File under: "PIGS ARE FLYING!"

BREAKING NEWS:

Fox News To File Amicus Brief In Support Of CNN’s Jim Acosta Lawsuit

Fox News fans are not happy that their favorite network is filing an amicus brief on behalf of CNN’s Jim Acosta, who had his White House press pass revoked by the Trump administration last week.

“Fox News supports CNN in its legal effort to regain its White House reporter’s press credential,” Fox News President Jay Wallace said on Tuesday. “Secret Service passes for White House journalists should never be weaponized.”

Look, the Admin said Acosta's credential was being revoked because he touched/roughed up/accosted a White House Intern.

Now they are asserting a different defense.

So, on a least one occasion, they are lying, or mistaken.

Either way, it looks like they will lose this round.

All around, conservatives are losing on the actual law. They're upset about counting all the votes in an election. A recent FOX show said we should go with the votes counted on election night and no more. She said, "It's funner that way!" But that's not the law.

Today FOX News files in support of CNN.

Last night even strong conservative/liberal blogger Silverfiddle admitted he was wrong about US law as it relates to asylum and that petitioners cannot apply in Mexico, but must be in the US.

The problem is that the rank and file extremists supporting Trump do not like the law when it disagrees with their preferred way of governing or preferred results. Their views, basically consistent with their disgust with Thurgood Marshall when the NAACP demanded the US follow the law regarding civil rights, can best be summed up in one commenters post...

"If that be the law, then THE LAW IS A ASS."

Dave, We know how these people think and act. They're the chest-pounders who bray about being real Americans but balk at any law that comes up against their "real American" prejudices and bigotry. Like Trump, the really don't believe in a democratic republic, but long for a strongman demagogue to dispense with rules and laws that annoy them and interfere with their ideas of a never-changing America where everyone is white and Christian, and the leaders are all men, while the women stay home and produce lots of babies.

Change has frightened them along with an economic system that makes the rich richer and the poor poorer with their Republican leaders telling them that affordable health care and covering pre-existing conditions are a Marxist plot to destroy America, that climate change is a Chinese hoax, and that America needs to shut her doors to not just the undocumented who come here for refuge, but to all immigrants because they are different in way they cannot abide.

They don't believe in the rule of law as set out by our Constitution; they believe in the rule of law that keeps them in the majority. The reality is that in a very few years that will no longer be true. Law or no law.

Not only do they not believe in the rule of law set up by the Constitution, they want to change those laws and they now have the judge majority to do it.
