These are the most important political headlines that are rarely seen this election season.
Those are the words corporate media dread to print and utter. This is why we're in this mess.
Despite all the pearl-clutching and obsessive media fixation on Biden's age and so-called "weakness" (Because he didn't speak as loudly as Trump in the debate) the latest NPR poll shows BIDEN 2 points above Trump.
Kamala Harris is one point up on Trump.
Governor Newsome is 2 points up.
Governor Whitmer who is less well known around the country is even with Trump.

I think Meghan Trainor summed up pretty well the words of Trump as they relate to most things, in today's case, Project 2025...

Here are his words just a few days ago expressed in a tweet...
"I know nothing about Project 2025. I have no idea who is behind it."
Fair enough. He says he knows nothing about it, nor anyone who's behind it. However, in the same tweet, he continues...
"I disagree with some of the things they're saying and some of the things they're saying are absolutely ridiculous and abysmal."
How can he disagree with, and think something he knows nothing about is "absolutely ridiculous and abysmal"?
Was he lying in his tweet? Or just mistaken? Because simultaneously, he asserted two contradictory positions. He either knows nothing, as he asserted, or he disagrees with what they [The Project 2025 group] are asserting.
It cannot be both.
Judge for yourself. But you should also know that over 200 former members of the Trump Admin are part of Project 2025. It is inconceivable that not a one of them has shared any of the particulars of the project with him, or that has not had a role in crafting it.
In my opinion, he knows plenty, is supportive and plans to move forward with much of the agenda of Project 2025.

This crook knows more than 2025. He is the originator of all sorts of garbage. He was the head of the birther movement (sick). It will take decades to get MAGA thinking out of our government. It would help if Trump went to jail or died.
Dave, those are national poll numbers and mostly worthless.
Look, here's the deal. What matters are battle ground purple states. And right now those states are PA, MI and WI.
If Biden loses one of those, the race is over. Because he's losing GA, AZ, & NV, all former "battle ground states". Now there's a caveat. Even if he wins those states and everything else goes to form, we've got a problem. There is one lone elector in Nebraska that pledges to the candidate winning Omaha. That'll be the Dems, which will give Biden 271 to 267 for Trump.
However the Nebraska GOP is moving to change that after a Dem switched sides and gave the NE GOP a veto proof majority. So if they move, and Trump is calling on them to go winner take all, he wins.
If, again, everything stays to form.
But here's the problem. Trump is killing Biden in individual states. Right now he's up in WI, moving ahead in Virginia and Minnesota and the DNC is worried about... New York.
Any one of those states, wins the election for Trump.
What this means is that money Biden planned to expand the map, must now be used to play defense in previously safe states.
And his ability to fundraise is drying up because he is a perceived loser.
It is not looking good. The Dems and Biden have two weeks before their delegates must decide in a nationwide pre convention Zoom call.
Now we wait.
Polls are but indicators. And right now every Democrat running for office should be running like they're10% behind and ignore the polls.
Especially the race for POTUS.
Trump much prefers keeping it a pissing contest, avoiding his record and skirting around issues while lying through his teeth.
On October 14, 2020, in violation of the Hatch Act, President Trump gave a campaign speech at the White House in which he said...
"The policies of the left [if Biden is elected] will unleash a long lasting economic catastrophe of unimaginable proportions... our country will go into a depression, the likes of which we have not seen since 1929, and maybe worse."
Fox News, no friend of progressives, has been all over the economic story of how the strong US economy, based on the polices of the left, is the best economy in the world, citing many of the same numbers I did in a previous post.
Donald Trump, the man who was totally wrong on his prediction back in 2020 and is wrong now as he says our economy is the worst in history, is the man conservatives want once again to be president. I assume to MOAGEGA... to "Make Our Already Great Economy Great Again."
Comparing our economy with the economies of other developed countries, here's the percentages we see of real wage growth over inflation... Canada has +.2 increase, France -.5, Japan -1.6, the UK -2.2, Germany -7.2 and Italy -9.1.
Every country except Canada currently has wages behind inflation, some significantly in a 4 year period ending in 2023.
The US? Plus 2.8%
The policies of Project 2025, which Trump supports and his aides helped write, will raise taxes on a couple making 100K annually who have two kids, between $2,500-$6,500 a year. Those same policies for the same family making 5 million a year will bring a reduction in taxes of almost 325K.
Trump and the Project 2025 folks know nothing about economics as it relates to average ppl. Based on their plans and past statements about the economy, they have no interest in helping the average guy like me and Skud and instead, want to once again put more $$$ in the pockets of their rich benefactors, all the while starving the federal government of the money it needs to properly function.
Then they will lambaste the inefficiency of that starving government to demand more cuts, leading to the end of a litany of entitlement programs that have made the US the envy of the industrialized world.
All in the name of self reliant freedoms.
And the Mothership Sailors, all rich on the Biden increases in their 401k's will cheer them on.
Project 2025... screwing Americans one sucker at a time!

I play politics based on the behavior of my opponents. The convicted felon, held accountable for sexual assault, and former president Mr. Trump lies as he breathes. If I were a defender of Democracy I'd also lie to the pollsters, all of them. Politics is not a reality game show for entertainment purposes. The decisions made affect lives but waves of change never seem to touch some lucky souls so they've no clue as to the stakes here/now.
Purity tests have already started. It will be interesting to see who remains standing after the dust clears.
