We are also a part of a greater consciousness. The lump of food that is our body passes away. Our consciousness continues on as a part of the greater consciousness.

We are, one with the universe.

Yes, we are one with the universe, but artificial constructs divide us.
Aside from political, philosophical, metaphysical and spiritual beliefs, there are scientific constants in our lives that bind us together in the same reality.

We are living participants in the wonderous chain of evolution on Earth
We are sentient beings on this planet
We are points of consciousness in the Universe
We are channels and vessels of energy and matter
In our space and in our time in our Universe

Ignorance, fear, religion and politics are what divide us from accepting this reality.
Somehow the simple wisdom of understanding love unites and heals while hate divides and destroys is forgotten.

Religion divides. Spirituality unites.

There are fewer seekers compared to those who simply accept that which society and religious organizations tell them to believe... without question. Beliefs held strongly cause people to close off to all that doesn't allign with their reified beliefs. Seeking if the way. Not simply accepting.

Politics are now a us -vs- them game. Again, driven by all who believe they know. Even when they don't. Again, reified beliefs closes the mind of the one holding them. I know from personal past experience. Seeking is the way. Not simply accepting.

Ignorance of our true essence and nature is the source of our dissatisfaction and suffering.

Fear rests within ourselves and therefore is not caused by extrrnal events. Recognition of our minds true essence and true nature is the antidote for fear.

Yes Dave you are right. Love, understanding, and the wisdom of acceptance is what is needed to unite us. Unfortunately a large segment of our population apparently has no interest in unity. Unless it is exactly as they wish it to be.
