From “The Intellectualist” on “X”

Donald Trump seated in a New York City courtroom: ✍️ 📸

Donald Trump, whose life has been marred by criminal behavior, arguably should have spent more time in such confines.

His father's wealth shielded him from accountability, allowing him to evade the consequences of his actions. Without this financial backing, Trump might have spent his life cycling through institutions and asylums for the many schemes he concocted.

Instead, money enabled him to masquerade as a member of polite society, a position he never deserved.

He often portrayed himself with a strength he lacked, hurting those he could easily exploit. There he sits, appearing pathetic in the courtroom, a place where he always belonged.

In the courtroom, Trump sits with a visibly sullen expression, his once confident demeanor replaced by a look of resignation.

His shoulders are slightly hunched, and his hands rest uneasily on the table before him, clutching a document. Dressed in a dark suit and a striped blue tie that contrasts starkly with the bright, sterile environment of the courtroom, he appears diminished, a far cry from the brash persona he often projected.

The courtroom setting, with its austere furnishings and the serious faces of those present, underscores the gravity of the situation. This is a man who has spent a lifetime avoiding such moments, now caught in the very place many believe he rightfully belongs.

Trump has violated boundaries his entire life. These are not mere allegations.

He is a twice-impeached adjudicated rapist who has been found liable for defrauding a charity and for sexual abuse. He is currently facing 88 criminal counts in four separate indictments across four jurisdictions.

There is a certain satisfaction in seeing Donald Trump, a man who has built his career by punching down and exploiting those he pretends to champion, now humbled in a courtroom. He is being forced to listen to the condemnations of people who despise him.

As Hemingway wrote in "The Old Man and the Sea," “But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” However, Trump must be defeated, because he is too dangerous to American liberty.

Facing charges relating to hush money payments to a porn star and a Playboy model, both individuals with far more character and ability than he possesses, Trump now wears his dishonor for all the world to see—a fate he always feared but inevitably deserved.

Steven Beschloss:

“Speaker Mike Johnson’s violation of our judicial system with his attacks against a witness in an American courtroom and his condemnation of a legitimate judicial proceeding is chilling. Remember this day. If his party expands its power and criminal defendant Trump gets back into the White House, this day will have been a notable harbinger of their commitment to destroy our democracy.

The support for criminality and against justice and the rule of law by this Republican Party and its House speaker is beyond appalling.

Behold the Christian Right’s decent family values guy for POTUS

CORRECTION:  Trump’s former mistress, Karen McDougal, sued Fox News for defamation in 2020, NOT Trump.  The judge presiding over the case dismissed it.  I was sent this incorrect info via email from someone who reads my blog.  I did not check its veracity.  My bad.

BREAKING FOX NEWS: “Reliable sources report Karen McDougal has filed a 92 million dollar defamation suit against Donald Trump. In the suit McDougal accuses Trump of violating a Non Disclosure Agreement & then slandering the one time Playboy model.

*******************************************************

"The spin he wanted put on it was that this is 'locker room talk,' something that Melania had recommended, or at least he told me that’s what Melania had thought it was, and use that in order to get control over the story and to minimize its impact on him and his campaign," testified Cohen.”

The phrase "locker room talk" was spread widely by the Trump campaign and MAGA hacks in the media to downplay the recording in which Trump bragged about grabbing women "by the p*ssy."

Cohen also revealed that Trump wasn't particularly worried about Melania finding out about his Stormy Daniels affair. Trump told Cohen to handle the problem, but also told him to "push it out as long as you can, past the election, because if I win, I’ll be president, and if I lose, I won’t really care."

When Cohen asked Trump if he was worried the affair might affect his relationship with his wife, Trump seemed unbothered. "'I said to him, how’s things going to go upstairs?" said Cohen.”

'Don’t worry,' he goes. He goes: 'How long do you think I’ll be on the market for? Not long.'”

“He wasn’t thinking about Melania. This was all about the campaign," said Cohen.

The "on the market" bit was clearly Trump saying that he didn't care if Melania got upset and left him, because he could always find a new wife to replace.

Found on the Mother Ship

“Next time you think Americans have changed and not in a good way, remember, it’s mostly fake. Most people think just like you do, but the media has brainwashed Americans. It’s called social engineering. It’s here, and it’s effective.”

Mostly fake?

40% of the American voting population would like to vote in as POTUS again an adjudicated rapist and tax fraudster; a man indicted on 88 felons; a man who is a serial adulterer, who cheated on all three wives, and even cheated on his mistress; a man known for not paying people who contracted work from him; a man who is a verified grifter selling autographed Bibles, gold sneakers,, and pieces of the suit he wore when he surrendered to the police.  A Liar, a cheat, a fraud, and a rapist.

As long as there are Americans who will vote for the human wreckage that is Trump, we have to acknowledge that America HAS changed.  And NOT in a good way.

“I’ll take things that are true for $2,000, Alex.”

 Brooklyn Dad Defiant:

I still can't get over how the guy who had condomless sex with a woman RIGHT AFTER HE TOLD HER SHE REMINDED HIM OF HIS DAUGHTER is still a candidate.

I mean, he's the worst candidate in the history of everything. Absolute worst.

During any other period in history, he would have been politically ruined forever after his former Vice President, previous GOP House Speaker, and dozens of other party leaders spoke out AGAINST him.

He should have been ruined after his "fine people on both sides" comment at Charlottesville.

Or his "suckers and losers" comment about our fallen soldiers. Or mocking the disabled reporter.

He is routinely losing double-digit voters in primaries to Nikki Haley, who dropped out months ago.

Joe Biden beat him BEFORE he was facing all of these legal issues, he will absolutely destroy him again.

Joe Biden got more done for America in his FIRST year than trump did in his entire presidency.

Joe Biden REGAINED the millions of jobs that trump lost, and tacked on millions more for good measure, for a whopping total of 15 MILLION JOBS.

Joe Biden made it possible for air travelers to get automatic refunds if their flights are delayed or canceled -- with NO RED TAPE.

Joe Biden brought manufacturing jobs back to the United States. All those folks complaining about foreigners "takin' their jobs?" He brought 'em back.

Joe Biden even stood on a damn picket line with striking workers, the first President to do so, standing in solidarity with them.

Joe Biden passed bills that are SO good, Republicans voted against them and STILL try to take credit for them.

You heard about the price of insulin being locked in so it costs no more than $35/month? Joe Biden did that. Republicans can't take credit for it, so they're actually trying to REVERSE it.

Joe Biden, a devout Catholic, is fighting for the rights of Women to have access to abortion, while his opponent is bragging that he's the one who ended it.

Joe Biden told YOUR guy to shut the hell up, then he beat him by 7 million votes, took his job, and did it 100 times better.

And still, we're scratching our heads over here like "Are you SURE that's your final answer? Mr. I Wanna Be a Dick Tater?"

The adjudicated rapist of E. Jean Carroll.

The guy who incited an insurrection.

The guy who stole classified secrets.

The guy who lost over 2 million jobs.

The guy who lies about everything.

The guy who botched COVID.

The guy who soils his diapers.

The guy who can't stay awake.

The twice impeached buffoon.

GOOD NEWS!

BREAKING: “Steve Bannon’s appeal was unanimously rejected and he will be ordered to prison soon. By staying his prison sentence, he will now be incarcerated during the election.”

Robert Reich:

“A new CBO report estimates that extending the Trump tax cuts for the next 10 years would add $4.6 trillion to the deficit.

Remember this the next time Republicans propose cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. The ‘party of fiscal responsibility’ is full of it.”

In a nutshell, this is Trump’s whine:

“Every judge who hears a prosecutor’s case against me is corrupt!

Every prosecutor is corrupt!

And even though I didn’t do anything wrong I need complete immunity just in case!”

Fox host: What's wrong with Congress? Why can't you secure the border?

GOP Rep. Self: The problem is the Republicans, not the Democrats. My Republican colleagues are unwilling to vote to secure the border.

Congressman Keith Self is currently serving his first term in Congress as the Representative of the 3rd District of Texas

Kristi “ The Puppy Killer” Noem…

Mistakenly remembered meeting with Kim Jong Un, the tyrant of North Korea.

Who among us has not mistakenly remembered meeting with the murderous dictator of North Korea and then realized we made the whole thing up?

Hasn’t this happened to all of us at one time or another?

In No Going Back: The Truth on What’s Wrong with Politics and How We Move America Forward, Noem wrote that she met the North Korean leader while she was in Congress as South Dakota’s representative, according to news outlets which obtained a copy of the book ahead of its publication on May 7. The Dakota Scout reported the news on May 2, which was then picked up by other outlets.

“I had the chance to travel to many countries to meet with world leaders—some who wanted our help, and some who didn’t,” the New York Times quoted Noem as writing. “I remember when I met with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un. I’m sure he underestimated me, having no clue about my experience staring down little tyrants (I’d been a children’s pastor, after all). Dealing with foreign leaders takes resolve, preparation, and determination.”

After doubt was cast upon this account, Noem and her spokesperson Ian Fury told news outlets the statement shouldn’t have been in the book and would be corrected ahead of publication.

In an interview with CBS News’ Face the Nation that aired on May 5, journalist Margaret Brennan asked Noem: “Did you meet Kim Jong Un?”

“Well you know, as soon as this was brought to my attention, I certainly made some changes and looked at this passage, and I’ve met with many, many world leaders, I’ve traveled around the world,” Noem responded. “As soon as it was brought to my attention, we went forward and have made some edits. So I'm glad that this book is being released in a couple of days, and that those edits will be in place, and that people will have the updated version.”

Brennan then asked: “So you did not meet with Kim Jong Un? That's what you're saying.”

“No, I’ve met with many, many world leaders,” Noem said. “...I’m not going to talk about my  specific meetings with world leaders, I’m just not going to do that. This anecdote shouldn’t have been in the book and as soon as it was brought to my attention, I made sure that was adjusted.”

Fury previously told the Dakota Scout that the book’s publisher would be “addressing conflated world leaders’ names in the book.” Fury was also quoted telling other news outlets that the North Korean leader was mentioned in error.

Had another lovely walk in the Laguna hills today

Then came home and read this:

Good morning: I regret to inform you that the "independent" accounting firm for @realdonaldtrump's Trash Social was just charged by the SEC with "with widespread fraud and accused of operating a 'sham audit mill.'" I know you're as surprised as anyone. —Rick Wilson

Anything Trump gets involved with ends up being deceitful, illegal, and/or venal.

And his cultists want him in the Oval Office again?!

Today, outside the courthouse:

“You know our country is being inundated with criminals,” said Trump, who’s facing 88 criminal indictments; who has been adjudicated a sexual assaulter/rapist; a tax fraudster; and is currently on trial in criminal court.

Trump thinks his MAGAs are dumb.

Today he told the press waiting outside the courtroom that he’s not allowed to testify because of the gag order imposed by the judge.

Anyone with half a brain would know that’s a stupid lie

Trump MAGAs?
