Read on instagram about a new website called womeninstem.us dedicated to posting/housing all the women's bios that had been deleted from all STEM related fields. From the post I read there is great support from not only the USA but international as well.
Telling isn't it that just talking about the accomplishments made by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and women is enough to send Nat C's/MAGA into a tizzy. As if only White men invented anything, as if they did everything all themselves without any help at all (except.... and you can fill in the rest because behind every over confident mediocre white male is a battalion of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and women who did all the heavy lifting).
And yet he hired the first women as the head of NASA. Do you think his intent is to put everyone on a equal footing and not give special interest groups special consideration. Sounds like women would rally around his approach because for decades they wanted to be treated and paid just like their male counterparts. As of two minutes ago bio's of women who are in positions of authority are still on the NASA website. All mention of the stories of employees, specifically women, posted on the site in an effort to show little girls they have representation has been removed. I was not clear in my first comment. It could be too that the site was court ordered to be reinstated. I don't have all the facts from behind the scenes.
Grey, I do not like any aspect of DEI because it stands for discrimination. I am not in favor of discrimination in anything for any reason. DEI is a program that promotes discrimination. Hire the best candidate you can find for the job you are trying to fill. I will assume you favor selecting people based on the boxes they check which will discriminate against someone who may be the best selection but doesn't check a box.

For the record (again to the power of I'll repeat it until you get it) I want the best person for the job whomever that turns out to be. It is historical fact that antidiscrimination laws were and are again necessary because the perfect person up until the laws passage was ALWAYS a White Christian (sometimes Jewish if they could "pass") male.
