Joe Scarborough Calls Out "Stupid" Republicans

UPDATE BELOW

In an angry outburst, former GOP Representative, Joe Scarborough, let loose a barrage of scathing attacks on the stupidity of GOP senators who plan to hold America hostage and shut down the government unless Congress defunds the ACA.

The extremist TeaPublicans planning this sabotage are Senators Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and Marco Rubio.  Like petulant little narcissists, they intend to disrupt the entire country if they don't get their way.  Even if their goal is totally unattainable.  And stupid.

Read what Scarborough had to say about these dunderheads:

"Scarborough described right-wing efforts as a 'spectacle' and a 'side show,' saying, 'it is never going to have the desired effect.'

Repeating the word 'stupid' multiple times, Scarborough said a threatened shutdown could have disastrous effects for the GOP. "When do you realize that your stupidity is getting in the way of conservatives winning national elections? Do you want to keep losing? You have lost the popular vote five out of six times in presidential races.

'Do you really want Hillary Clinton to be the next president for the next eight years? Are you really that stupid? Are you really that dumb? Are you really in that much need of being angry and resentful that you just stop caring about winning elections?

'If so, you are not a Republican," Scarborough said. "You are not a conservative. You're a nihilist and you have no place in our party. Take your stupid act somewhere else, because I, for one, am tired of losing and having stupid people like you defining my party.'

Calling the Republican infighting 'the best thing that can happen for the Democrats,' Scarborough praised moderate Republicans such as Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn and North Carolina Sen. Richard Burr, who are resisting efforts to defund the healthcare-reform law.

'This shutdown show budding on the Senate side is causing real problems with the most conservative members of our representatives, who know Harry Reid is not going to let it defund.' "

Didn't Governor Jindal of Louisiana tell the GOP to stop being the Stupid Party?

It appears some members of the GOP are too stupid to see what's in front of their noses.

UPDATE:

More stupidity from GOPers:

"Former Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC), whom you might remember dropping out of politics in April to go into…a more lucrative, seven figure form of politics with the Heritage Foundation, told Newsmax TV yesterday that the GOP should be willing to destroy America if that is what it takes to get rid of medical care for the American people.

Interestingly, DeMint says Obamacare is more damaging to America “than anything I’ve seen pass in my lifetime.”

Obamacare apparently being more damaging than a Republican destruction of America itself.

So what he is saying is that the GOP must be willing to do more damage to America than the most damaging thing they’ve seen so far, in order to stop the second-most damaging thing done to America."

Yes, he did once take a few moments away from pushing creationism in the schools to say that.

.....who know Harry Reid is not going to let it defund.

They act like they can't see even a couple of moves ahead. The outcome of another government shut-down would be that (a) the public would get even more exasperated with the Republicans, and (b) Obamacare would not be defunded. It's a clear loser for their side. The only way it makes sense is if they care more about currying favor with the most nihilistic teabaggers than about what's best even for their own party, never mind for the country.

If you want to read more stupidity, go to the numbskull conservative's blog, the one who writes about dogs and read the idiocy she supports and wallows in with the other morons who comment there.

"Stupid is as stupid does." And her crowd can't get any more stupid.

Well...maybe they can...anything's possible with the TeaPublicans.

Bwahahahahaha!

Sorry, N.A.C. I don't go to blogs that encourage pornographers. Lisa enjoys pornography and racist filth about the FLOTUS.

Let her "wallow" in it with her conservative buds. Who would want to contaminate themselves there?

Indeed stupid is as stupid does.

But then again stupid is quite often a subjective determination made by partisans (in the political sphere) merely because the other partisan side disagrees with them. Dies not necessarily mean they are indeed stupid.

perhaps ill informed is a more appropriate description?

Not my first choice but certainly far superior to what the clown car is likely to offer.

They are so far gone they can't see the center with a telescope.

No. In this case "stupid" works perfectly well.

In case you didn't notice J.S., the person accusing the GOPers of stupidity is a GOPer himself, so there's no "partisanship" going on. What's going on is Joe Scarborough is telling the cretins in his party that shutting down the government unless they get their way in defunding Obamacare IS STUPID.

And he's correct.

Sometime a stupid person is just a stupid person.

It's interesting how partisans come here and try to turn a clear example of stupidity into a partisan issue.

In this case, you missed the point.

No. TSoT,

Your attempt to make this "partisan" is just as misplaced as J.S.'s attempt.

You entirely missed the fact that Joe Scarborough, a GOPer, is the one calling his fellow GOPers "stupid."

You call yourself "The Sword of Truth," but I'm thinking it should be "The Sword of PARTISAN Truth," since that is more in keeping with your comments here.

Everything is NOT equally partisan, and your and Just Saying's attempt to make it so fails.

Ye gods! So many stupid GOPers! It's difficult to decide who gets the top prize.

Who the hell are the people attracted to this political party? And why?

The Sword of Truth said...

No. Not at all. What is remarkable is the idea that my statement makes me partisan. It does not. I do not like either the republican or democratic party in full. Neither do I dislike them both in full.

How pray tell is that paryisan?

Ducky: In 2015 and 2016, the clown car on the Left will disgorge lots of surprises, I am sure. No worries about that.

skudrunner said...

Left alone the GOP will implode under their own weight.

They are not even looking for a leader of the party. On one hand they want less government and then stand up against gay marriage and abortion.

The difference between Republican and Democrat politicians is the spelling. At least the democrats tell the people what they want to hear then do what they want to do. The republicans have yet to figure that out.

TSoT: "How pray tell is that paryisan?"

The attempt by you and others [who are on the right, BTW] to make everything stupid the right does into a "the left is stupid, too" issue IS partisanship, IMO.

It's just not true. The left was anti-Bush and in time became very much anti-Iraq War, to be sure, but never, never, never, did it obstruct the US Congress when Bush needed it to sustain his two wars. Neither did it obstruct him in his Medicare Part D. The Democrats actually worked with Bush on many of his initiatives.

The GOP has been obstinate and obstructive and even intransigent on everything President Obama has proposed in dealing with the economy, the health care issue, and even his federal judge appointments--over 70, I believe, which are still unfilled for no reason other than sheer obstruction.

This is unprecedented.

So I have little patience for those who hawk the idea that the Democrats are just as bad.

Recent history shows that to be not true.

Shaw Kenawe said...

No, dmarks. The Democrats do NOT have a clown car.

You won't get away with that effort to make them into the crazies that the GOP has become.

There is no presidential candidate who comes close to the idiocy of Michele "the vaccine made her retarded" Bachmann, or Herman "nine, nine, nine" Cain and his cadre of inamoratas. Or Newt "I Had Three Wives" Gingrich.

Not even close.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skudrunner: "At least the democrats tell the people what they want to hear then do what they want to do."

You mean like supporting equality in marriage? And supporting the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Act--you know, the one that GOP hero, Ronald Reagan called 'INSULTING TO THE SOUTH?"

You mean like supporting the Dream Act?

There's a reason fewer and fewer people are attracted to the GOP: they appeal to a narrow segment of this country. They are NOT inclusive, and they don't like 47% of the American people.

The Sword of Truth said...

Thank you for interpreting my comment incorrectly and then using the last one sentence line in a feeble attempt to justify democratic partisanship.

The extreme wackdo right is exactly that, wacky.

Shaw said: "No, dmarks. The Democrats do NOT have a clown car."

Not yet, anyway. I was referring to the future campaign. Hillary and Joe won't be the only ones running. Joe Biden is going to clown it up a lot if he does run.
