God Told Him To Do It

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker entered the presidential race yesterday because God told him to do it!

So, Wisconsin TGOPers and anyone else who thinks he should be preznit, you trust someone who hears voices telling him it's God talking?  When prelates hear voices that's supposed to be a revelation, when lay people hear voices telling them to do something, well, it's usually caused by something else.

"Wisconsin State Representative Mandela Barnes posted this story on his facebook page last night.

Three things you need to know in advance:

 1. The Wisconsin Governor held a rally yesterday to reveal that God commanded him to run for president.

 2. Mandela Barnes is a Democrat.

 3. Mandela Barnes is black."

So Walker's team thought Representative Barnes would help the campaign by lending his Negro-ness to the stage as proof of Walker's diversity/inclusiveness. Yeah.  Until they realized he was a Democrat and not willing to sell himself to the phonies.  That's when he was asked to leave.

Great way to begin a presidential campaign:  Telling everyone you hear god voices in your head and trying to recruit an African-American as a stage prop.

Stay tuned for more T-GOP outreach!

I've lost count Grandpa. But I think they have enough now to start their own country.

Apparently Walker's Wisconsin voters have had a snootful of his policies:
"While Iowa Republicans might be excited by the prospect of a Walker presidency, there’s a nearby state where people are less fond of Walker: Wisconsin. The latest job approval numbers on Walker out of his state had him at a pitiful 41 percent in a pair of April polls. His disapproval number in one poll by St. Norbert College, Wisconsin Public Radio, and Wisconsin Public Television was 58 percent, and in the same poll 59 percent of Wisconsin adults didn’t even want him to run for president. In that survey a full 60 percent of respondents said he would make a “poor” or “not so good” president, including 44 percent who went with the former."
---and we note that he trails Hillary Clinton in WI by 12 points. If God told him
to run, God made a mistake.

Maybe Walker will run as Donald's veep?

That's a perfect ticket! "Fart/Walker."

"Trump" in British slang is "fart."

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R) signed the new state budget into law on Sunday with a last-minute change that strips the words "living wage" from state laws and replaces it with "minimum wage."

The change means minimum-wage Wisconsin workers will earn nearly $6,000 per year less than what the Massachusetts Institute of Technology calculates is a living wage in the state. And they will have no recourse, according to the Center for American Progress. MIT says a living wage would be $10.13 an hour.

The new law eliminates the ability of low-wage workers to appeal for a living wage. Previously, Wisconsin law stated that employee pay "shall be not less than a living wage," defined as "adequate to permit any employee to maintain herself or himself in minimum comfort, decency, physical and moral well-being." Wisconsin's living wage was tied to the state minimum wage, currently $7.25 an hour.

What a guy! Keeping the workers of America in poverty for the Koch Brothers. God told this guy to run for the presidency so he can screw more workers? Who was the god who spoke to Walker? A golden calf?

If you want a vision of what the future under a Walker/Koch administration would be, it is this:

A boot stamping on a human face - forever.

Walker is unliked in his home state and he's sticking it to the working men and women so they can't possibly appeal for a living wage? What ungodly thing for a governor to do to his own citizens. He deserves all the bad polling he's getting, and more. He may win Iowa, but not much else. He's an unappealing little Koch sock puppet.

From the other black individuals in the crowd I doubt he was asked to leave because of his skin tone may have been because he was from the other side and a spy. After the sneak attack on Romney the republicans are probably guarded.

As to the people in his home state not liking him. Keep in mind that polls are slanted to the questions asked. Wisconsin public radio and TV is hardly a representation of the general populace, it does lean a little left. After boatloads of outside money came into the state to defeat his recall he still won.

Gramps,
It will probably be an even 100 by the time the first primary rolls around. If they opened up the debate for all candidates they would need Jerry Jones Memorial auditorium to hold them all.
On the other side, the Democratic debate can be held in a phone booth.

The GOP unquestionably has better candidates than God's Own Scott Walker. I know of at least half a dozen lifelong WI Republicans who will be voting
Democratic from now on. (One of them was a Walker operative for awhile)

Zeus came to me in a dream and told me to run for president and seek out a Kardashian as a running mate.

BB-I, Walker's running on breaking unions, deep cuts in education, no minimum wage, and getting rid of weekends?

I can understand why regular working people would shun him.

Not to worry. He'll never be president either.

Shaw Kenawe said...

RN, your running for president is fine, a Kardashian as veep? Clothed or unclothed?

Les Carpenter said...

Zeus didn't specify so I guess either would be fine. :-)

Yeah Trumka is livid because he likes lining his pockets and donating to democrats by confiscating those union dues from hard working Americans

As a Brit, I do feel sorry for you poor Americans. In my country, people hearing the voices tend to get sectioned for the protection of the public; in yours they seem to stand for office. Oh dear.

Probably more decent people might be pleased that a candidate believes he's not the highest power and believes in his heart God wants him to run. Or maybe you feel Kardashian and RN are much better choices.
And you wonder who should be shunned? WOW.

Shaw Kenawe said...

More decent people?

It's curious, isn't it, Anon, that it is ONLY the GOPers who hear God tell them they should run for president.

Could that possibly have anything to do with pandering to the evangelical base?

It's hubristic for these GOP candidates to go around bragging that God talks to them about their political careers or "fingers" them to be president.

It reduces a god to a silly meddler in political affairs.

Try to understand the difference between a joke (RN and the Kardashians) and fake religiosity: God telling only GOPers that he wants them to be preznit.

Richard T,

Republican God speaks only to GOPers on the matter of running for the presidency. Maybe He should be the head of the RNC, and not obvious anagram, Reince Priebus.

A true Gooper, Scott Walker. Go after those lousy poors who rely on food stamps! Did your god tell you to do that too? Let's hear what Jesus said about making poor people even more miserable than they already are!

"Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, one of many Republicans seeking their party's presidential nomination, is suing the federal government over his plan to make some food stamp recipients pee in cups to prove they're not on drugs.

Federal law doesn't give states much room to impose new conditions on Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. The program is known informally by its former name, food stamps, and in Wisconsin it's called FoodShare.

“This lawsuit seeks to provide clarity that the State of Wisconsin has the authority to require drug testing for FoodShare recipients,” Wisconsin Attorney General Brad Schimel said in a press release on Tuesday.

While federal law doesn't allow states to impose drug tests on SNAP recipients, it does allow states to drug test and in general make up their own rules for the much smaller Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, which serves about 4 million Americans. Roughly 46 million Americans receive SNAP benefits."

the Fourth Amendment is really pretty simple:

1. The government can't search citizens or seize anything from them without probable cause that they have committed a crime.

2. Drug tests are a form of search and seizure of bodily fluids.

3. Receiving government benefits doesn't show probable cause that someone is on drugs.

4. Therefore, the government can't drug test people simply because they receive government benefits.

Besides, oil companies receive federal monies in the form of subsidies. Would Walker insist the CEO's of oil companies or any company receiving government susidies be forced to pee in a cup to make sure those big wigs aren't using drugs. Afterall, they're more like to be able to afford them.
