Supreme Court strikes down Trump’s one-man tariff war
In anticipation of the high court’s ruling, big-name companies like Costco, Revlon and Bumble Bee Foods filed lawsuits in the U.S. Court of International Trade to secure tariff refunds for billions of dollars.

This is good news.
Unfortunately this type of decision is usually followed by another travesty of handing Trump more power. We have six authoritarians on the Supreme Court, so we can expect more unchecked authoritarianism.
We note that two of the three Trump appointees voted with the majority -Barrett and Gorsuch. Flip Wilson always said 'the Devil made me do it' and the Supreme Leader always says 'It is all Biden's fault'.
The decision relative to tariffs rightfully rests with Congress. The body controlling the purse strings. If the Doddering Imbecile Trump would have placed it in the hands of the representatives of the People and it passed the hurdles of debate and rational thought perhaps the scotus would have ruled differently were there challenges.
Tariffs are simply a tax on American consumers because businesses, only interested in profits, simply pass on the increased costs to the consumer of goods.
The Imbecile Trump must have bought whatever degree or certificate he received at Wharton School of Business.
Off topic but it really is time to pass 12 year term limits on Justices of the Supreme Court.
Trump will simple keep pushing the envelope. In his floating boat of ignorance he is unable to accept ANY defeat.
BB-Idaho, Dave Dubya, Les, I just read former editor of the Chicago Tribune, Mark Jacob’s, report tha Trump said in his statement about the SCOTUS’s decision, that the justices’ FAMILIES should be ashamed! What do the FAMILIES of the justices who ruled against his tariffs have to do with this? He sounds like he’s threatening them,just like a mob boss.
