State Department Report On Email Vindicates Clinton Rather Than Nails Her

From Forbes Magazine:

The report released Wednesday by the State Department Inspector General on its email records management is being reported as heavy-duty criticism of former Secretary Hillary Clinton.

However, the report has more in it that vindicates Clinton than nails her.

It does not add any new serious charges or adverse facts.

And, it shows she was less out of line with her predecessors, notably Colin Powell, than has been charged. Powell’s handling of his email was so similar, in fact, that when House Republicans drag this issue through hearings up to Election Day, Powell should be called as a witness – a witness for Clinton.

To put it differently, she is having a double standard applied to her.

Here are five key aspects of the report.

The five key aspects HERE.

I guess in this case two wrongs make a right. I guess when your children stole something and when confronted they said she did it to.
Lets not hold our politically corrupt accountable for anything and just say they did the right thing because someone before them did the same thing.

No one's excusing Hillary here. She used poor judgement, as did the other SoSes. The State Department should have been very, very clear on email issues.

The point is that human beings will do wrong things, stupid things. If this is a reflection on Hillary's judgement and the reason she should NOT be POTUS, then so be it. But at least we know her weaknesses. Who knew that the presidents I named in the "Heads Exploding" comment section below would have made the horrible mistakes in judgement that they made?

Violating policy is not stealing. In fact, it is not criminal at all. skud, your analogy is false.

I'm not sure I can give Hillary a total pass on the e-mail thing. But then, when it comes to technology, there are Amish folks who are way more literate. That said, even if she did some things that were, let's say undesirable, the total idiocy of Trump is in a league no one can play in.

Now that we have your biased version I'll go over to Daddy blog and get their biased version, then I'll agree with Hillary who admitted she made a mistake. Her idea of a mistake might be a bigger issue than a mistake for the FBI. No charges yet doesn't mean their won't be.

skud is his usual inane self. Shaw didn't say HRC should be excused. But then skud the troll never gets anything right. He just trolls anything Shaw posts.

Anon: "I'll go over to Daddy blog and get their biased version..."

LOL!

The Daddy blog posts pornography, racism, anti-Semitism and misogyny. It's a veritable swamp of filth.

Their version?

You'd be better informed reading what a group of baboons on crystal meth would manage to write using a Chinese keyboard.

Jerry I believe skud is depressed because the party he once belonged to -- the TGOP -- is now supporting a consummate assh*le, and that would make anyone lash out and make inane comparisons.

Kevin,

No one here is giving Hillary a complete pass, but at the same time I refuse to pile on all out of proportion like the rabid right does. Remember they thought they'd drag her down with BENGHAZI! That didn't work, so they're like a dog on a bone with the email controversy.

I love the way she drives them batty.

And it's really quite amusing to hear The Trumper bray about "crooked" Hillary. Wait until the stuff comes out on Trump. We already know that more than one woman has accused him of rape, but Trump keeps bringing up Bill Clinton and his questionable behavior with women.

Let's find out why Trump's hiding his tax returns.

JC, I never said she did anything criminal. Intentionally lying to the American public is not criminal just shows character.
Ms Shaw, I never said I support trump. I am all about the bern. Since I have to work for a living and he has said the gooberment will provide I am all over that. Let those successful rich folk, like JC, pay my way.

The State department itself said Clinton broke State department rules federal law). For you to say this report vindicates Clinton is simply not true.
