Coast Guard officer allegedly wanted to conduct a mass killing, had political and media hit list
(CNN)A Coast Guard lieutenant arrested last Friday on gun and drug charges allegedly wanted to conduct a mass killing. Christopher Paul Hasson, 49, of Silver Spring, Maryland, is alleged to be a white supremacist who had a hit list that included prominent Democratic politicians as well as several journalists from CNN and MSNBC.
Hasson's case was first circulated by counterterrorism expert Seamus Hughes and the George Washington Program on Extremism. Hasson's hit list includes Democratic politicians -- Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, of New York, Sens. Chuck Schumer, of New York, Cory Booker, of New Jersey, Richard Blumenthal, of Connecticut and Kamala Harris, of California and former Rep. Beto O'Rourke, of Texas -- as well as CNN journalists Don Lemon, Chris Cuomo and Van Jones and MSNBC's Chris Hayes, Ari Melber and Joe Scarborough.
Court documents say Hasson espoused extremist and white supremacist views and allege that he relied on the manifesto of Anders Breivik, a Norwegian who was convicted in 2011 of two terror attacks that killed 77 people.
The government says Hasson also stockpiled steroids and human growth hormone "to increase his ability to conduct attacks," consistent with the directions in Breivik's manifesto. "The defendant is a domestic terrorist, bent on committing acts dangerous to human life that are intended to affect governmental conduct," prosecutors wrote.
Donald Trump is directly responsible for this.
His calling American journalists and media "enemies of the people" is directly responsible for influencing weak-minded, violent white supremacists to seek revenge on Trump's "enemies" in the media.
Trump's supporters, IMO, are responsible as well, since they continue to be proud of and encourage a tyrant who encourages assassins to carry out his vendetta against Americans' First Amendment rights.
Every American president has been at odds with the American media that covered him (remember Nixon?) But NO AMERICAN PRESIDENT has ever called the media "enemies of the people."

Did you notice how easy they are making it for Jussie. Contrast that with the treatment of elderly Roger Stone whose arrest in the pre-dawn hours at his home in Florida was done with 24 FBI agents in full armor gear, and Helicopters, etc. In Jussie's case, they had him surrender himself.. Imagine if Jussie were a Trump supporter instead of a creep, little lying Trump hater!

The Washington Establishment is having a bad week. First, Andrew McCabe has a new book out and is so desperate to peddle it that he is telling the truth: there was a conspiracy to push the Cabinet to overthrow President Trump.
It did not go past the talking stage, but he is showing fair-minded Americans what they have long suspected: the system is rigged against The Donald.
Second, along the same lines, Bungling Bob Mueller is about to admit what we knew along: he´s got nothing.
They believe Mueller spent two years investigating the Trump Crime Syndicate and will come up with nothing? Any idiot can look up Google and find out Mueller's record on putting away crooks, but I said "any idiot." TrumpCultists think #45's behavior is normal while the rest of humanity sees him as an abberration in America's political life. So it is no wonder that they don't see how normal Americans like McCabe would have suspicions about a crook like Trump who embraced Putin and other Russian oligarchs and then tried to obstruct justice during the investigation into his alleged criminal acts. They keep telling themselves that the investigation is nothing and a hoax. They forget who Robert Mueller is and what he's accomplished in his illustrious career hunting down criminals and cheats.
We'll see what we shall see.

The Smollet kerfluffle is a way for Trumpers to distract themselves from the mountains of scandal surrounding #45 presidency. I've lost count of federal investigations into him and his family and friends!
There is no comparison between Smollet's patheticly stupid scheme to get a pay raise and Roger Stone's ALLEGED collusion with Wikileaks and others to help get #45 elected.
