Matt Gaetz is out!

The Felon-elect's monumentally stupid choice for Attorney General of the US, Matt Gaetz, has withdrawn.

Why in the hell did the Felon-elect put his name up for the nomination in the first place?

Who will he nominate next?  Steve Bannon?

The dictator wannabe Felon-elect threatened Republican senators:

ABC News reports that the Trump team issued this warning to Republican senators considering a vote against Matt Gaetz:” “If you are on the wrong side of the vote, you’re buying yourself a primary. That is all. And there’s a guy named Elon Musk who is going to finance it"

The guy's never wrong! Amirite?  LOL!LOL!LOL!

That is good news especially for hunter and schiff. Now trump has to find a new AG with a ax to grind who will take on the corrupt DOJ.
I guess the minority of voters are really into trying to obstruct getting anything accomplished.

Bannon at least has brains, though he's completely evil.

At this point I'm half expecting Trump to pardon Ghislaine Maxwell and put her in charge of the school system.

Corrupt only in your conspiratorial mind. You sound just like Trump!

The Gaetz nomination proves yet again what too many Americans forgot between 2020 and 2024 - that Trump is a bumbling, immoral , incompetent fool.

You Know Who has successfully cut the heart out of what was once the Party of Lincoln. A party of progress that has not existed certainly since GWB, if not before.

Can't help but believe that this nation is finished as a democracy or republic in any way, except in name only.

As You Know Who gains in power his adversaries are likely going to be threatened with physical violence, perhaps even death.

America hasn't yet tasted that which is coming. Much of America chose to close their eyes and ears to reality. And the nation in total will suffer the results for years to come.

Skud... with no snark, and all seriousness, can you please tell us, objectively, in what ways the DOJ is corrupt. Not where you disagree, but where exactly they have been corrupt.

Gaetz would have been better for the wonderful but defunct Trump University.
His law school classmates at Willian & Mary were impressed -
"In 2021, just before news of the federal sex trafficking probe broke, nearly three dozen of Gaetz's former classmates called on him to resign. More than 500 William & Mary Law School alumni, including 34 members of Gaetz's graduating class, signed a petition urging him to step down. The letter criticized Gaetz's efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his claims about Antifa being behind the January 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.'

"Ethics committee told of second sexual encounter between Matt Gaetz and 17-year-old at party, sources say"

The Republican Party has become the party of trash. The adjudicated sexual assaulter/rapist, Trump, nominated a pedophile for AG of the US; and the woman he chose for Secy. of Ed. has been credibly accused of enabling the sexual abuse of children. His pick for Secy. of Defense was accused of sexual assault.

When you put a convicted criminal/sexual assaulter in charge of our country, you get pedophiles, child sex abusers and assaulters in the highest positions of government.

That's what the Republican Party has become: Trash and a disgrace to America.

Well, Trump did wish he well when she was arrested for raping children. So there's a possibility he'd do just that. Why not? He nominated a pedophile for A.G.!

Almost all Trump's cabinet picks have some sort of sexual-abuse charges or allegations hovering over them. It's like he views that as a positive qualification.

Infidel... it's not almost all. A significant number? Well, I'd argue that one is one too many so the 4 or 5 folks are significant.

I'm glad Gaetz is gone, but I'm left with this question... why was he nominated? Bondi is a perfectly "normal" AG nominee. Why not her first? She's qualified, she's managed government departments, she's been elected, etc.

There's got to be something else.

I hope it's not to get him out of the House so Gov DeSantis can award him Rubio's Senate seat.

She's also an election denier. Was this merely a planned event? Same agenda, prettier face?

You may be on to something Dave.
