We Interrupt This Blogpost to Bring You Something Beautiful

Five years ago this past June, my older sister passed away.

Saturday, August 2, her first-born grandchild, Sasha, was married, and Sasha, bless her, chose my sister's birthday as her wedding day.

Here is a photo of the beautiful bride, Sasha, and her maid-of -honor sister, Talia, who was featured on this blog last year.

There is so much beauty in this world.  We must always interrupt anything to share it.

Here they are, my nieces, Talia and Sasha:

I'm wife!
I've finished that ––
___ that other state ––
I'm Czar.
I'm Woman now.
___ 'Tis safer so.

How odd the girl's life looks
____ from behind this soft eclipse!
I think Earth must seem so
____ to those in Heaven now.

This being comfort then ––
___ that other kind was pain ––

But why compare?
I'm wife! -- Stop there!

With all good wishes to Sasha and her groom for a future blest by fulfillment and contentment.

Beautiful.
And quite kind, too, as that was a lovely tribute.
Best wishes to her, and congratulations to her groom.

May they prosper.

You seem to be in a real groove lately, Shaw.

Yeah, Ducky. Spending the better part of a week with writers who put their work first, but who also were simpatico with liberal politics was refreshing.

I was in Vermont, after all.

I'm excited about the possibilities of getting the work in order and published. Lots of good contacts and so many fine, talented writers whose advice I eagerly listened to.
