Dofleinia armata (armed anemone)

★ Dofleinia armata (armed anemone)

This was found in Broome, Western Australia and is an anemone. More specifically, Dofleinia armata, the armed anemone. Also called the striped anemone. It is considered extremely dangerous as it can inflict painful stings that take months to heal.

Interesting! So, Sea Anemones are the link between plants and animals. Remember that the next time you are having a salad. You are eating a long, lost relative! 😂🤣

Fascinating the wonders and beauty of our world. It's a shame we're such piss poor stewards of the place. If I were our landlord, I'd evict us. :)

Mike, it's a wonder anyone lives in Oz because there are so many creatures there that are so deadly. Man being Number 1!
