General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."

BREAKING: According to multiple reports, this billboard is currently being displayed on the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv, Israel.

“Thank you Mr. President,” aimed at thanking Biden and America.

Israel knows that America stands by her side.

On October 23, 1983, Hezbollah terrorists drove an explosive-laden truck into the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon, killing 220 Marines, 18 sailors and 3 soldiers. It was the deadliest single day for the U.S. Marine Corps since WWII.

Yesterday, Trump praised Hezbollah as “very smart.”

No thanks to the GOP in Congress.

No resolution to show, despite our political differences, that the US can be unified on support for Israel.

No Ambassador for Israel. Other Middle east countries are without US ambassadors also. Numerous key State Dept jobs are empty because the Senate will not confirm nominees.

Over 300 key US military appts are also being held up by the GOP, including posts in the Middle East.

Additionally we can't send any military or financial aid to Israel.

Why?

Because the GOP has no desire to actually govern. Any body of people that wanted to govern would have a governing philosophy, yet the GOP only wants to defund the government, shut it down, be angry and not face reality.

That is why Israel thanks President Joe Biden. Because he is doing what he can, affirming America's rock solid support for Israel in the face of the terrorism of Hamas.

That's because you know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Here's a compilation of Trump from last night calling Hezbollah "very smart," praising Chinese President Xi, attacking Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, attacking Israel, and calling the Israeli Defense Minister a "jerk."

Israel's communications Minister Shlomo Karhi slams Trump for his attack on Israel:

"It's shameful that a man like that, a former US president, abets propaganda and disseminates things that wound the spirit of Israel’s fighters and its citizens.”

Rev, Are you talking about the gop in congress offering no support like omar, bush, tlaib, pressley and casar. Or perhaps you are talking the democrats support to get a new speaker. When you say because the senate will not approve anyone I assume you are aware that the senate is democrat controlled. Yes the gop has some quacks but so do the democrats.

I did listen to joey b's speech and he did a nice if not enthusiast speech. He actually warned iran which was a first.

A good article from The Jerusalem Post that also shows the photos of the billboard, along with another billboard with Joe Biden's photo with only one word "Don't"

I've seen other reports that Biden's unequivocal stance is widely appreciated in Israel. He got this crisis exactly right.

I think your last comment was referencing this link. Trump doesn't let a little thing like 1,300 horribly-murdered innocent people get in the way of his standard jackassery.

From Giorgi Revishvili:

"Russia's involvement in the Israel-Hamas conflict"

https://twitter.com/revishvilig

Very interesting comments by Kyrylo Budanov on Russia's involvement in the Israel-Hamas conflict:

We clearly know that trophy weapons from Ukraine were transferred by the Russians to the Hamas. It is mostly infantry weapons.

There's also information some were transferred to Hezbollah but we don't know for sure at this point.

Everyone saw videos on social networks - a completely, natural for our region and unnatural for the Middle East tactic, when FPV drones were used against armored vehicles.

This is the know-how of our war after all. No one other than people who passed through our theater of war could do such a thing. Since we were not there, it means that it was the Russians

Two more interesting facts.

First: a little more than a week before the start of these actions, the Russian station "Sputnik" began to officially broadcasting in Arabic in Lebanon. This broadcast was in an absolutely propagandist style with clear Russian narratives.

Second: on September 24, a Russian spacecraft capable of conducting radio-electronic reconnaissance and intercepting satellite signals was moved to Israel's geostationary orbit.

Let me remind you that on September 22-24, there was an official visit of the Russian military delegation to Iran. We know that there were several, shall we say, wishes from the Iranian side. One of them concerned the expansion of intelligence capabilities.

It is now clear what intelligence information the Russians began to provide to all interested parties. I emphasize that it is not Iran alone, but all interested parties.

MEIDAS TOUCH: "Imagine if every single day, President Biden appeared to believe he was running against George W. Bush for the presidency.

It would be the top headline of every publication.

The entire nation would be deeply concerned.

Well, Donald Trump has now more than a handful of times in the past couple of weeks said that he is running against Barack Obama in the 2024 election.

This morning, Trump wondered aloud during a Fox Radio interview with host Brian Kilmeade about Obama's nonexistent presidential statements on Iran's involvement in the Hamas attacks. A concerned-sounding Kilmeade had to correct Trump live. "Well, you mean President Biden," Kilmeade told Trump.

The other day Trump tried to cover for these brain lapses by trying to spread a conspiracy theory that Obama is President Biden's "boss." It was a weak attempt to cover for his failing mental faculties.

These are beyond slips of the tongue. When you add this together with Trump thinking that people need voter ID to buy bread, saying that President Biden was going to start World War II, and other recent gaffes, it's clear that Trump's mental deterioration must be brought to the forefront of the conversation.

Trump is deeply unwell. He is often confused, paranoid, and angry. And all of us – and the media – need to be talking about it daily."

It is what it is and approx. 35% of the nation appears to be totally unaware. Or, simply does not care.

Joe Conservative said...

We most definitely don't care. Democratic talking points aren't news today, and never will be again.

And, you're ignorant to boot.

I was talking to the family of a friend here in Mexico. Ppl always say stories need to be told.

Her father's family had lived on the land in the Middle east for generations. Then they were displaced when the UN took their land for the creation of an Israeli state.

They've never supported the violence from Hamas, the PLO or any other organization. They've never supported the violence from Israel. But here they are. Not on their land, the land of their family. Their citizenship of that area was wiped away by an international coalition for another group. They got very little compensation.

And now they will soon be watching bombs fall on their friends and family.

They didn't massacre anyone. Literally, they are innocents. With few, if any options.

Just something to add to the conversation.

Thanks, because if you're representative of smartness, I'm HAPPILY ignorant. :)

@Dave

Had the Arab countries surrounding Israel absorbed the displaced population in '47-48, much as Israel absorbed the Jewish populations fleeing the Arab states, they would still be living in the ME. They should be happy. They escaped the Palestinian misery trap that perpetuates the tragedy neccesitated by Israeli occupation.

I'm glad for you then. Carry on with your MAGA delusions. While reality based folks do the heavy lifting of truth and reason.

Get out of it? I embrace it! I embrace the "suffering". Suffering is the key to "change".

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

Wanna know why AI is the biggest potential facilitator of global annilhilation? Like a Buddhist, it has no ego, but also no compassion... only a compulsion to eliminate suffering. And what is life, but suffering? AI would soon conclude, as did Lessing's son, that the best way to eliminate suffering would be to eliminate life itself.

Shaw Kenawe said...

"The Buddha believed that most suffering is caused by a tendency to crave or desire things. A person might crave something nice to eat or desire to go on a nice holiday or earn lots of money. Buddhism teaches that through being dissatisfied with their lives and craving things, people suffer."

-FJ, you seem to be suffering from wanting to be the most important and erudite person on internet blogs. That's NOT going to happen, no matter how many times you post your rants.
