I couldn't attend any of the marches but my friends have been posting pics. I am amazed by the number of humans braving the weather, the number of old folks who could sit this out but were there, loud and proud, to protect future generations. The colors, the love, the absolute rage against those who are crashing our democracy and economy. First Amendment Rights on display and it was beautiful.
With one bum knee and bad back, I so wanted to be there in DC but just can't walk or stand in one place for a long period of time. I was certainly there in spirit. My older sister and her husband (both closing in on 70 years old), both true independents, voting both Republican and Democratic all their lives (though she would NEVER vote for trump). She texted me photos of them at the St. Paul Capitol along with throngs of people. I was so happy and proud of her for going!!

The treatment approach is still early in its development; the personalized immunotherapy regimen shrank tumors in only about a quarter of the patients with colon, rectal and other GI cancers enrolled in a clinical trial. Sadly, the project is now being ended due to funding cuts. I guess life saving medicine costs money and we have no need to be spending our tax dollars on trivial matters.

My brokerage accounts are down $171,000 because of the tariffs. I had actually thought of pulling my money out of the stock market when tRUMP won. Too late now.
Now is not the time to sell stocks unless you need the money to love. Look at when the housing market crashed because of sub prime mortgages and 2020 during covid and shutdown. Wasn't trump in either case but stung just the same if you sold. I don't think we have seen close to the bottom so I am sitting on my hands and have not lost a thing.

It is TRUMP who has hurt us the most. Even conservative economists have said so, and they have said that his trade wars are probably the dumbest thing any POTUS has done in our history.
I'm pretty sure you'll continue your trashing Biden, but it will look a bit foolish now that Trump has turned an economy that was the envy of the world into a trash heap. And hurt people like me and Mike. But you're okay. Good.
Biden was a terrible president and trump is doing things that make no sense and if you need to sell to live you will get hurt. Just because you brokerage accounts are down doesn't mean you have lost money. I hope you realize that the stock market is the largest legal casino in the world and never bet more than you can afford to lose. So far the impact of trumps foolish actions have not affected prices but will in the near future. Biden forced everyone into paying more for everything and it appears trump will do the same thing. Should have voted for Nikki.
