Sanders, Trump NH Primary Winners

Feel The Bern!

Hillary says the primary contests are just beginning. She may be correct. There's a long way to go.

Interesting poll on the Trump voters, though:

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump fared particularly well with the high school graduates or less crowd whereas Governor Kasich (R-OH) did well with the post grads, according to exit polling.

Part of the Trumper's speech:
“We’re going to build a wall. It’s going to be built. It’s not even, it’s not even a difficult thing to do.” He also said he would be “the greatest jobs president that God ever created.”

Ohio Governor John Kasich takes second, Cruz third.

Good showing for Kasich, the only non-crazy conservative in the clown car.

Congrats to him!

Here's how the TeaPublicans Are Stopping People From Voting

This is a true account from a friend of a friend in North Carolina:

What's on my mind: today, my mother-in-law showed up at the NC DMV to get a photo ID card. She had a Social Security card. She had her birth certificate. She had her NH drivers license. All documents cited as needed as proof of identification. According to the state board of elections, only two of these documents are needed.

Her son, my husband, drove her; she no longer drives. Drove her, so she can get her photo ID, so she can VOTE. (Here they are, holding her voter registration application.)

She was DENIED.

DENIED on the grounds that she did not have a MARRIAGE LICENSE showing proof of her change of middle name.

She didn't have "PROOF" that she changed her MIDDLE NAME when she got MARRIED. ARE. YOU. KIDDING. ME.

NC brothers and sisters: GET BUSY GETTING READY TO VOTE. Do NOT put it off. BECAUSE: our state may not make it easy for you to exercise one of your most fundamental civil rights.

If you're not sure about your registration status, get sure. If you don't have a current photo id, get one. If you know somebody who may not be ready, like your sweet old mother in law, or a neighbor: ask them. Help them. I'll keep you posted about how my complaint to the state goes.

And there you have it nation. The TeaPublicans of North Carolina stopping sweet little ole ladies from voting because she didn't have proof of changing HER MIDDLE NAME WHEN SHE GOT MARRIED. This is how the Jim Crow laws stopped African-Americans from voting by a thousand little cuts : By requiring that they own property, by using literacy tests or testing if they could count or anything else the weasels could come up with to deny Americans from voting.

And in the 21st century they're still at it.

This is your modern TeaPublican Party, trying to keep honest Americans from voting because they may vote for the Democratic Party.

This elderly woman was denied because she didn't have proof that she changed her middle name.

Donald the Vulgar

A float in a parade in Germany during Carnivale mocking Trump

When you can't dazzle your adoring supporters with any depth of knowledge of the issues, you can do what Donald Trump does so well:  He tells everyone how rich and great he is, or he uses the language of a sexually frustrated teenage boy to attack his opponents.

When you can't come up with a reason for breaking international and U.S. law by bringing back waterboarding, you can attack your opponent by calling him a pussy.

Classy, innit?

If you're 12 years old and trying to impress a roomful of 10 year olds who'll howl approval at every vulgarity you can throw at them, you descend into crudeness and coarseness to keep them stomping their little hooves and hooting like hyenas at you and your perversity. IOW, you're just Donald the Creep being even creepier and more disgusting than you've ever been by dragging yourself and your supporters through slime and sewage.

And they eat it up and love him for it.

A Trump supporter called Cruz a "pussy" for not supporting waterboarding, and Trump repeated the word from the podium.

Jenna Johnson reported from the front runner's rally in Manchester that the crowd of thousands roared with approval.

Trump Shocks in Final New Hampshire Rally

MANCHESTER, N.H. — There are some things you never think you'll hear a presidential candidate say — even Donald Trump.

But, on Monday night, Trump became the first presidential candidate in recent memory to use an epithet for female anatomy to describe a Republican rival on stage at a rally — and he later said it was a "great moment."

Speaking to about 5,000 people at Manchester's Verizon Center on the eve of the New Hampshire primary, Trump railed against opponents who speak out against his tone. Specifically on waterboarding, Trump contrasted his recent statements on bringing back waterboarding to those of Sen. Ted Cruz.

"You know he's concerned about the answer because well, some people," Trump said, pointing to a woman in the crowd, "she just said a terrible thing. You know what she said? Shout it out 'cause I don't wanna." Then he said it anyway: "She said, 'He's a p---y.'"

"Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot in behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as the Donald himself." --The National Review

February is Black History Month: NASA Mathematician, Katherine Johnson

A White man may have been the first to walk on the moon but, Katherine Johnson, a Black mathematician, got him there.

A math genius, Johnson entered West Virginia State University, a Historically Black College, at age 15. While there, professors at the campus competed to have the brilliant young woman in their classes. Dr. William W. Schiefflin Claytor, who earned his Bachelors and Masters in Mathematics at Howard University, told the bright young woman that she would make a great Research Mathematician, and set about teaching her all that he knew. She took every Math class that the university offered, and her young professor and mentor even created an Analytic Geometry class, specifically for her, that she alone took. It all paid off. She arrived at National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, the predecessor to NASA, after the organization had begun looking for women to work as "computers."

At this time, electronic computing was still in its early stages and human minds were still called on to verify the accuracy of the computations. Given that this was still a time of segregation, Johnson worked in the division that was made up entirely of Black woman mathematicians whose supervisor was also a Black woman. Unlike their White counterparts, they all had college degrees. It was common for the women to do the computations while the men worked on the engineering side, learned about the space program and went to special briefings.

Johnson wanted to know what was happening with the burgeoning space program and asked to attend one of the briefings. She was told that women did not go, but inquired whether this was based on a law. It was not, and so she was given permission to go. She stood out in briefings, because of her insightful questioning and accurate work, and while doing research for the program, they came to rely upon her mathematical authority.

When it was time for the first flight into space to happen, it was her computations that made it possible. She did all this while being a young wife and a mother, but she balanced it all. She simply was doing the work that intrigued and motivated her. She remains an inspiration to many at the age of 96. ‪

Marco Rubio Wants You To Know EXACTLY What Barack Obama Is Doing To This Country...

so he tells you FIVE TIMES in one debate.

Because nothing says you know what you're talking about more than repeating yourself on the same talking point FIVE TIMES.  BTW, that's FIVE TIMES Marco said the same thing. FIVE TIMES.

It's hard to believe, but true. He said the same damn thing FIVE TIMES!

It was like a deja vu Ground Hog Day all over again.

And it made Marco "Barack Obama Knows Exactly What He's Doing To This Country" Rubio looked like a rank amateur.

Not so dynamic now, is he.

Christie ate him for his mid-evening snack.

And there's this:

Rubio also believes that God's rules supersede our secular laws -- the laws set down by the Constitution. How do people who support Rubio square that? What makes him different, say, from the religious prelates in Muslim countries that promote Allah's laws above all else? Why do TeaPublicans tolerate this nonsense? We are a secular country. Our laws are not based on the Bible.

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder: Let Us Eat Cake, Baby!

UPDATE BELOW

An entire American city in Republican Governor Rick Snyder's state has been drinking poisoned water for two years, but that didn't stop Snyder from throwing his wife a lavish birthday party in one of Ann Arbor's swankiest restaurants. That's tasteless enough, considering the suffering and pain the citizens of Flint have been going through these past months, but the icing on this crass story is the cake Governor Snyder surprised Michigan's First Lady with:

This is all cake and all edible:

It took the cake designer, Heather Anne Leavitt, 30 hours to make the cake, which represents all that is important to a swell like the First Lady of Michigan:  Tiffany's, Nordstrom's, Chanel, and a Michael Kors handbag. Oh, with a gaudy necklace thrown in to finish off this example of vulgar exhibitionism that would put Marie Antoinette to shame.

Let's see, 30 hours for a custom designer cake to feed 60 people?  Probably close to $1,000.00, considering the craftsmanship and work that was put into it.

Nothing says more about a person than a cake decorated to show what's meaningful in her life.

"[W]E...bet that there isn’t so much as a single part per billion of lead in that frosting. Clearly, a lot of planning went into that cake, and lord only knows the rest of the party was almost certainly as beautiful. As Mark Maynard says, a birthday party and a cake are nice things. But the timing might be a little off:

"Had I been in a similar situation, though, I’m relatively certain that I would have forgone a party, asking friends instead to give money to the Flint Child Health and Development Fund. “You know what,” I’d probably say, “as much as I love my wife, I just don’t think that we should be getting drunk and dancing around a big, creamy-frosting-filled Nordstrom’s box right now.” But, then again, I have a little bit of my soul left. And, perhaps more importantly, I’m not so delusional as to think that something like this wouldn’t get out."

Children and adults in Flint poisoned and suffering because of stupid decisions to save money? Meh! says Governor Snyder.

The cake is not a lie!

UPDATE:

The great state of Michigan's legislature and its flamboyant governor, (who generously feted his wife on her birthday with an extravagant birthday cake costing hundreds of dollars) have now done some really important busy work which includes sticking its collective nose into people's naughty parts.  Attending to crucial human needs (no, it has nothing to do with poisoned water in Flint), the state legislature has made Michigan safer by passing a law that prohibits Michiganers from getting B.J.s and criminalizing homosexual activity.

Good going Michigan!  You're keeping your citizens safe for Jesus while you poison them!

The Michigan Senate has passed a bill that effectively reaffirms the state's unconstitutional law making sodomy a felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

Michigan is one of more than a dozen states that still have sodomy bans on the books, despite the U.S. Supreme Court's 2003 ruling in Lawrence v. Texas declaring them unconstitutional. Some states' sodomy laws specifically target gay relations, but Michigan's is among those that make oral and anal sex crimes illegal regardless of whether they're same-sex or different-sex.

Michigan is also one of several states with a sodomy ban that's intertwined with a prohibition on bestiality – effectively equating the two. The law makes it a felony for anyone to commit "the abominable and detestable crime against nature with mankind or with any animal."  If the person is already a sex offender, violations are punishable by life in prison.

For the last several years, Michigan legislators have been trying to pass an important package of bills referred to as Logan's Law, designed to keep pets out of the hands of animal abusers, according to The Detroit Free Press.

Among the bills in the Logan's Law package — named for a Siberian husky who died tragically after acid was intentionally poured on him — is Senate Bill 219, by GOP Sen. Rick Jones. In addition to barring convicted animal abusers from owning pets for five years, SB 219 would update language in the state's ban on bestiality and sodomy

President Obama's Speech at the Mosque

President Obama's speech at an American mosque (the first of his presidency) set the pious haters on the right chattering and bleating.

"Why did he go to a mosque," they asked, pretending not to know what the affect Donald Trump's ugly rhetoric against Muslims has had on this country. They even question Mr. Obama's Christian faith -- asserting that the president is not a Christian but a secret Muslim.  This is the logical end to the pious haters' (or as I call them, the Hallelujah Hypocrites) long march to delegitimize Mr. Obama as an American and as a Christian.  These are the same pious haters who rode the birther bandwagon for as long as they could to damage President Obama as much as they could.

President Obama’s Brilliant Religious Freedom Speech Lost On Religious Republicans

At the Islamic Society of Baltimore, the President spoke directly to “his fellow Christians” because although impressing on Muslim Americans that they have the same freedom of religion as Christians, only the Christian right attacks Muslims.

All the while, they cling to their bible and Constitution to justify their deep-seated evangelical bigotry toward faiths other than Americanized Christianity.

The President said, “If we’re serious about freedom of religion — and I’m speaking now to my fellow Christians who remain the majority in this country — we have to understand an attack on one faith is an attack on all our faiths. And when any religious group is targeted, we all have a responsibility to speak up. And we have to reject a politics that seeks to manipulate prejudice or bias, and targets people because of religion.”

President Obama was talking to more than just “his fellow Christians.” He was talking to Republicans in Congress, state legislatures and the current crop of GOP presidential aspirants; all of whom embrace politics that incite bias against and target Muslims for political expediency. At least the President echoed...that Americans have to start speaking up against religious bigotry or watch the nation become a Christian iteration of the Islamic State. Even though he framed it in different terms; “We can’t be bystanders to bigotry. Together, we’ve got to show that America truly protects all faiths.”

But the pious haters will have none of it. They claim President Obama is not a Christian, so how can he speak to them?  They want to throw every Muslim out of this country, including Americans who practice the Muslim faith.  Many of these pious haters support Ted Cruz, whose father is a Christian Dominionist, and who himself uses his faith to cull as many votes from the Christian right as he can.

“U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz — whose father is Rafael Cruz, a rabid right-wing Christian preacher and the director of the Purifying Fire International ministry — and legions of the senator’s wealthy supporters...are rooted in a radical Christian ideology known as Dominionism or Christian Reconstructionism. This ideology calls on anointed “Christian” leaders to take over the state and make the goals and laws of the nation “biblical.”

It seeks to reduce government to organizing little more than defense, internal security and the protection of property rights. It fuses with the Christian religion the iconography and language of American imperialism and nationalism, along with the cruelest aspects of corporate capitalism.

[skip]

This ideology,...calls for the eradication of social “deviants,” beginning with gay men and lesbians, whose sexual orientation, those in the movement say, is a curse and an illness, contaminating the American family and the country.

Once these “deviants” are removed, other “deviants,” including Muslims, liberals, feminists, intellectuals, left-wing activists, undocumented workers, poor African-Americans and those dismissed as “nominal Christians” — meaning Christians who do not embrace this peculiar interpretation of the Bible — will also be ruthlessly repressed.

The “deviant” government bureaucrats, the “deviant” media, the “deviant” schools and the “deviant” churches, all agents of Satan, will be crushed or radically reformed. The rights of these “deviants” will be annulled.

“Christian values” and “family values” will, in the new state, be propagated by all institutions. Education and social welfare will be handed over to the church. Facts and self-criticism will be replaced with relentless indoctrination.”

[skip]

The intellectual and moral hollowness of the ideology, its flagrant distortion and misuse of the Bible, the contradictions that abound within it — its leaders champion small government and a large military, as if the military is not part of government — and its laughable pseudo-science are impervious to reason and fact.

And that is why the movement is dangerous."

And Senator Ted Cruz is part of that movement.

Wednesday is Trump Hump Day

Waaaa! Waaaa! Waaaa!  It's Megyn Kelly's Fault!, No it's the MSM's fault, no it's Cruz's fault, no it's...

The day after the Iowa caucuses, Donald the Petulant, blamed the media and all the other meanies for his loss. Remember he predicted he'd win because he's great and he has the best team and he's great!

His love affair with himself didn't bring the victory in Iowa he bragged about, so Donald the Petulant did what every bully does, he blamed other people.

He's still ahead by quite a bit in New Hampshire.  The old saying is "Iowa picks corn; New Hampshire picks presidents" is clever but remember that in 2000, New Hampshire picked John McCain.

IMO, neither Iowa nor New Hampshire represent the greater U.S. population. That's why the two popularity contests don't tell us much.

Here's how the T-GOP handled himself in his first defeat:

The billionaire, who has never before complained about the money he’s been spending, griped about his unexpected defeat to Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in the caucuses.

“I don’t believe I have been given any credit by the voters for self-funding my campaign, the only one. I will keep doing, but not worth it!”

Trump moaned on Twitter Tuesday morning. He also blamed his favorite scapegoat — the media — for “unfair treatment” and failing to praise his “long-shot great finish.”

“The media has not covered my long-shot great finish in Iowa fairly.

He added later, “I will be talking about my wonderful experience in Iowa and the simultaneous unfair treatment by the media later in New Hampshire. Big crowd.”

The Trumper demonstrates to all what a statesman he'd be if he were to be elected president

Later, a fired-up Trump cursed at a rally in Milford, NH. “If we are attacked, somebody attacks us, wouldn’t you rather have Trump as president if we’re attacked?” he said at a rally in Milford, N.H. “We’ll beat the s–t out of them!”

Milford, New Hampshire (CNN)

Donald Trump on Tuesday said his decision to skip the last Republican debate before the Iowa caucuses may have led to his second-place finish in the Hawkeye State.

"That could've been with the debate," Trump acknowledged to reporters in Milford, New Hampshire, where he was introduced and endorsed by former Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown.

"I think some people were disappointed that I didn't go into the debate." Iowa entrance polls showed most voters who made up their minds in the final days before the caucuses settled on chief rival Sen. Ted Cruz and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, not Trump.

The nationwide GOP front-runner had skipped Thursday's Fox News debate due to an ongoing feud with the network.

Still, Trump said he would make the same decision again, pointing to the $6 million he raised for veterans' charities.

About those veterans' charities:

At the kickoff of Trump's rally Thursday, the billionaire businessman said he had raised nearly $6 million, including $500,000 through its website in one day.

The website claims that "100% of your donations will go directly to Veterans needs," but donations are funneled through the Donald J. Trump Foundation, the nonprofit arm of the Trump Organization.

The page does not list the names of any veterans' organizations poised to receive the funds and the Trump campaign did not respond to multiple requests asking which veterans organizations would participate in the event or receive fundraising proceeds.

[skip]

"The money that's going to be raised will be in bulk and the disbursements will be spread all across the country to veterans organizations. And those who don't want to receive the money, we'll make sure not to send them a check," Pierson told Sciutto Thursday on CNN.

All six major veterans' organizations CNN said they had not been contacted by Trump representatives offering a piece of the proceeds raised -- those groups include: American Legion, the Wounded Warrior Project, Paralyzed Veterans of America, Veterans of Foreign Wars, AmVets and Fisher House.

CNN also reached five of the nine veterans' organizations the Trump Foundation has donated to between 2010 and 2014, Fisher House, the Green Beret Foundation, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Heroes to Heroes and K9s for Warriors.

Only the latter, a group that provides service dogs to veterans dealing with post-traumatic stress, said it was contacted by Trump associates regarding the fundraising.

IOWA RESULTS: The Trumper Loses to Cruz, Hillary Squeaks by Bernie

UPDATE BELOW

Donald Trump Comes Out Of Iowa Looking Like Pat Buchanan

The Trumper loses to Cruz. So now we can call the Trumper "A Loser" just like he calls everyone who ever lost anything. Heh.

"The real estate mogul no doubt had to swallow his pride considerably in this speech, since he regularly talks about winning in all aspects of life.

"Iowa, we love you. We thank you. You're special. We will be back many, many times. In fact, I think I might come here and buy a farm. I love it!"

Trump said to loud cheers from the crowd. Trump had previously joked to the people of Iowa that if he didn't win, "I will never speak to you people again, that I will tell you."  --HuffPost

That's just Donald playing his favorite sport: Contradicting himself.

Hillary squeaks by Bernie with a very, very narrow win.

For more results, go here.

I really don't want to talk about these popularity contests anymore.

"Iowa...is neither particularly large nor very representative of the rest of the country."

UPDATE:

RN USA is correct. Ted Cruz is more dangerous to this country than blubber lips Trump:

Cruz is saying God deserves all the credit for Cruz's win because this notable achievement was God's work? God works for Cruz!

Really?

And speaking of glory, is the T-GOP going to trade a vainglorious narcissist for an Elmer Gantry?

Hmmmm. Looks familiar.

Another Country, Australia, Thinks Trump Stinks

Our allies are piling on and wondering if America is really going to jump off the cliff and actually nominate a bloviating charlatan for the most important job on the planet.

First Britain's Parliament spent 3 hours ridiculing the Trumper and agreeing that he's a clown, a baboon, a demagogue, and all around jerk. Then Der Spiegel published an issue with Trump's photo on the cover, and wondering if America has gone mad.

Now here's another ally, Australia, weighing in on what other counties believe is a sick madness that has taken over one of America's political parties.

It makes one wonder how the Trumper could hope to be a world leader when a lot of that world thinks he's a jackass:

Only in America: Looking at Trump from ‘Down Under’

h/t Infidel753

Only in America.

From Down Under we see a sick deluded man of no redeeming features, full of racial hatred, bile and misogyny. A deluded pathetic liar unsuitable for the highest office in the land, if not the world. He sees complex problems and impregnates them with populism and implausible black and white solutions. He is a person of limited intellect and understanding only capable of seeing the world through the prism of his own wealth.

The far edges of knowledge seem to have passed him by. Matters requiring deep philosophical consideration seem beyond him. His opinions on subjects of internal and international importance are so shallow that one would think he spent the entirety of his youth in the wading pool at the local swimming pool, or six years in grade six and never academically advanced. He is a crash through politician with a ubiquitous mouth.

Trump remains an incoherent mess who bounces back after each disaster thinking he has been impressive while those around him are laughing their heads off. Entertaining in a uniquely American way he might be to the hillbillies but leadership requires worldly character.

Is America to have, an ignoramus of first world order, as President?

Good question. But a majority of the T-GOP are all sh*ts and giggles about having a loud-mouth, "incoherent mess" represent them.

Germany Doesn't Like Him Either

Not long ago, the British Parliament spent three hours telling the world that Donald Trump is a buffoon, a jerk, a demagogue, and that he should be ridiculed.

Now comes another one of America's allies telling the world what it thinks of La Donald:

The title, “Wahnsinn: Amerikas Hetzer Donald Trump,” translates roughly to “Madness: America’s Agitator Donald Trump.”

Sarah's Choice, By (O)CT(O)PUS of The Swash Zone

Sarah’s Choice
By (O)CT(O)PUS

Responding to a domestic violence report last week, police officers arrested a 26-year old suspect for punching and kicking his girlfriend and brandishing a firearm while intoxicated. Is this your typical crime blotter from Any Town USA? Not this time! The alleged offender is Track Palin, oldest son of Sarah Palin.

Whether Son of Sarah ends up in lockup, or receives a slap on his affluenza, is beside the point. Where was Mamma Pit Bull with Lipstick one day later? Was she arranging bail to spring her son from jail? Retaining legal counsel or family counsel?

On Tuesday, the former half-term governor of Alaska had flown to Ames, Iowa, to stump for Donald Trump. Her strained voice screeching of chalk on blackboard, the family values mom betrayed no hint of the family mess back home.

Not until Wednesday during a campaign stop in Tulsa, Oklahoma, did she finally speak of the ‘elephant in the room:’

“That starts from the top. It’s a shame that our military personnel even have to wonder, if they have to question, if they’re respected anymore. It starts from the top,” she insisted.

Agreed! Accountability starts from the top, and family priorities always come first (at least in my book). Was it PTSD that derailed her hapless Track, or perhaps another elephant in the room as yet unnamed? Let’s take a Tripp (no pun intended) down Memory Lane:

September 11, 2007 — Son of Sarah enlists in the U.S. Army. One year later, his Alaska-based 25th Infantry Division deploys to Iraq. His CIC is President George W. Bush.

September 2, 2008 — In the same week John McCain names Sarah Palin as VP running mate, tabloids break the news: Teenage daughter Bristol is pregnant.

September 6, 2014 — Let us recall the infamous Palin Family Brawl starring Papa Todd, Mama Grizzly, bristling Bristol, and punch-drunk Track.

June 27, 2015 — After earning $262,500 as teen pregnancy ambassador for the Candie Foundation (an abstinence awareness charity), Bristol announces her second pregnancy out of wedlock — from another failed relationship.

No doubt, tabloid journalism opens windows on the private lives of famous people but rarely prospects for meaningful clues behind the headlines. Are Palin family values behind closed doors the same as they appear in public?

Ask any mental health professional. Repetitive patterns of unplanned pregnancies, failed relationships, drunken rage, and domestic violence do not arise spontaneously from a vacuum. Here is the profile of a troubled family; of disconsolate offspring acting badly; and of absentee parents inattentive to their needs. Tabloid accounts merely scratch the surface of a family mired in drama and controversy.

Of course, Mamma Grizzly does what grizzlies do best: Shift blame. Accuse. Denounce. Ridicule. Play the victim card. And avoid mirrors. Blame the POTUS for the elephant in the room, but never admit responsibility. Behind these details, we catch a glimpse of misplaced priorities and erratic parenting.

If Sarah Palin has achieved anything in life, she has raised denial and self-affirming victimhood to a fine art, and her firebrand populism appeals to millions of like-minded followers. Last week, a moment of personal anguish behind the public mask was the story inside the story. On this point, journalists, lawyers and mental health professionals can agree: Negligent parents are good for business.

Here's Some Stupid for Thursday

The T-GOP loves to bleat about how liberals are nauseatingly PC, and are Marxist, Commie, anti-American, Tree-Hugging, Healthy Food Forcing Down Our Throats, Libturds!

But give those pure-blooded, America-loving T-GOPublicans a chance to run every branch of government, and Lo! you get a TalibaMerica!

The T-GOP never talk about how the Religicans want to impose their PC on the rest of us because they're true believers who advocate for their religio-ideology, believing, like any fanatical group, that they're righteous.

It's not PC when they're PCing!

Here's a peek into what an all Republican federal government would look like if a Republican captures the White House in 2016:

Oklahoma House passes bill restricting marriage to people of faith

A bill that would restrict the right to marry to people of faith and would mandate all marriage licenses be approved by a member of the clergy was approved by the Oklahoma state House on Tuesday.

The bill, approved by a Republican majority, now goes to the state Senate for consideration.

Don't believe they'd do it? Read what one of their heroes, whacko, Glenn Beck, said about Ted Cruz:

'Everybody Was Born For A Reason': Glenn Beck Says Ted Cruz's Presidential Campaign Is 'Divine Providence'

Glenn Beck interviewed Rafael Cruz, father of GOP presidential candidate Ted Cruz, on his television program last night, where he declared that the elder Cruz's birth was "divine providence" because it resulted in his son Ted, who he says is now being raised up to save this nation.

"Everybody was born for a reason," Beck told Cruz while the two were seated in a scale replica set of the Oval Office.

"As I learned your story and saw the fruit of that story, now in your son, I am more and more convinced in the hand of divine providence."

So we have Ted Cruz's father telling the world his son is just like God's son, Jesus Christ, here on Earth to save America.

Remember how the rabid righties claimed Liberals thought President Obama was the "Messiah?" (No one ever said he was -- that was all concocted by the right to make Obama look like a megalomaniac.)  Now comes Rafael Cruz telling the world (and batty Glenn Beck) that his son is divine and was sent to Earth to save us all! I'm waiting for photos of Ted walking on water.

An Interesting Study...

from 2014 finds that a large percentage of southern whites carry black African DNA.

The states in which this is the most predominant are South Carolina and Louisiana.

This would lead one to think that a good percentage of the KKK terrorists who tortured and killed American blacks just because they could were committing murder against their own kind. And it's a good bet that many of the bigots who mock President Obama and his family have a lot of the same DNA in their makeup as do the Obamas, which would be an embarrassment for the First Family -- sharing the same DNA with repulsive racists who are proud of their "redneck" heritage.

Study proves Southern white people have more black DNA than those in the rest of the U.S

"Many people who consider themselves 'white' would be surprised to discover they have African ancestry — especially those in the South.

In an ironic twist, a new study has found that some of the states with the most racial tension are also the ones where the most white people have black ancestors.

The findings published...in the American Journal of Human Genetics found that whites in the South were far more likely to have black ancestry than any other part of the country.

Researchers examined 145,000 DNA samples provided to genetic testing company 23andme for ancestry analysis. They have now determined that at least six million Americans who called themselves white had at least 1 percent African ancestry.

South Carolina and Louisiana ranked highest on the list. Researchers found that one in 20 people who called themselves white in those states had at least 2 percent African ancestry. And in a lot of the South, about 10 percent of people who identified as white turned out to have African DNA as well."

Wednesday is Trump Hump Day

Let the Trumper become the nominee and let the videos show what a sincere conservative he is!

From Face The Nation:

John Dickerson asked the Trumper to define what a conservative is:

"DICKERSON: What is your definition of conservative?

TRUMP: Well, I think it’s a person that doesn’t want to take overly risks. I think that’s a good thing. I think it’s a person that wants to — in terms of government I’m talking about, a person that wants to conserve.."

The Trumper breaks Ronald Reagan's 11th Commandment.  He calls fellow T-GOPer a "jerk."

No Evidence of Illegal Activity by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast

UPDATE BELOW:

It's difficult for the fanatics who cheered the fraudulent sting operation by David Daleiden, et.al., to accept that THEY and not Planned Parenthood were breaking laws, but apparently that is what the grand jury found --that's where the evidence led, as the Harris County district attorney said.

Where's all the hoopla in the "liberal" media or from the T-GOP candidates on this?

*crickets*

We'll follow the story to see what that the evidence is and what the outcome will be.

But don't hold your breath waiting for this subject to come up in the next GOP debate.  This subject was one of Carly Fiorina's biggest yelling points in past debates.  Even when she was confronted with facts that showed that the video had been tampered with, Fiorina did not back down in her assertion that living fetuses were hacked to pieces for profit.

Good for Planned Parenthood to go after the perpetrators of this fraud.

From ABC News:

A Houston grand jury investigating undercover footage of Planned Parenthood found no wrongdoing Monday by the abortion provider, and instead indicted anti-abortion activists involved in making the videos that targeted the handling of fetal tissue in clinics and provoked outrage among Republican leaders nationwide.

David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, was indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to purchasing human organs.

Another activist, Sandra Merritt, was also indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record, which carries a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison. It's the first time anyone in the group has been charged criminally since the release of the videos, which began surfacing last year and alleged that Planned Parenthood sold fetal tissue to researchers for a profit in violation of federal law.

Planned Parenthood officials have denied any wrongdoing and have said the videos were misleadingly edited. The footage from the clinic in Houston showed people pretending to be from a company called BioMax that procures fetal tissue for research touring the facility. Planned

Parenthood has previously said that the fake company sent an agreement offering to pay the "astronomical amount" of $1,600 for organs from a fetus. The clinic said it never entered into the agreement and ceased contact with BioMax because it was "disturbed" by the overtures.

In a statement announcing the indictment, Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson did not provide details on the charges, including what record or records were allegedly tampered with and why Daleiden faces a charge related to buying human organs. Her office said it could not disclose more information and a court spokesman said it was unclear whether copies of the indictments, which typically provide more insight, would be made public Monday.

"We were called upon to investigate allegations of criminal conduct by Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast," Anderson, an elected Republican, said in her statement. "As I stated at the outset of this investigation, we must go where the evidence leads us."

UPDATE:

From the blog "First Draft":

"Nothing. There was nothing there.

Not only was there nothing there, but there was something less than nothing there, because people actually got themselves INDICTED for making out like there was something there.

Not only was there something less than nothing there, but anybody with two brain cells to rub together looked at the sterling credentials of the people making out like there was something there and said, there’s nothing there.

They were, of course, the exact kind of carnival barkers they seemed to be, and this news only surprises the people who make a living being surprised when the curtain gets pulled back and, instead of an alien life form, the freak show’s just one sad goat with a weird mark on its neck.

I don’t really blame the barkers. They’re doing their jobs, and people will do the same job after them just as people have done the same job before them."

Sarah Palin: A Morally Sloppy Person

This "morally sloppy" woman, who is admired by the evangelical Christian right, gave her blessing and endorsement to Donald Trump. And he happily accepted it, which shows how shallow and fraudulent those who pretend Sarah Palin and Donald Trump represent " Christian family values" are.

It is strikingly evident to anyone with a moral compass that, compared with the evangelical Christian right's heroes, Palin and Trump, the Obama family is far and away better at parenting than Palin would ever hope to be, and the Obamas are a far better model of marital fidelity and devotion than Trump is.

IOW, it is Barack and Michelle Obama who are the models of decent family values. Compare them to the brawling, messy Palins and Donald Trump's three marriages, the last to a center-fold model. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, but can you imagine the evangelicals' outrage if Michelle Obama had posed semi-nude then had the temerity to become America's FLOTUS?) They popped their corks when Michelle bared her arms but seem to be oh so tolerant with Melania baring her ta-tas and hoo-ha.

It shows, again, how the so-called "family values" right is not about family values at all, but all about political expediency and alliances to further their agendas.  They value morally sloppy candidates over the real deal.

The National Review: Anti-Trump Edition

PLEASE GO TO Infidel753's BLOG TO READ A GREAT ANALYSIS OF TRUMP'S MARCH TO THE REPUBLICAN PARTY'S NOMINATION.

Check out all the conservative bigwigs who are against a Trump nomination.

Especially interesting is Thomas Sowell, a revered columnist and the TeaPublicans' favorite African-American conservative writer.  I've read many times on right wing news sites and blogs how brilliant and what a "true" conservative he is.

What do the rabid righties, so in love with the Trumper, think of Sowell's and the other conservatives' defection?

The issue features a blistering editorial that labels Trump a threat to conservatism, as well as essays by 22 prominent conservative thinkers from various ideological factions, in opposition to Trump's candidacy.

"Donald Trump is a menace to American conservatism who would take the work of generations and trample it underfoot on behalf of a populism as heedless and crude as The Donald himself," the editorial states.

One of Trump's competitors, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, quickly tweeted out the cover Thursday night. "Welcome to the fight, all. Trump is not a conservative," he said.

What? Trump's not a conservative?  Then why is he so popular with so many of them? Trump is the embodiment of what the GOP has become: Angry, Loud, Petulant, Nasty, and Frightened of the Other.

It's too late to jump off of the tiger's back.

Hahahahahahahahaha!

On the anniversary (plus one) of President Obama's inauguration, a compilation of how wrong pundits can be:

Oct. 27, 2006: "[Obama] should run in '08. He will lose in '08. And the loss will put him irrevocably on a path to the presidency." For him to win in '08 would require a "miracle." -- Charles Krauthammer Dec. 17, 2006:

"Barack Obama is not going to beat Hillary Clinton in a single Democratic primary. I'll predict that right now." -- William Kristol Dec. 22, 2006:

"Obama's shot at the top will be short lived.... Hillary Inc. will grind up and spit out any Democratic challenger that gets in its way." -- Joe Scarborough Mar. 19, 2007:

"The right knows Obama is unelectable except perhaps against Attila the Hun." -- Mark Penn Sep. 24, 2007:

"Sen. Obama cannot possibly believe, and doesn't even act as if he believes, that he can be elected president of the United States next year." -- Christopher Hitchens Dec. 24, 2007:

"A Bound Man: Why We Are Excited About Obama and Why He Can't Win." -- title of book by Shelby Steele Jan. 26, 2008:

"The 'could we beat Obama?' conversation is purely academic. It's over. The Clintons have defeated him already, because he is leaving South Carolina as 'the black candidate.' He won't win another state." -- Michael Graham, National Review May 7, 2008:

"[Obama] has shown he cannot get the votes Democrats need to win -- blue-collar, working class people. He can get effete snobs, he can get wealthy academics, he can get the young, and he can get the black vote, but Democrats do not win with that.... He will lose big." -- Rush Limbaugh June 3, 2008:

"Obama can't possibly be elected." -- Dick Morris Aug. 4, 2008:

"The Molten Core of Barack: Why Obama Can't Win." -- Alex Castellanos Aug. 11, 2008:

"As I wrote last December, '[t]he pundits can talk until they are blue in the face about Obama's charisma and eloquence and cross-racial appeal. The fact of the matter is that Obama has no chance of being elected president in 2008.' I am more convinced of this conclusion than ever." -- Steven M. Warshawsky, The American Thinker Aug. 15, 2008:

"Most people think Sen. Obama has this election in the bag, but in reality he stands very little chance of reaching the presidency because of the simple fact that he is far too liberal for America." -- Russ Duenow, Fredericksburg.com Aug. 31, 2008:

"Mr. Obama is doomed to defeat.... Mr. McCain will win - and win big - in November." -- Jeffrey Kuhner, The Washington Times Sep. 22, 2008:

"John McCain will win the presidential election, Kellyanne Conway, one of the country's most respected Republican pollsters, tells Newsmax." -- Ronald Kessler Oct. 9, 2008:

"I have received numerous emails from Republicans and Democrats alike, asking whether I still think Obama will lose the election. Yes, I do. But what about the polls, they ask? The polls show that Obama is winning. No, they don't, as I will explain." -- Steven M. Warshawsky Oct. 25, 2008:

"[T]here are real signs pointing to a McCain victory this year, whether or not the mainstream media wants to acknowledge them." -- Steven M. Warshawsky Oct. 28, 2008:

"The Seven Reasons McCain-Palin Are a Lock to Win." -- Dan Perrin Nov. 2, 2008:

Obama will win the popular vote but lose the election -- Fred Barnes Nov. 3, 2008:

"I think John McCain will win a squeaker over Barack Obama." -- Ed Morrissey Nov. 3, 2008:

"Throw out the polls. All of them.... The fact is that no pollster truly knows what is going on this election cycle, because this election is unlike any other in the nation's recent history.... The final Electoral Vote tally will be 275-263 for McCain." -- Mark Impomeni, Politics Daily Nov. 3, 2008:

"The media could be the real mid-wife of the November 4th victory by Senator McCain and Governor Palin." -- Dan Perrin
