The Iran Deal: Clinton vs. Trump

Serious vs. Clown:

From Politico:

The contrasts were stark. She [Hillary Clinton] spoke inside a windowless think tank auditorium, from a podium and with a teleprompter. Chilled water and a conversation in upholstered chairs awaited nearby. Her address was substantive, serious and staid. “Is it perfect? Well, of course not. No agreement like this ever is,” she said of the Iran deal. “But is it a strong agreement? Yes it is.”

He [Donald Trump] spoke in the beating midday heat before a raucous, tea party-organized rally of more than 1,000 at the foot of the Capitol. He flashed a thumbs up as supporters screamed “Donald!” and waved pro-Trump signs. “Never ever, ever in my life have I seen any transaction so incompetently negotiated as our deal with Iran,” he said. “And I mean never.”

This was Clinton in her element, and Trump in his. She offered a detailed policy defense of the Iran deal. He inveighed against it with insults. She lectured. He hectored. “Diplomacy is not the pursuit of perfection. It is the balancing of risk.” Clinton explained.

“We are led by very, very stupid people,” said Trump. “Very, very stupid people. We cannot let it continue.”

Trump continued to say absolutely NOTHING and continued to impress the people who love candidates who insult, hector, taunt, and say ABSOLUTELY NOTHING:

Trump, unsurprisingly, stole the show. “We will have so much winning if I get elected that you may get bored with winning. Believe me,” Trump said to loud cheers. “I agree: You’ll never get bored with winning!”

Trump is the personification of a demagogue:

dem·a·gogue ˈdeməˌɡäɡ/

noun a political leader who seeks support by appealing to popular desires and prejudices rather than by using rational argument.

synonyms: rabble-rouser, agitator, political agitator, soapbox orator, firebrand, fomenter, provocateur

There it is nation.  The TGOP want a thrice-married, rabble-rousing clown, who made fun of a POW, who insulted an entire country and its culture, who denigrated not just Megyn Kelly with his menstruation taunts, but Carly Fiorini's looks, to represent them.

Trump insults Carly Fiorini's looks:

"Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our nextpresident?!" the magazine quotes Trump as saying while he and his staff watch a television appearance by Fiorina. "I mean, she's a woman, and I'm not s'posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?"

Jeebus, Mary and Joe Pepitone!  Can you imagine what this blatherskite would say about Germany's Angela Merkel? Imagine Trump making insulting remarks about female heads of state?!  But more to the point:  Who are the minnow-brained clotpoles who support this national embarrassment?

Wait. I know.  They're the people who have feasted on hatred and bigotry ever since November of 2008, and they now have a perfect candidate to represent all they stand for.

Trump isn't anything new on the world's political stage.  Just ask the Italians.

Donald Trump:  The Don Rickles of politicians.

Every time he insults a woman, millions of guys say, 'Yeah! The bitch (or worse obscenity describing a woman) deserves it!' And millions more think it, but don't say it. And some of those who once wouldn't say it, enabled by Trump on the national political stage, will now say it out loud.

The knuckle-draggers on far right blogs (and even the ones who own those blogs) love to hear the little boys in short pants who post their call woman names all the time, it's how they roll. So we're not surpriu;sed that Trump would do the same. The GOP is anti-woman, and Trump shows it by making fun of another woman.

Donald Trump told a bunch of people he'd take care of women's health better than Hillary Clinton! This is his detailed plan to take care of women's health:

Donald Trump pledged Thursday that supporting women’s health will be “a very major thing” in his presidential campaign.

“I will take care of women’s health and women’s health issues better than anybody and far better than Hillary Clinton, who doesn’t have a clue,” he told reporters after an afternoon rally here.

Details schmeatails! Who needs them. Not lthe TeaParty. They just like to hear Donald tell them pretty stuff like "I'm gonna build a beautiful wall with a beautiful door!" and "I'm gonna replace Obamacare with something terrific." And I'm gonna be better at women's health than Hillalry!

These are inspiring plans from a 10 year old! And the Pee-Party loves that level of intelligence!

Trump attacked Fiorini's face, not her "persona." Trump is a low-life cad who says rotten things about people in his own party then lies about what he said when what he said is clearly on the record. A woman's face is not her "persona."

All you have to do is listen to the utter asininity of what comes out of Trump's mouth to understand why he's such a hit with the low-info, low-intelligence Tea Party people. They think he's hit a nerve in the American people. No. He's made a hit with 30% of the voters of the Republican Party. That ain't "the American people." That's a small percentage of easily fooled wackos. Sensible, thinking people know that Donald Trump is a bellicose sack of fumes.

Frankly, I would gladly exchange our mindless “middle finger” Republicans for a few grateful refugees, who can better appreciate the blessings of stable government and the freedom to pursue life, liberty, and happiness without fear of persecution. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free …”

And send back our coarse, our crass, our crude “middle finger” Republicans in exchange.

the far righties think liberals are afraid of Trump whose "plans" for America if he's president will be a beautiful wall that Mexico will pay for to keep all the HIspanic rapists out, something "terrific" that will replace Obamacare, and hundreds of playboy bunnies running around the west wing because that's all women are good for--for Donald to oogle and fantasize over, and certainly not Carly Fiorini's face! Imagine Carly Fiorini's FACE in the White House! Who would want to see that? Maybe Trump will have his daughter as the White House Centerfold instead of his wife because Donald said if Ivanka wasn't his daughter, he'd like to date her. Imagine a father having those thoughts about his own daughter. That's who the cons think we're "afraid" of: A gigantic asshat who makes fun of POWs and attacks people in his own party and fantasizes about "dating" his own daughter and talks about her figure.

He the perfect representative of the dying GOWPP [Grand Old White People Party].

What Octopus said. And more. The far right that's taken over the GOP has shown itself to be a party in favor of a theocracy not a democracy/ Huckabee and Cruz are Dominionists who would like nothing better than to turn this country over to mega churches, so long as they get a cut of the billions of dollars that they suck out of the willing deluded.

Trump has no values except promoting himself and making money. The Tea Party is unbelievably hypocritical in supporting him. He's flip-flopped more than Mittens ever did, and no one really knows what he stands for--except himself. His speeches are all about him and nothing of substance is ever said. Clinton, whether you like her or not, made a thoughtful, substantive speech the other day on the Iran deal, and Trump attacked Fiorini's face then said the Iran deal was incompetent. We can bet Trump never even read the details, and his fans don't care as long as he keeps insulting everyone--especially women--and giving the finger to the world. This is the man, married three times and supported abortion, the very religious Tea Party thinkls is the best choice for president of the US? As long as he acts like a 10-year old school yard bully, he's AOK with with Tea Party.

Donald Trump the perv who lusts after his own daughter:

"Donald Trump has a tendency to make incredibly uncomfortable remarks about his daughter, Ivanka Trump- specifically about her beauty and her figure. In a recent interview with RollingStone, he doubled down on the creepiness:

At 69, he can still carry on like the teen who was yanked out of prep school and delivered to Col. Dobias, the take-no-sh*t instructor at the military academy. After I [the interviewer] met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, “Yeah, she’s really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father . . . ”

Please do not ever finish that sentence, Mr. Trump. In the past, he has remarked several times that “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.” In addition to being an ignorant, egotistical racist, it appears we can add “lecherous pervert” to the lengthy list of reasons why he cannot ever come even close to the White House."

-of course not. The cycle would be broken by Trump and we would have very, very, very, very, very stupid people. How did he make it into the gene pool, let alone politics, anyhoo?

"How did he make it into the gene pool, let alone politics, anyhoo?"

Years and years ago, when I attended town meeting in our little town in New England, a member of the school committee told the town meeting why he should be re-elected. He said that stupid people needed representation too. I swear I'm not making this up. He served on the school committee! And, I believe, this is the only explanation for Trump's ascendency in politics: Stupid people need representation in the race for the presidency too!

We must remember that Trump has promised that he'll be terrific and we'll be winning, winning, winning. That's his plan.

From Little Green Footballs:

"With his blue tie loosened and slung over his shoulder, Trump sits back to digest his meal and provide a running byplay to the news. Onscreen, they’ve cut away to a spot with Scott Walker, the creaky-robot governor of Wisconsin. Praised by the anchor for his “slow but steady” style, Walker is about to respond when Trump chimes in, “Yeah, he’s slow, all right! That’s what we got already: slowwww.” His staffers at the conference table howl and hoot; their man, though, is just getting warm. When the anchor throws to Carly Fiorina for her reaction to Trump’s momentum, Trump’s expression sours in schoolboy disgust as the camera bores in on Fiorina. “Look at that face!” he cries. “Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!” The laughter grows halting and faint behind him. “I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posedta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?”

Ugly stuff indeed. But will it hurt Trump’s standing with the Republican base? I doubt it. This is exactly what they like about him; his meanness. His viciousness. His unapologetic embrace of the most repulsive aspects of being a Republican presidential candidate."

Repulsive is the exact adjective to describe Trump and his supporters.
