PRESIDENT RAINDROP

Just imagine the apoplectic reaction from the Right had President Obama skipped an important 100-year anniversary ceremony honoring our WW I military dead. But President Raindrop did just that, and not a peep from his rabid cultists.

Sane Republicans weighed in with disgust and dismay, as normal people would.

Trump didn't even bother to show up at Arlington National Cemetery as presidents traditionally do on Veteran's Day. When President Obama missed a visit to Arlington for some reason, the righties went beserk, calling him any foul name they could think of. President Obama missed one or maybe two in his eight years as CiC. And when Mr. Obama was unable to go to Arlington, he sent his V.P. Trump didn't show up and didn't send his V.P.

Low-energy, self-absorbed, shameful:

Donald J. Trump is not the President of All the United States.

Donald J. Trump is the President of his base, and that is all. When a POTUS is not able to extend his sympaty and compassion to areas of America that have been burned to the ground -- because those areas are in blue states, that is proof enough that not only does Donald J. Trump lack human decency, he lacks the ability to see citizens who differ with him as Americans.

I will never acknowledge him as the POTUS, but only as PORS -- President of Red States. Shame, shame, shame on him.

I cannot imagine anyone defending this wicked, wicked poor excuse of a human being.

Donald J. Trump: The Republican's Lying Liar -- Part The Infinity

Trump Denies Knowing Attorney General He Met Over a Dozen Times

Two days after he hired a transparent political hack to run the Justice Department, President Trump has failed to come up with a remotely plausible cover story.

“I didn’t speak to Matt Whitaker about” the Russia investigation, Trump told reporters this morning, “I don’t know Matt Whitaker. Matt Whitaker has a great reputation and that’s what I wanted.”

None of those things are true.

Whitaker does not have a “great reputation.” He lost a race to be the Iowa Republican Senate nominee in 2014, and spent the next few years working for a scam patent company that was shut down as a fraud while getting Trump’s attention by engaging in low-rent pro-Trump punditry that he leveraged into a chief of staff job.

Trump does know Whitaker, and has spoken about the Russia investigation with him. “As Sessions’s chief of staff, Whitaker met with the president in the Oval Office more than a dozen times, normally accompanying the attorney general, according to a senior administration official,” the Washington Post reported yesterday.

“When Trump complained about the Mueller investigation, Whitaker often smiled knowingly and nodded in assent, the official said.”

Last month, Trump told Fox News, “I know Matt Whitaker.”

In other news of Trump's lies:

Remember when President Porn Star Shagger said he knew nothing about the payments to his porn star mistress and his playmate bunny mistress?

LIE.

LIE.

According to the Wall Street Journal's report, President Porn Star Shagger ordered the hush money paid to both of his mistresses.

This, of course, will only make his cultists love him more. The more corrupt and sordid his behavior, the more his cultists adore the tyrant.

Rick Scott Accuses Democrats of Trying to Thwart G.O.P.’s Successful Voter Suppression

********************************

"Because of her extensive and successful leadership and administrative skills, Dr. Brenda Snipes was asked by REPUBLICAN Governor JEB BUSH to serve out the term of Supervisor of Elections in Broward County. She began this appointment on November 20, 2003. She was re-elected for a four-term in November 2004, 2008, 2012, and again in 2016. Not a Liberal and appointed by a Republican." --Lee Arnold

YAHOO NEWS:  "TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Republican Gov. Rick Scott has alleged — without citing evidence — that elections officials in South Florida are trying to "steal" the election for Democrats as razor-thin margins raise the specter of recounts and court battles in the state's races for Senate and governor.

In the governor's race, Democrat Andrew Gillum's campaign said Thursday it's readying for a possible recount. The race has tightened since he conceded to Republican Ron DeSantis on Tuesday night. As of Thursday afternoon, DeSantis led Gillum by 0.47 percentage point.

Meanwhile, Democratic incumbent Sen. Bill Nelson has begun preparing for a potential recount in a race still too close to call against Scott, who is leaving the governor's seat because of term limits. Nelson's lawyer called that race a "jump ball." Scott's campaign urged Nelson to concede. Scott held a 0.21 percentage lead over Nelson on Thursday afternoon.

Florida's is a perennial swing state, and many of its elections have been decided by the thinnest of margins since 2000, when Florida decided the presidency by 537 votes in a contest that took more than five weeks to sort out. Still, the state has never seen so many dead heats in one year. And like 2000, the counting process is becoming contentious."

I Love This...

GOP Rep. Karen Handel concedes to Democratic challenger Lucy McBath in the tight Georgia 6th District special election.

It adds another seat takeover for Democrats as they try to pad their projected House majority.

After her teenage son was killed in what has been called a racially motivated attack, mom Lucy McBath felt inspired to make a difference in her community. Now she’ll have an excellent opportunity to do so after being elected to the House of Representatives on Tuesday.

On Nov. 23, 2012, McBath’s 17-year-old son, Jordan Davis, was fatally shot while listening to music in an SUV with his friends in Jacksonville, Florida. The shooter, Michael Dunn, claimed he felt threatened when the group refused to turn down their car radio. Dunn, who is now serving a life sentence, was white. Jordan, along with his three unarmed friends, was black.

But I HATE that:

President Unindicted Co-conspirator is responsible for this:

An Arkansas man has been arrested and charged with 18 different counts of making threats aimed at CNN’s Don Lemon, Rep. Maxine Waters, Planned Parenthood, Sen. Chuck Schumer, Michael Avenatti and more. The Baxter County Sheriff’s office picked up 39-year-old Benjamin Craig Matthews of Mountain Home, Arkansas. His charges include five counts of “felony terroristic threats.”

More from the Arkansas Democrat Gazette: In one call, according to the affidavit, Matthews asked the CNN switchboard operator, "Could I be directed to DL's dead body hanging from a tree?"

Another time, Matthews asked if his call could be directed to "pipe bombs for DL."

In another call, Matthews spoke of "bloody pictures of DL cut up in small pieces, like the movie Saw," according to the affidavit from Sgt. Brad Hurst with the Baxter County sheriff's office.

Matthews is facing a slew of charges. Matthews has been charged with five counts of felony terroristic threatening, four counts of misdemeanor terroristic threatening and nine counts of harassing communications, which is a misdemeanor.

#45's Acting Attorney General -- Like Trump, a Scam Artist

Here's Trump's new acting A.G. He and Trump have much in common vis-a-vis cheating and scamming the American people (scum attracts scum):

Trump’s Acting Attorney General Was Part Of Firm That Scammed Millions From ‘Thousands Of Consumers’, Says FTC

Mathew Whitaker, the man appointed acting attorney general on Wednesday afternoon after President Trump fired Attorney General Jeff Sessions, was reportedly part of an invention-marketing company the U.S. government deemed “an invention-promotion scam” that tricked “thousands of consumers out of millions of dollars,” The Guardian reported on Wednesday.

According to the report, Whitaker sat on the advisory board of World Patent Marketing, a firm that was ordered to pay a $26 million settlement in May after federal authorities said it tricked aspiring inventors.

Court filings show that Whitaker received regular payments of $1,875 from the Florida-based company, and sent a threatening email in 2015 to a victim of the alleged scam. In the email obtained by the Miami New Times and The Guardian, Whitaker wrote that there could be “serious” consequences. “I am assuming you understand that there could be serious civil and criminal consequences for you,” Whitaker wrote in an email. “Understand that we take threats like this quite seriously.”

Whitaker admitted in 2014 that the company goes “beyond making statements about doing business ‘ethically’ and translate those words into action.” In March 2017, the FTC filed a lawsuit against World Patent Marketing and its founder, Scott Cooper.

Remember when evangelical Republicans complained about dead liberals voting? Then they elected a dead guy, WHO WAS A PIMP!

That didn't take long!

OUT!

AG Sessions resigned.

Trump's been humiliating him since Sessions acted like the Attorney General of the United States instead of President Porn Star Shagger's personal attorney.

I won't miss him, but who knows who #45 will call up from the swamp to replace him.

Guesses?

Julie Annie?

And in other election news:

"Minnesota Republican Rep. Jason Lewis, who once lamented that he could no longer call women "sluts," has lost his seat to Democrat Angie Craig.

Democrats Take The House!

Let the subpoenas begin!

The US is no longer a one-party country.

Nancy Pelosi is back as Speaker of the House.

The shenanigans by Georgia's attorney-general in suppressing the vote were successful in keeping Stacy Abrams from winning, and we all know how crooked Florida is, so it is no surprise that Gillam lost. At this time, the Nelson -- Scott contest is still too close to call.

Beto O'Rourke gave Ted Cruz a damn good scare. It is astounding that the contest was so close in a state that is so red. It would have been like seeing Senator Elizabeth Warren come close to losing in blue, blue, Massachusetts to an young upstart red candidate. Completely unimaginable. Good going Beto! You did very, very well.

And congrats to the Democrats who picked up the governorships! The Dems gained SEVEN; the Republicans lost seven! Well done

Kobach's gone, Scott Walker's gone, a record number of women are in the House, Adam Schiff now has subpoena power, and Maxine Waters gets to look at Trump's tax returns. It was a pretty good night!

BTW: House means Mueller is protected. I’ll take it!

100 WOMEN IN THE HOUSE!

New York Times:
Propelled by an unusually high turnout that illustrated the intensity of the backlash against Mr. Trump, Democrats claimed at least 26 House seats on the strength of their support in suburban and metropolitan districts that were once bulwarks of Republican power but where voters have recoiled from the president’s demagoguery on race. Early Wednesday morning Democrats clinched the 218 House seats needed to take control. There were at least 15 additional tossup seats that had yet to be called.

ELECTION DAY -- November 6,2018 PART ii

The only way the GOP knows how to win:

CHEAT, LIE, SUPPRESS THE VOTE:

"Look at what’s happening in Georgia, where Brian Kemp — the Republican secretary of state, who oversees elections — is running for governor against Democrat Stacey Abrams. In any other democracy, letting a man supervise his own election would be inconceivable. But that’s how it is in Georgia, and Kemp is abusing his power to the max. In recent years Kemp has purged millions of names from Georgia’s voting rolls, on dubious grounds. Finding himself in a close race despite these efforts, he tried to purge even more based on criteria so spurious that the courts have — for now — blocked his efforts. So over the weekend Kemp’s office issued a warning, with no evidence or specifics, that Democrats may have tried to hack the voter registration site.

A political party with any kind of commitment to democracy and fair play would treat Kemp as a pariah. Instead, he has the full support of the national G.O.P. And Georgia is far from unique. There have been similar if less spectacular attempts to rig the vote in Kansas and North Dakota, where would-be absentee voters were told that they had to use the right color ink — and were given conflicting information about what color was acceptable.

What about matters at the federal level? The executive branch doesn’t directly control the electoral process, but Trump has nonetheless engaged in an extraordinary abuse of power in the run-up to the vote: He has deployed large military forces to the Mexican border, at a likely cost to taxpayers in the hundreds of millions of dollars, in an obvious attempt to hype the supposed threat from a small, bedraggled caravan of refugees still more than 700 miles away. This deployment clearly serves no national interest; it’s a blatant misuse of the power of the presidency for partisan political advantage.

The lesson we learn from all these abuses of power is that today’s Republicans are just like their fellow white nationalists in Hungary and Poland, who have maintained a democratic facade but have in reality established one-party authoritarian regimes. Everything we’ve seen says that Republicans will do anything they can to take and hold power, and Tuesday’s elections may be the last chance to stop them from locking in permanent rule.

Oh, and in case you’re tempted to bothsides this: No, both sides don’t do it. Voting restrictions are almost entirely a Republican thing. As always, Democrats aren’t saints, but they appear to believe in democracy, while their opponents don’t."

We've seen absolutely no proof that Roy Moore, Paul Manafort or Rob Porter are in the caravan.'

Trump's is a demagogue who's deliberately lying and instilling fear among his cultists in the last days before the mid-term elections.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — President Trump is painting an astonishingly apocalyptic vision of America under Democratic control in the campaign’s final days, unleashing a torrent of falsehoods and portraying his political opponents as desiring crime, squalor and poverty.
As voters prepare to render their first verdict on his presidency in Tuesday’s midterm elections, Trump is claiming that Democrats want to erase the nation’s borders and provide sanctuary to drug dealers, human traffickers and MS-13 killers. He is warning that they would destroy the economy, obliterate Medicare and unleash a wave of violent crime that endangers families everywhere. And he is alleging that they would transform the United States into Venezuela with socialism run amok.
Trump has never been hemmed in by fact, fairness or even logic. The 45th president proudly refuses to apologize and routinely violates the norms of decorum that guided his predecessors. But at one mega-rally after another in the run-up to Tuesday’s midterm elections, Trump has taken his no-boundaries political ethos to a whole new level — demagoguing the Democrats in a whirl of distortion and using the power of the federal government to amplify his fantastical arguments.
In Columbia, Mo., the president suggested that Democrats “run around like Antifa” demonstrators in black uniforms and black helmets, but underneath they have “this weak little face” and “go back home into Mommy’s basement.”
In Huntington, W.Va., Trump called predatory immigrants “the worst scum in the world,” but alleged that Democrats welcome them by saying, “Fly right in, folks. Come on in. We don’t care who the hell you are, come on in!”
And in Macon, Ga., he charged that if Democrat Stacey Abrams is elected governor, she would take away Second Amendment right to bear arms — though as a state official she would not have the power to change the Constitution.
Unmoored from reality, Trump has at times become a false prophet, too. He has been promising a 10-percent tax cut for the middle class, though no such legislation exists. And he has sounded alarms over an imminent “invasion” of dangerous “illegal aliens,” referring to a caravan of Central American migrants that includes many women and children, is traveling by foot and is not expected to reach the U.S.-Mexico border for several weeks, if at all.

Sunday WTF? Blog

Trumpian far right Xtians are the first to tell you that Islam is not a religion but a political movement that is also a death cult.

There are over one billion Muslims on the planet, but the far right Xtians insist that all Muslims are "vermin," and that all Muslims want to kill all non-Muslims. The far right Xtians make no distinction between crazed fundamentalist Muslims who commit jihad in the name of Allah and the millions and millions of peaceful Muslims who go about their lives minding their own business and who have no desire to kill anyone.

The Muslim community in Pittsburgh came together and raised thousands of dollars for the families of the victims slaughtered by a far right crazed shooter. AFAIK, the above-mentioned Xtians made no mention of that act of human decency. That would've spoiled their narrative of the blood-thirsty "Moslem vermin" they love to demonize and whom they've said should be wiped off the face of the earth.

Those far right Xtians need to look at the splinter in their own eyes and see how some of their own kind -- a crazy fundamentalist kind --wish to commit genocide in the name of Christianity:

State Rep’s Outline For Killing Non-Believers In Holy War Is Referred To FBI

A Washington state lawmaker who moonlights as a wannabe theocrat has stumbled into FBI scrutiny over a how-to guide he wrote on killing non-believers and establishing a Christian theocracy.
Five-term Washington state Rep. Matt Shea has been circulating a manual for holy war in the United States, the Seattle Times reported.

The four-page document, titled “Biblical Basis for War,” goes point-by-point over how a Christian theocratic movement could – and should – exterminate its opposition in a battle to win a hypothetical holy war.

At the outset, Shea’s holy army would issue terms of surrender to its enemies. The demands include “stop all abortions,” “no same-sex marriage,” “no idolatry or occultism,” “no communism,” and “must obey Biblical law.”

If the rest of the country refuses to “yield” to these terms, the document advocates a final solution: “kill all males.”

bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbThis is the crackpot far right Xtian fundamentalist who is advocating genocide for non-believers in the name of his god. Sound familiar?

Isn't he the picture of an All-American-loving Christian? Wouldn't you let your daughter date this monster? Just by his looks? Clean-cut, good-looking, lovely smile. But
read what lurks in the rotting carrion of this far right Xtian's mind, and remember people voted for this person to represent them.

Matt Shea is a Xtian jihadist, and there are many more like him on the loose in America.

FILE UNDER "TRUMP IS A DUMBASS"

TRUMP IS AN INSPIRATION TO OTHER TOTALITARIAN NATIONS:

Nov. 2, 2018 16 DAKAR, Senegal — The Nigerian Army, part of a military criticized for rampant human rights abuses, on Friday used the words of President Trump to justify its fatal shootings of rock-throwing protesters.

Soldiers opened fire this past Monday on a march of about 1,000 Islamic Shia activists who had been blocking traffic in the capital, Abuja. Videos circulated on social media showed several protesters hurling rocks at the heavily armed soldiers who then shot fleeing protesters in the back.

The Nigerian military said three protesters were killed but the toll appears to have been much higher. Amnesty International as well as leaders of the protest said more than 40 people were killed at the march and two other smaller marches, with more than 100 wounded by bullets.

A Reuters reporter counted 20 bodies at the main march.

TRUMP LIES ABOUT BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP

WHAT TRUMP SAID

“Birthright citizens, in turn, can then bring their entire extended family into our country through chain migration. That’s another beauty. Chain migration. You come into the country, you’re, like, 2 months old and you’re going to take your brother, and your sister and your mother and your father. You’re going to bring them all.”

False. This is impossible. American citizens must be at least 21 before they are eligible to petition for their parents to live in the United States, and there is a long queue for family-sponsored immigration, or what the president labels chain migration. After a petition is filed and approved, would-be immigrants are given a so-called priority date and can apply for a green card only when the State Department calls it up. For example, this month, brothers and sisters of adult American citizens can begin to apply for a green card if their priority dates were before March 22, 2005 — a waiting period of more than 13 years.

HYPOCRISY ALERT!

Melania's parents were granted American citizenship through "chain migration."

Aug. 9, 2018:   President Trump has repeatedly and vehemently denounced what he calls “chain migration,” in which adult American citizens can obtain residency for their relatives.

On Thursday, his Slovenian in-laws, Viktor and Amalija Knavs, became United States citizens in a private ceremony in Manhattan by taking advantage of that same family-based immigration program.

Asked if the Knavses had obtained citizenship through “chain migration,” their lawyer, Michael Wildes, said, “I suppose.” He said chain migration is a “dirtier” way of characterizing what he called “a bedrock of our immigration process when it comes to family reunification.”

TRUMP:  Family unification for me, but NOT for thee.

The commenters on certain far right blogs call these people "Moslem vermin."

Wasi Mohamed is with Tarek El-Messidi.

I just wanted to say, thank you. Thank you to the over 5,500 donors who helped us raise over $225,000 for the victims and their families, so far. Thank you to the thousands who showed up to vigils, reached out to friends, donated blood, and made sure the Jewish community was embraced during this difficult time.
I quoted Quran 41:34 when I asked us all to respond to evil with good. I don’t think I fully understood the wisdom behind that until now. You do good deeds because the community needs it. Because the families need it. Because you need it. The money wasn’t just about covering the immediate costs, it was about spreading hope. Hope that our light will drive out the darkness.
The stories of Richard Gottfried, Rose Mallinger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Cecil Rosenthal, David Rosenthal, Bernice Simon, Sylvan Simon, Daniel Stein, Melvin Wax, Irving Younger, Officer Timothy Matson, Officer Michael Smidga, Officer Daniel Mead, Officer Anthony Burke, Officer John Persin, Officer Tyler Pashel, Andrea Wedner, and Daniel Leger, as well as the story of love shown between the Muslim and Jewish communities, are lights we should look to in the darkness of this tragedy.
Building solidarity was important, now we have to sustain it. We have set up meetings between faith leaders and lay leaders, political leaders and educators, and anybody who needs to be in the room to ensure that we continue to build on this moment of unity.
My good friend Ernest suggested that when you feel like all is lost, read Dr. King's Letter from Birmingham Jail. “We are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.” We must read this, and we must internalize it. Pittsburgh has not achieved solidarity, to claim as much would simply not be truthful for many marginalized communities. What can be said is that we cannot waste this opportunity to move towards it.
If we take Dr. King's words to heart, we realize that the shooting in the Lincoln-Lemington neighborhood is not just a shooting in Lincoln-Lemington, but a shooting in our Pittsburgh community. The loss of a father in East Liberty is our loss. We feel the pain of his wife and 7 children. We mourn the two killed in Kentucky as we would mourn our own brothers and sisters.
To support the victims from the shooting at Tree of Life Synagogue, visit: https://www.launchgood.com/…/muslims_unite_for_pittsburgh_s…
To support the family of AbdulGaniyu Sanusi, the father killed in East Liberty, visit: https://www.launchgood.com/…/funeral_costs_and_family_suppo…
To support the families of Vickie Jones and Maurice Stallard, the victims of the hate crime in Kentucky, visit: https://www.launchgood.com/…/muslims_united_for_kentucky_vi…
Though we mourn in this time of loss, let us look to the future with hope. May we honor those we have lost by moving forward together to build a bridge to a better Pittsburgh, a better nation, and a better world.

How the Goopers hang on to power: THEY CHEAT THROUGH VOTER SUPPRESSION

Infidel753 stated in the comments below that America is a Liberal/Progressive country.

The GOP's stranglehold on state governorships has allowed it to suppress the minority vote.

Here's just one example:

"With Election Day approaching, an odd little story from Dodge City, Kansas, made headlines in The New York Times and The Washington Post last week. Local elections officials in the Wild West outpost of yore, now a meatpacking center that’s majority-Latino, had moved their lone voting place outside the city limits, more than a mile from the nearest bus stop, as anti-immigration crusader Kris Kobach—the state elections chief—was fighting off a strong Democratic challenge in his quest for the governorship.

The whole controversy seemed so obviously outlandish—the kind of over-the-top effort to deter voters of color that could only happen in the Deep South or Kobach’s Kansas—that it’s no wonder the story was catnip for national reporters. While another secretary of state overseeing his own election for governor, Kobach’s Georgia ally Brian Kemp, had been garnering scrutiny for months with his massive “purges” of registered black voters, and while reports on the perils of voter ID laws have become numbingly familiar, the Dodge City tale offered a colorful twist on the theme of race-based voter suppression. The Times editors couldn’t resist a cheeky headline for this saga: “To Cast Their Ballots, These Voters Will Have to Get Out of Dodge.”

But the only unusual thing about this story was that it made news at all. Over the past decade, Republican elections officials have been shuttering polling places in minority neighborhoods, low-income districts, and on college campuses at a feverish pace. When Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, the U.S. had more than 132,000 polling places; by the time Donald Trump ascended to the White House, eight years later, more than 15,000 of them had been closed nationwide. After 2013, when the U.S. Supreme Court basically lifted federal Voting Rights Act oversight from states that were particularly notorious for racial discrimination in elections—including Arizona, Georgia, Indiana, and Texas—the pace of poll closures went into hyperdrive. Thanks to Shelby County v. Holder, if you ran elections in a majority-black county in Georgia, or a booming Latino neighborhood in Houston, you no longer had to ask the Department of Justice to approve a change in where people could vote, or to prove the intent wasn’t discriminatory. […]"

Here's the "small protest" Trump said he and Melania didn't see when he was in Pittsburgh

The good people of Pittsburgh didn't want him there. Trump is not a comforter. Trump is a malignant cur who makes sorrow and heartache worse.
