ROMNEY'S SHAME

All Americans understand that you don't criticize your country or its president while on foreign soil.  All Americans except Willard Romney.  He, apparently, believes he's above that expectation.  He believes Americans like to hear their president being torn down while making points with a country that is not his own.

Mitt Romney would restore 'Anglo-Saxon' relations between Britain and America

Mitt Romney would restore "Anglo-Saxon" understanding to the special relationship between the US and Britain, and return Sir Winston Churchill's bust to the White House, according to advisers.

In remarks that may prompt accusations of racial insensitivity, one suggested that Mr Romney was better placed to understand the depth of ties between the two countries than Mr Obama, whose father was from Africa.

President Obama met his father once in his life, when he was a child.  Mr. Obama was raised by his mother and her parents--who were from the very heart of America--Kansas.  This is a rank race-baiting attempt on Willard's part to make Mr. Obama out to be a "foreigner" or "the other."   Willard's father, BTW, was born in Mexico.  I wonder how Willard's father's Mexican heritage influences Willard's attitude toward his Anglo-Saxon heritage.

Shame on Romney and his staff for promoting this anti-American tactic.

“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said of Mr Romney, adding: “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have”.

The "special relationship is special?"  And that stupid remark is stupid, Mr. Adviser."

Willard just can't stop himself from insulting America.  Yes.  It is an insult to  America when on foreign soil he says such nonsense about the POTUS.  Willard may not like President Obama's policies, but he is our American president, and Willard needs to learn some manners.

Imagine if a Democratic politician went abroad and made absurd claims about the Republican president that put him or her in an unfavorable light.  The GOP would have screamed bloody, dirty, scandalous partisan politics!

But IOKIYAR!

Romney is clearly a rank amateur in foreign protocol, imagine how more embarrassing he'd be as the POTUS.

Oh, and did we mention Willard makes up stories?

Mitt Romney and Australian official disagree on comment that U.S. is ‘in decline’

The Republican presidential candidate said he was relaying comments made by the Aussie foreign minister, but Bob Carr says he meant to express confidence in the U.S. economy, not undermine it.

While it is frowned upon for politicians to criticize a sitting U.S. president while overseas, Romney will be looking to contrast Obama’s international policy with his own foreign policy agenda.

But that won't stop the GOP candidate from making stuff up.  If that's all he's got [and it appears it is], he's got nuthin'.

Remember Jimmy (the peanut President) Carter?

Remember the current President's (you didn't build it) apology tour?

Having trouble curbing the laughter on this on.

RN, if you still are swallowing the GOP talking point that Mr. Obama said "you didn't build it" you're a bigger fool than others have deemed.

He never said that, yet you and your conservative pals continue to promote that lie.

Good luck with that crap. It isn't going to work.

Your protestations that you're not a conservative are false. You suck up to them all the time, and you haven't failed on this issue either.

The laugh is on you.

What is it with you and shame?

Grappling at how you're going to spin Obama's mistake (Real Beliefs) aren't ya Shaw?

What President said is there for all to hear. Deny reality all you like Shaw, the record stands and it speaks for itself.

Most Americans aren't stupid.

Whatever you view my politics as being is immaterial Shaw, those with an active mind, not strangled by lockstep leftist ideology know the truth.

My horse remains Gary Johnson. Irrespective of a third party and my support thereof Obama should lose in 2012, and if logic and reason prevails he will.

It is just unfortunate that Romney, the Mittens Flip Flopper is the Republican candidate running against the Community Organizer.

Silver's question remains a good one Shaw. And I beg to difer, the laugh is on YOU.

"Most Americans aren't stupid."

And as RN likes to tell us all the time, he is not like most Americans

"In that speech,Obama repeated his opposition to Romney’s proposal to cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans, saying there are successful people who agree and who want instead to forgo tax breaks and “give something back.” He added that those who succeed in business are aided by personal mentors and government policies that support infrastructure and technology.

“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help,” Obama said. “There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

Obama was referring to the roads and bridges — not businesses — as having been built by government.

But coming from a sitting president, the comments were of another magnitude. While taking liberties with the context, the Romney campaign seized on “You Didn’t Build That” as a rallying cry Wednesday." --WaPo

Patently dishonest, and RN came to this blog to spread the dishonessty further.

You say your horse in this race is Johnson? I seldom read anything about him from you, but you never fail to slam the president.

Hogwash.

This from your own post.

"If you’ve got a business, you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen.”

How else would anyone interpret that statement other than exactly what it says. Seems like he did say you didn't build your own business, before he said you did.

Maybe Romney will give a rally in Germany and tell the world what a cruel country the US is, followed by walking through arches, worked for your current leader.

Tough to lie his way out of this one because it is well documented and, other than the lock step believers, people know exactly what he meant. You don't think he would lie do you?

Did Edison pay the cost of electrifying the first community?
Do sports team owners pay for the arenas their teams play in, and generate billion of profit for themselves?
Would business have the outreach they do, without the Highway system?
Was America built by individuals, or team work?
Oil, gas, electric utility companies, etc., would not have gotten started, without subsidies from the tax payer.
Did some ONE build our schools, roads, police, fire, or did that happen through communal taxation?
How many individuals now have their own company, because of government help like the SBA?
Did a private person build the Hover Dam, the Park system and other national treasures?
Republiscums deny receiving help of any kind means crediting any one but themselves for success.
Republiscums said the same nonsense when Hilary wrote, it takes a village.
Republiscums deny communal taxation has been the secret to our success.
Republiscums think rich individuals built this country all by themselves.
Republiscums lie about what the president said and meant.
Republiscums deny any government help, or project is/was necessary for the progress of America.
Americans know Republiscums are lying fools.
We know RN is the bigger fool.
Republiscums deny communal taxation is the path of our success, it doesn't put money in their pockets.
Republiscums cry government involvement is evil, but praise the much larger involvement of corporations in our lives.
Republiscums prefer insurance companies (huge bureaucracies) be in charge of our health decisions, not individual doctors.
Republiscums cry individuals should be responsible for their own decisions in and about life, yet, they decide how Terry Schivo should die, or that women cannot have abortions, a legal procedure.
Republiscums decided to spend more than they took in, thus bankrupting America.
Republiscums just voted down a jobs bill, I guess they think Bill Gates will hire 800,000 more people.
Republiscums cut food stamps by hundreds of millions at a time when hunger is up, I guess they think those millions of hungry people will be fed by rich individuals.
Republiscums love that corporate earnings are at an all time high, while workers wages have gone down.
Republiscums think lower wages will pay the bills, when it's obvious Americans cannot pay their family bills, and are to poor to even qualify to pay taxes.
There is so much evidence that Republiscum policies have done so much harm to America, I could go on for hours.
Republiscums are happy they have passed zero appropriation bills, while the country deteriorates due to lack of investment.
Republiscums stated goal by their fearless leader (MCconnell) is to defeat the president and are willing to let Americans suffer for political gain.
Republiscums leader (Romney) just said Holms bought his killing gear illegally, a lie. To dodge the question of what we do about legal gun sales, not illegal gun sales.
Republiscums support their leaders lies, and think liars are the ones who should be running this country.
Republiscums cries are the last gasp of a dying political culture, white supremacy.
Republiscums have a burn and destroy strategy, as they die out.
Republiscums will leave nothing useful behind as they die off, like the policy of every tyrant that has ever failed at trying to rule the world.
History, the passing of time, has recorded the true facts of the downfall of America (Republiscum policies) but like most losers Republiscums would rather destroy than admit they were wrong.
History shows Republiscums made the same mistakes in the 1920's, so it seems they meet the qualifications of insanity.

ooohh, Republiscums, how original Steve.

But you didn't build that idea, Sue did. And that is a fact!

I don't know who Sue is, but Republiscums has been around for decades, so I doubt it.
Hey, Mr. no dog in this race, just wondering where your post is about the lie Romney told yesterday? You know the one about Holms having bought all his weapons illegally.
Your still bashing Obama for something he said a week ago. Get with it Mr. Neutral.

Been busy with career search (at 60) in the Obama economy. But I'll certainly get to it sometime today or tomorrow. Thanks for the info.

Paul said...

Please don't blame Obama for not being able to find a job at 60. Even in good times very few jobs are offered to a 60 year old.
Why blame Obama for not being able to find a job, you don't need government, right?

Les Carpenter said...

Oh Stevie boy, hate to burst your bubble. I am not blaming him personally for having been displaced after yet again the company restructured, the loss of revenues do in part to a declining market for the product the company produced. Of course not.

What I hold him somewhat responsible for is the overall economy which remains very sluggish. But of course even after almost four years it remains, and will forever remain GWB's fault, now won't it.

I'm not worried, with my ackground I'll bounce back.

Toodles Stevie Boy.
