JUSTICE!

Proud Boys Leader Joe Biggs Gets Hefty Sentence for Jan. 6 Riot

Proud Boys leader Joe Biggs was “an instigator and leader” of the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol, according to prosecutors. Now he’ll serve 17 years behind bars after being sentenced for seditious conspiracy on Thursday. It’s a lengthy jail term compared to the other Capitol rioters—only a year shorter than the longest sentence given for Jan. 6-related crimes. That belongs to Oath Keepers founder Stewart Rhodes, who got an 18-year sentence for the same crime. Biggs is a veteran of the U.S. Army and sustained a head injury during his service in Iraq. He later joined right-wing conspiracy website Infowars as a correspondent. When he stormed the Capitol with his fellow Proud Boys on Jan. 6, Briggs was a “vocal leader and influential proponent of the group’s shift toward political violence,” prosecutors argued.

This is Biggs after the J6 insurrection, bragging about how much fun it was.

Head injuries can turn people into haters. I know a couple of them.

Don't worry we'll pardon them after we re-take the White House from the true insurrectionist the Democrats.

Another J6 offender, Dominic Pezzola, was sentenced to 10 years for his actions.

Another crybaby, he tried to convince the judge that he was reformed, saying... “There is no place in my future for groups or politics whatsoever,”. Then, as he left the courtroom, he raised a fist and said, “Trump won!”

Reformed my eye.

Keep these violent insurrectionists behind bars until their threat is over.

Such a troll...

No dispositive argument at all. Simply a call to forgive and forget the actions of people who beat police to within inches of their lives.

Anon... do you support people who beat police? Cause it sure looks like it.

The republicans are all about rule of law until their not. Commit the crime, do the time. This should apply to everyone not just high profile cases. It would be advantageous if sentences for those who are involved in protest crimes like burning down businesses and damaging public and private property associated with social movements would be highlighted. Haven't seen much of that.
Protest all you want, just don't commit a violent crime in doing it.

skuds not the only one whining about " It would be advantageous if sentences for those who are involved in protest crimes like burning down businesses and damaging public and private property associated with social movements would be highlighted. Haven't seen much of that.

This must be the latest 'on message' memo received by those who refuse to open their eyes to facts.

The fact that those who did damage during the BLM protests (a majority who were outed as agitators doing their best to cause problems for the BLM community) were found, arrested, prosecuted, and are now serving their sentences means nothing to the skuds of the world because none of their voices of authority speak of it which means to them it never happened. Apparently only the MAGA folks are facing the consequences of their actions (insert eye roll here)

Not kidding - I have a neighbor who sounds exactly like skud here. If I didn't know skud doesn't live in my state I'd be giving them the stink eye, just saying.

The J6 events are a national news story because people tried to overthrow the government in our nation's Capital. You can find information on the prosecuting of the criminals charged with burning and looting of stores in other cities (which GOTS mentioned that a majority were outside agitators), by googling the local papers/tv networks. Many, many folks have been arrested and put in jail. While burning and looting is awful, it does not rise to the level of trying to overthrow the government. You will also find stories in the local papers (like my hometown area of the Twin Cities) about locals who were peacefully protesting and also putting up human barricades to keep their local stores from getting broken into or burned from outside agitators.

Grey One talks sass Thank you for setting the record straight here on P.E.

Here's my answer to skud, as well:

skud Re: the riots of 2020 after the George Floyd murder: "It would be advantageous if sentences for those who are involved in protest crimes like burning down businesses and damaging public and private property associated with social movements would be highlighted. Haven't seen much of that."

skudrunner NEVER looks things up to see if he's correct in his accusations.

Skud, you "haven't seen much of that" BECAUSE YOU HAVEN'T TAKEN THE TIME TO LOOK. You'd rather post incorrect accusations than look for facts. Why is that?

From the Associated Press: "It’s a common refrain from some of those charged in the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol and their Republican allies: The Justice Department is treating them harshly because of their political views while those arrested during last year’s protests over racial injustice were given leniency.

Court records tell a different story.

An Associated Press review of court documents in more than 300 federal cases stemming from the protests sparked by George Floyd’s death last year shows that dozens of people charged have been convicted of serious crimes and sent to prison.

[SKIP]

The AP found that more than 120 defendants across the United States have pleaded guilty or were convicted at trial of federal crimes including rioting, arson and conspiracy. More than 70 defendants who’ve been sentenced so far have gotten an average of about 27 months behind bars. At least 10 received prison terms of five years or more.ws that dozens of people charged have been convicted of serious crimes and sent to prison."

Skud has claimed this more than once, and never took the time to do a Google search to see if what he's spreading is true. It isn't. And it took me a matter of seconds to find out the facts.

It's almost as if skud and others THINK something and their thoughts automatically are true. These "thoughts" not facts; their "thoughts' keep people incensed and ready to start a civil war.

What happened to this country?

Proud Boys Leader Joe Biggs who was sentenced to 17 years in prison tells Alex Jones he knows Trump will pardon him:

"I know Donald Trump will pardon us and he should... We're his supporters; we went there like he asked."
