YOUR SUNDAY MOMENT OF ZEN

Train your eyes and ears; train your nose and tongue. The senses are good friends when they are trained. Train your body in deeds, train your tongue in words, train your mind in thoughts. This training will take you beyond sorrow.”

I bet most of the world's religions have admonitions like this. Sadly, many of us struggle with them, because training yourself to be honorable can be difficult.

When looking, without judgment or preconceived beliefs, one will find many similarities in ancient spiritual beliefs. In fact, the Gnostic Christian's spirituality mirrors some of the Buddha's wisdom. Not all but some. Siddhartha Guatama, the Buddha came 500 years before Jesus and I'm guessing Jesus learned much from the Buddha's teachings. As it is quite possible, perhaps even likely, Jesus traveled to India and Tibet during the years that are not accounted for in the Christian Holy Roman Bible.
