Well, my 10 friends and their families in Canada are very supportive and thankful for their healthcare--to the point of pitying us in the U.S. One person had prostate cancer, two had breast cancer and one's husband was in the last stages of dementia. No problems with getting an appointment or getting treated. Could it be improved? Of course! Oh, and my brother in law in Virginia who was diagnosed with prostrate cancer in early December, could not get an appointment to start preparing for radiation treatments until the end of February. Another brother in law in Michigan was having disturbing and frightening neurological issues. This was in September. He could not get in to see his neurologist until January. Yup, healthcare in the U.S. is superb if you are healthy!!
I worked with a fellow manager who has family in Canada. They love their HC system and had little negative to say about their government or life in Canada.

Both of us knew/know and could/can sing Canada's national anthem. That was part of being a Bostonian and enjoying hockey games between the Habs and the Broonz.
