadly, this new one.

This particular blog I found, The Thin Blue Line, is especially heartless.

The person who set it up stole a photo of an Oakland, California, police sergeant, Mark Thomas Dunakin, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on March 21, 2009.

According to the profile, this blogger started blogging in July of 2009, 4 months after Sergeant Mark Thomas Dunakin was murdered, and this is what the profile on the fradulent blogger says about himself, using Sgt. Dunakin's stolen photo:

"The Thin Blue Line

After spending 4 years serving Our country in the US Army, and then I attended Cornell University where I earned my degree, in Finance.... Finding that useless I became a member of the New York City Police force and hold the rank of sergeant. Also I'm the proud father of a Son who was recently deployed to Iraq, serving our country."

Lies, lies, damnable lies.  Sgt. Dunakin does NOT have a son deployed in Iraq.  Here is what the Oakland Tribune wrote about him after he died in the line of duty:

Traffic Sgt. Mark Dunakin succeeded at balancing family life, job

By Cecily Burt
Oakland Tribune

Friends and colleagues say Dunakin was a man devoted to his wife, Angela, and children, Anthony, 15, Sienna, 13, and Patrick, 8, and equally dedicated to making Oakland a safer place.
Among the followers of this fradulent blog is our friend, the fake "Matt Rose" noted in the post below.  Note the fake "Matt Rose" and the others who follow this blog and were taken in by the deceit of the sleazebag who set it up and desecrated the image and memory of a valiant police officer.

I suggest you visit the blog before the despicable person who set it up comes to his/her senses and deletes it forever.

Also among those who thought this blog was "great:"

"The Wordsmith said...

You have a great blog her TBL, please keep it going, we need people like you around here.

July 30, 2009 7:48 AM "

Decent bloggers need to join with us and run these worthless imposters off of the internet.

Imagine the family of this fallen hero finding this unimaginable insult to Sgt. Dunakin's memory on the internet, adding to their pain and sorrow.

To the conservative bloggers who are honest and forthright:  This sort of deceit reflects on all of you.  You must shame the unconscionable rats who continue to infect conservative  blogging with this shameful duplicity.

I would expecct that The Malcontent and The Wordsmith will definitely want to ferret out the perpetrator of disgusting and vile act...

This policeman died in March and his photo was stolen in July....

TAO,

As I wrote in the comment section below, I hadn't read Pam's comment about "The Thin Blue Line" before blogging this.

I found it through looking at other conservative blogs and clicked on the link.

I saw the photo in the profile and was immediately suspicious.

I then used a tool Pam had told me about last spring, and discovered what she had discovered as well.

This is sick.

This is not about conservative/liberal issues.

This is about stopping the disgusting use of other people's images and spreading lies about those images all over the internet.

I think every conservative blogger with a conscience will do something to right this terrible wrong. And we should support all their efforts.

sickening just plain sickening...

What about this blog,
PSI Bond, where the blogger steals the identity of the Medal of Honor winner, Charles Liteky.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Pam,

The Medal of Honor winner whose image has been stolen by that blogger has become a peace activist.

The blogger who stole the photo and used it on the blog apparently was too careless to find out who was behind that photo. A peace activist.

And some of the commenters on the blog are fawning all over the fake blogger.

Well, one right-winger has made a pitiful attempt to semi-excuse this behavior. Check out the comment I just got from Silverfiddle:

Oh no! People disguised as sea animals, flags, and simpson characters. you guys should get the clouseau award for tour inntertubez sleuthery!!!!

As he perfectly well knows, the issue is not people using non-human avatar pictures which are obviously not of themselves; it's their stealing the identities of real people.

(I, on the other hand, actually do look like a pair of stars surrounded by a glowing red spiral of hydrogen.:-))

I was reading BlurPitBull the other day and noticed a long comment from Malcontent denying the whole thing, but not addressing any of the evidence.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Infidel,

SF is being deliberately obtuse in making excuses for loutish behavior by people he apparently admires.

Apparently he's not bothered by bloggers who steal dead policemen's images and pass them off as their own.

I don't take him seriously on any issue.

SilverFish is incapable of comprehending ethical or moral conduct because he is himself a shameless plagiarist, predator, and fly-by troll whose self-appointed mission is to disrupt conversation threads by annoying anyone whom he perceives as ‘liberal’ with sarcasm and insults. This makes him no different than the cyber-scammers mentioned in these posts.

Hmmm, think I'll steal Mal's avatar.

I had a run in with The Thin Blue Douche a while back. He was so holier-than-thou it was unreal. I knew he was a fraud. What an assclown.

Shaw: Actually that brings the total to 7. I don't have my list with me right now because I'm at work, so I'll try to go from memory:

1. Matt Ross
2. The Saint
3. Mary, Mary
4. Eric's Eyes
5. TrexExpress
6. A Right American
7. Sarah G.

Good Job! And a big thank you. Those are all on the list of the ones who left my blog PLUS ganged up on me and Blue Pitbull because we "talked" to Liberals.

What about MyFiles? He acted all military and junk, but the way he treated me when I stuck up for James Wolfer indicated that he wasn't a military man at all, but another pretender.

I think the following are suspect:

- The Pragmatis
- Gautama (used to be Inquiring Minds Want To Know)...IMWTK had a picture of a guy but Gautama's profile says Female

I've had slight "encounters" with both and their tone is eerily similar to a certain “proud Conservative called a domestic terrorist”

Pamela Zydel said...

Blue & Mopper: I'm at work and don't have my notes with me. I did check My Files and his picture "appears" to be authentic, so far, but maybe Shaw found something else.

I don't think I was able to find Inquiring Minds. There were about 6 blogs that I couldn't find at all. From memory: My Thoughts, Eyes of An Angel and Walt's World...that's all I can remember.

If someone else can find them send me the links. Or if someone thinks of any suspicious blogs let me or Shaw know and we'll check them out.

(Shaw, I hope I'm not over-stepping any bounds by saying that!)

The J Mopper said...

Below is a link to my seldom followed blog. If you click on the [male] Pic of IMWTK it will direct you to a blogger ID of Gautama.

http://thejmopper.blogspot.com/2010/02/john-edwards-is-scumbag.html#comments

The posts on Gautama have the same tone, language, and misspellings as "someone else"...as does the Pragmatis. Obviously not conclusive evidence of being phony.

Apologies for the lack of hyperlink - I'm not too well versed in HTML.

Pamela Zydel said...

Thanks Mopper. I'll check into it when I get home and I'll send you a "cheat" (so to speak) for linking. It's easy.

JMopper, if you post something new, I'll be a follower of yours...

Mary, Mary Quite Contrary shut her/his blog down last night, however, I found a way to still look at the shut down blogs and guess what! All the photos are OFF Mary, Mary’s blog! Look here.

Also, 6 other blogs have been shut down: David Speaks Right, Joseph’s Journal (which used to be Phantom Man), Thru My Eyes, Conservative News & Opinions, Frank the Thinking Man (Dana Delany’s husband!), and Just Keep Walking.

We are making progress! And it PROVES these blogs are not only fake as monopoly money, but the people who set them up are running scared. They KNOW they are GUILTY as sin.

Someone else looking into fake blogs too... said...

shaw, here's another fake blog:

"She" calls herself a proud American but goes to Asian porn sites for her photo? Huh?

I noticed "she" went after you the first time you called "her" on "her" other Asian porno avatar.

What a fraud.

Keep up the good work.

We have your back.

Last update for the night, well... technically morning, but I'm a night owl, so it's night. :)

This blog plagiarized from here.
Then did it again on this post using this Politico comment section. Read comments # 15, 16, and 19. It’s safe to assume that this blogger is a total CHEAT and a PLAGIARIZER.

And another 10 blogs shut down! An American Girl, My Right View, Nap Queen, A New York Guy’s View, Chronicles of a Conservative, Walt’s World, Things that Piss Me Off, Willies World of Reason, Sandy’s Thoughts, and Cutie Pie’s World. That makes a total of 23 so far. I expect more to follow.

Question: Looking at them, I noticed that a lot of these (possibly astroturf) bloggers use "101" after their blog name in the URL.

Aside from the collegiate use as a simplified course (which, if you really think about it, makes no goddamned sense in context), could this be some kind of placemarker? As in "This is a blog from Drone A - don't pee in my area."

Just a thought.

Sue said...

Cynic I believe they use the 101 because of Truth 101. If all these fakes are the same person and they all started because of their hate for our dear TRUTH man!! Also Bluepitbull makes an observation I have always wondered about... Malcontent claiming to be a Marine but talks such filth about our president and government, that does not sound like what our military men are about. I say he is NO MARINE!!

Sue said...

Shaw check this out and give me your thoughts on it...

Since the video is from "the Blaze," it's probably faked or out of context.
