#45 claimed Thursday that his top intelligence officials were "misquoted" and "taken out of context" when they publicly broke with some of his core foreign policy views during congressional testimony earlier this week.

Individual One also said that, Chris Wray, Gina Haspel, and Dan Coats characterized the media’s reporting of their testimony as fake news. Ya just gotta laugh when millions, saw those three testify on Tuesday. Does #45 really think we would believe his unbelievable statement?

Washington (CNN) President Donald Trump claimed Thursday that his intelligence chiefs, including Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats and CIA Director Gina Haspel, told him that they were misquoted when they publicly contradicted him during public on-camera testimony.

He made the claim a day after he tweeted that "Intelligence should go back to school!"

"They said they were totally misquoted and totally taken out of context," Trump said when asked by CNN if he raised the testimony with Coats and Haspel during his daily briefing on Thursday.

Dear friends, the POTUS is clearly non compos mentis. We all heard LIVE what HIS intel people said during the televised hearing. There was no "fake news." #45 wants us to disbelieve what we heard with our own ears.

He's nuts. We all know that. Except for his 20 percenters.

Likely never. It requires intelligence and character. Need any more be said?

Why isn’t chump talking about the Saudi teen who killed a girl in Oregon but he will talk for weeks about an undocumented from the southern border who killed an American??? Chump is the one who made it possible for that teen to escape, put in a government SUV, onto a private plane and back to Saudi Arabia. Chumps besties

I watched him talking about this on the news, I had also heard the exact testimony of the intelligence chiefs, it was really one of the weirdest things I've ever seen, about 40 of the 100 weirdest things I've ever seen involve this man pretending to be President.

If you think this is the right guy to lead this country I don't really need to associate with you. It's gone far beyond politics and disagreeing, it is at the very soul of us as a nation and people. I guess it's a matter of waiting it out and we'll see how stuff starts to fall into place.

Do you think the words "fake news" have ever left Gina Haspel or for that matter General Nakasone's mouth?

It is easy to vilify djt and the republican party because they are disgusting. What have the democrats done to move immigration reform forward, protect the country, make DACA permanent instead of the weak kneed deferred program that The leader started. The republicans are all about spending on silly things and the democrats are all about socialism. We really do need another choice that will reward success and go back to the American Dream, work hard and you can be successful.
The party of hate now has a racist socialist, a couple of anti-Semitic congress people, a child prostitute beater, an indian giver and a serial adulteress. The party of hate seems to now stand for the party of Free For All.

skudrunner, Correct me if I'm wrong but I do believe there are likely many people in democratic socialist countries that are very successful. Our own country is in fact a mixed economy. A combination of free market capitalism and socialism. Along with the myriad regulations that the folks we vote into office have put in place.

It's not whether we are somewhat socialistic. It is rather a matter of degree. Fortunately we're not Venezuela.

RN, The platform of the democratic has gone from being the party of the working class to the party of the free everything class.
The republicans have gone from the party of the middle class to the party of controlling individual choices.
Both parties pander to the rich while saying they work for the taxpayer and they both bow to the lobbyist class so they can be richer.

skudrunner, there is some truth in what you say. I say this because political parties, made up of basically like minded people, act quite often (if not always) in their own party's self interest. So again, there is some truth in what you say.

Having said that, the Republican party today is very much less representative of our national values and interest than the Democratic party. It is my educated opinion that the Democratic party is most likely to preserves the principals embodied in the Declaration of Independence AND our Constitution.

I could be wrong, but, given the present realities I highly doubt it.
