Les, I am not certain it is self inflicted suffering. It is politician inflicted suffering by not passing a CR so the government can remain open while our elected elite hash it out. The schumer shutdown is hurting the people he says he supports. This is not about the democrat billionaire class but about the middle class which the left has tried to destroy for years.
