Democrats seek the 11th Station for salvation, but much as in the tale of Station Eleven, there is no rescue mission.... no Starman in the Sky coming to the rescue. There's only us... the other monsters. :(
I'm not a monster. I'm a retired, widowed grandmother who's worked all her life and had hoped to live what years I have left in peace and financial security.
Trump and his stupidity is ruining that.
But Trump isn't the worst I've faced. I fought cancer 6 times. Count that again, 6 times! (Mass. General docs are miracle workers!) and now I have to fight the cancer in the WH.
Multiply that by the millions more Americans whose lives he's ruining.
“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.” ― Friedrich W. Nietzsche
When you fight monsters, the goal is to get rid of them, not become one.
For the immediate future, we're stuck with the Idiot King Donald who has caused a worldwide financial disaster.
If you've read history, you will notice that megalomaniacs/malignant narcissists/liars, cheats, frauds don't come to good endings. Even now, there are MAGA who voted for Trump and regret their huge mistake!
The people they hurt rise up and get rid of these monsters.
The monsters create their own demise through their destructive behaviors against those who put trust in them.
There is no "Final Solution". Germany wouldn't suffer from German guilt-pride today (vis "Israel") had it not attempted one. Much as post-colonialism wouldn't still be a thing, nor would America's white guilt-pride be a problem had we not made others into 'monsters' (or inhuman) to be dealt with by "getting rid of the problem" rather dealing with them.
You don't have to adopt the whole megillah monstrosity... but you may have to learn to live with at least a little piece of it if you ever want to put the "other / greater pieces" of that monstrosity to bed.
Sometimes all it takes is a new and slightly different perspective... of believing that if less provokes, Steve Bannon wouldn't "hulk" and Dr. Jekyll would spend more time curing his patients and not roaming the streets as Mr. Hyde.

I love Bowie. I wish that there had been a rescue mission... but Major Tom didn't make it. :(

Speak for yourself, -FJ.

TRUMP IS THE MONSTER!
To us, you're the monsters. To you, we're the monsters. And the only way we're ever going to get along, is if we stop treating each other as such.

History is rife with examples of this.

Of learning to live with a few "imperfections" instead of insisting upon "perfection"... and completing the pyramid on the back of the dollar bill.
