The Shame of America

Trump is so embarrassingly stupid:

Norway’s PM says that he has explained to Trump several times that the Norwegian government has no say in the Nobel Peace Prize.

“Considering your Country decided not to give me the Nobel Peace Prize … I no longer feel an obligation to think purely of Peace, although it will always be predominant, but can now think about what is good and proper for the United States of America,” Trump’s message to Jonas Gahr Støre. “The World is not secure unless we have Complete and Total Control of Greenland.”

Stocks sell off globally as traders digest Trump message saying he wants Greenland because ‘your Country decided not to give me the Nobel’

You know, I was kind of hoping Trump would act true to form and embody every abusive relationship trope in the book. I know, eewww but still, hear me out.

See, in the treaty with Denmark which was signed more than a minute ago for the Virgin Islands there is clear wording stating in exchange for the Island complex the USA would leave Greenland alone.

And here we are.

I'm hoping some crack lawyer type who despises all things MAGA takes a look at these old treaties. I mean, with Trump breaking everything he can find I am sure that lawyer will find similar poison pills in many of them, not that the clauses were considered poison back in the day because... well, who would do such a thing? I know, who would, right?

Per the kids I've been reading there are many treaties that might also come under renewed scrutiny. First mentioned was the Louisiana Purchase, the state of Alaska, and the entire American Southwest used to be owned by Mexico. Since he opened this door I'm encouraging the kids to rummage around a bit to see if anything can help us here/now.

I said all that in a cheerfully evil voice to say that what is happening in Minnesota is disgusting. What is happening in Trumps brain is distressing. And what is happening on the world stage as it relates to the USA is encouraging. The world is with us, not the Trump admin, a fact I find refreshing.

My thoughts this day are with the families who've lost loved ones into the ICE detention/concentration camp system (the numbers of murders keep growing, may the information always find it's way to the light). They are also with those who just wanted to get home but our White Supremacist ICE agents decided to play trap a car with flash bangs, terrorizing children before gassing them with the green HC gas which is not safe for anyone let alone a baby. Shame on Fox "news" (specifically Jesse Watters) for playing the shame blame game when they told their viewers that the mother of the baby brought her child to a riot. No lie too low, no slur to evil will ever be missed by that crew.

And that is why they will be defeated because evil NEVER serves it's own purposes. How do I know? China and Canada just ended talks - trade talks. All those orders which used to include the USA? Yeah, that ship has sailed.

"I didn't win the Nobel Peace Prize so I want to destroy the world" is the single most unhinged thing I've ever heard.

I thought his letter to Norway’s PM wasn’t real, but I checked and it is.

Trump is getting crazier by the day. His saying he is no longer thinking only of peace because he didn’t get the Nobel prize is something I might expect from a kindergarten student who didnt win the “best coloring within the lines contest”. We and the world are in big trouble.
