CADET BONE SPURS

Everyone is laughing at this. He deserves all the ridicule he gets:

Here's Cadet Bone Spurs bragging about his act of courage when an elderly man fell and bled in front of him:

via Digby:

I was at Mar-a-Lago and we had this incredible ball, the Red Cross Ball, in Palm Beach, Florida. And we had the Marines. And the Marines were there, and it was terrible because all these rich people, they’re there to support the Marines, but they’re really there to get their picture in the Palm Beach Post… so you have all these really rich people, and a man, about 80 years old—very wealthy man, a lot of people didn’t like him—he fell off the stage.

Trump explained that this was a $100K-per-table fundraiser at his Mar-a-Lago estate and the Marines, he admitted, were given "the worst table in the whole place" at the very back of the room in the corner.

When the old man fell in front of Trump, there were two completely different responses---one from the Marines, and one from Trump:

The Marines ran up front, picked up the man, covered in blood, and formed a human stretcher to carry him out.

Then there was Donald Trump: And you know what I did? I said, ‘Oh my God, that’s disgusting,’ and I turned away,” said Trump. “I couldn’t, you know, he was right in front of me and I turned away. I didn’t want to touch him… he’s bleeding all over the place. I felt terrible, you know, beautiful marble floor, didn’t look like it. It changed color. Became very red....His wife is screaming—she’s sitting right next to him, and she’s screaming. I was saying “Get that blood cleaned up! It’s disgusting!”

Here's Captain Bravado who shrank in terror from a bird:

Here's Captain Courageous at a rally in Ohio when someone yelled GUN! and didn't point one at him:

While this is about the funniest thing that Trump has ever said, not even the best comedian in the world would have ever said this as part of a joke about Trump because nobody would have thought that there was a chance in hell that Trump would have ever said something so unbelievable. Every joke needs some believability.

Of course, now they all will be saying it.

Jerry, trump is the classic cowardly blowhard. What's makes his recent claim even funnier is that everyone, even his fans, know he's a fat-assed coward. He's afriad to eat anything but fast food because he's afraid of being poisoned. He's germaphobic, he's afraid of stairs, he's afraid of people seeing him without his elaborate coif, IOW, he's a big fat scardy cat.

Why does he make himself such an easy target? The comedians will have a blast with this lastest idiocy from trump.

Ms. Shaw, president Trumps successes is really grating on you...isnt it.

Trump is a blowhard who uses macho language without giving any thought to the reality it implies.

There was, in fact, a man on the scene who actually did exactly what Trump describes -- the football coach, Aaron Feis, who did run into the building as soon as he heard the gunshots, and put himself in danger helping students to safety and even acting as a human shield, even though he was killed doing so, as he must have known would happen. Obviously, it's utterly impossible to imagine Trump actually doing such a thing. The contrast speaks for itself.

The story from Digby is chilling, but typical of the behavior of the extreme narcissist. Other people's feelings and sufferings are simply not real to him.

Anonymous thinks a president with a 35% approval rating and who's never polled over 50% in a brand new presidency is a "success."

Also does Anon think a new president under criminal investigation by the FBI is a rolicking success, too?

I am laughing so hard, it hurts.

The wing nuts are hilarious.

skudrunner said...

Maybe he can qualify for ADA.
There are all kinds of reasons for not serving in the armed forces. He was of age during Vietnam and he decided to use a medical deferment instead of leaving the country and attending Oxford.
GWB was the last president to serve and the press tried to fry him for his service, which was distinguished.

Ms, Shaw, are you and your chums here enjoying your tax relief? Were any of you the ones who received a bonus? If you have a 401K you must be doing cartwheels. Were any of the folks here part of the two million who joined the work force?

Jerry Critter said...

As is typical with wing nuts, Anonymous’ comment is not a defense of what Trump said, but an attack on what you, not even specifically on what you said. They only can attack the people who speak the truth about Trump.

Anonymous said...

Sorry Jerry, but the economic boom we are now enjoying is a direct result of Trumps policies. Anyone with any sense could see what lowering the corporate tax and reforming income tax has added fuel to the economy

Shaw Kenawe said...

Jerry, they're to be pitied. It takes a special kind of cement head to believe a presidency as disastrous as Trump's is a "success." If trump is such a successful, admired president, why is he polling at 35%? What the wing nuts like Anonymous don't seem to realize is that 65% percent, TWO THIRDS OF THE COUNTRY! think Trump sucks. Anon may be able to sell the absolute fantasty of Trump's success to his fellow Trupistas, but here we actually live in the real world.

skudrunner said...

The result of polls are driven by the questions asked and the area selected. As we have seen in the defeat of the princess by the dragon polls can be wrong. Ask do you think DJT is a good president and the vast majority of American's will answer no but change that do you think trumps economic policies are good for the country and the majority would be yes. Why don't the leftist poll takers do a poll in the middle America where the majority of middle class Americans live. The results will not be an astounding support for trump but not as dismal as the cnn poll says.

I don't think anon realizes that people on most liberal blogs do not benefit from the trump tax policy. They are extremely rich or poor and are coasties where state taxes take away most of the benefits of the fed tax cut.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud, just because trump has rotten poll numbers, it doesn't mean it's only "leftist" poll takers doing the tracking. You don't seem to grasp what polling is. Trump's AVERAGE polling numbers have been in the low to middle 30s for months. The average is taken from dozens of polls -- even those that are skewed to the right, like Rassmussen. A cross-section of Americans from all areas of the country are polled. You just don't like the results and so it appears you think somehow the polls are fixed. They're not. They're an accurate reflextion of how the country feels about the disaster in the White House.

Giving one's opinion on the POTUS is not the same as telling an opinion poll who you'll be voting for. (Also, the polls very well could have been correct about Hillary winning. It looks like the Russians stepped in and put Cadet Bone Spurs in office.)

As for your dig at coasties and liberal states. WE do have higher taxes than say, West Virginia or Mississippi. But we also have better education outcomes, better health outcomes, and better overall satisfaction on quality of life issues. We also have fewer deaths by firearms. IOW, you get what you pay for. Low taxes = low quality of life.

Check out the 10 worst states to live in. They're all run by Republicans.

Sorry Skud, but a 20% reduction in corporate tax does in fact benefit everyone.

skudrunner is a typical right winger who's embarrassed that TRump is his parties' president so he changes the subject and pretends it's Hillary fault and not the idiots who voted for Trump.

I seem to remember a certain president unable to walk with other world leaders and having to take a golf cart up a small hill. That same president believes the human body only has so much energy in it and exercise uses it up too quickly.

For another view of presidential fitness, let's look to former White House photographer, Pete Souza.

the days our president could actually run

Trump may be the least physically fit president since Nixon or Johnson. I doubt he's running anywhere.

Dave Miller said...

Skud... GWB hardly served with distinction.

He was a member of the Air National Guard, never saw combat and was stationed stateside. Ask the thousands of ppl who went to Vietnam if GWB's service was distinguished. Those types of comments diminish the real sacrifice of those who went, died, returned home maimed for life and served in theater in what was one of the worst wars we ever waged.

He's a Vet, and for that, I give him props, but don't compare his service with that of his dad which was truly "distinguished."

Dave Miller said...

Anon... the verdict is still out on the effects of the recent changes to tax policy by the GOP and Pres. Trump.

No one, not one credible source, believes it will lower the deficit, a core GOP policy for years. Until now. As conservatives have said for years, the bill for the deficit will in fact come due one day. The question is why now, after years of refusing to support Democratic and liberal spending ideas to stimulate the economy, have conservatives embraced deficit spending?

Look it up... us silly libs will wait here in silence while you post the links from any recognized economists that show the GOP/President Bone Spur's tax cuts will not increase the deficit.

So I guess cnn is not left leaning, interesting and something I didn't know.
From what I hear the next cnn poll is going to be conducted in Moscow and ask who did you vote for the the US presidential election. It has been established that Russia did some cyber advertising against -H-. What the left needs to recognize is she lost, russia didn't influence the results, she was a terrible candidate. Instead of probing something that happened the dems would be better off finding an acceptable candidate. Whoever it is will not be running DJT so choose wisely. I saw a poll that said if the election was repeated today, the -H- still would have lost. But polls can indicate anything the pollster wants it to.

To answer Skud, I'm a liberal, live on the East Coast (mid-Atlantic actually), neither rich nor poor. I'm netting about $120.00 a month extra due to the tax bill. That is no small potatoes for me. But guess what? I'd give it all up and then some, if it would help get that sorry excuse of a human being out of the White House. In fact, I went out to lunch with some co workers yesterday (something that used to be a weekly thing, now because of our budgets and lack of salary increases is now down to lunch out once every two or three months). Every single person said they would gladly give up the extra income from the tax bill (and in some cases would take a pay CUT), if that would mean Trump would no longer occupy the White House.

Possumlady, I think you need to credit president wonderful for eight years of lack of salary increases. There are a significant number of people who will differ with you on giving up their tax break. The previous administration we had a wildly popular president who was all about the special interest groups and against the middle class and small business. As a person he was OK. He was a very weak leader but was popular. The current administration is just the opposite. Very unpopular but working for the middle class and small business. As a middle class business owner and from middle America I support his policies but not him. The supported the previous president as a person but not as a leader.

Dave, what spending policies were not supported? One trillion to buy some old cars, several billion to keep NK in check, hundreds of millions to help Iran with their nuclear arms production, massive additions to welfare roles. What is it that wasn't done.
If I am not mistaken GWB received an honorable discharge something that wasn't presented to three out of four of the last presidents. The media tried to fry GWB for his service but that didn't work well for them, unlike swiftboat.

skud,
You missed it by about $997 billion. $3 billion was spent on Cash for Clunkers. Oh well, what the hell. You’re only 33233% off.

Skud... the relief after the recession was never big enough to jump start the economy, almost every credible economist will admit to that. But that being said, the TARP plan was enacted by the Bush Admin, not President Obama. And for the most part, it included massive debt growing tax cuts, a favorite of the GOP.

As the Obama Admin proposed ideas for economic stimulus, the GOP held fast and opposed almost every initiative that was offered. Yes, you are right that the Obama Admin did little to curtail NK, but in fairness, neither did the two previous admins and to date, neither has Trump. Short of all our war, that problem is not going away soon and it is neither exclusively a GOP or Dem issue. Refusal to see that is just a partisan reality for ppl who are more interested in scoring points than seeing reality.

As for GWB's service record, yes, he received an honorable discharge. So did my brother who actually saw combat in Vietnam. But he would never say his record was distinguished. It was his duty, pure and simple. I stand by my view that to see GWB's service as distinguished, as you said, diminishes the ppl who actually served on the front lines.

Speaking for the middle class, I too am middle class. And I'm alive today because I was finally able to get health insurance because of Pres Obama and his belief that health care should be available to all, even those of us with pre existing conditions. The simple fact is no Republican ever stood up, or proposed a way for people like me to be able to get affordable health insurance and in fact, in the recent attempts to repeal Obamacare, have worked to roll back that ability.

Dervish Sanders said...

Remember bush went AWOL. I wouldn't call that honorable. Russia absolutely influenced the results. That was the point. As for the verdict being out regarding the tax cuts... I think that's right. We don't know how much damage they are going to cause yet.

Well, skud, it would be easy to blame Obama but knowing absolutely nothing about my organization, it would be false. It was a perfect storm of events that led to years of no salary increases. It started after the recession hit that was brought about by GWB. Then the board of my organization decided to hire an academic as the CEO in 2010. Big mistake as they had absolutely NO business experience. In six months time, the new CEO let go the in house IT department and hired an outside firm that cost us 100's of thousands of dollars (and they were horrible). The new CEO also decided to stop paying matching funds into our 403(b) accounts and made us take 5 furlough days in 2011. On top of that, our big money maker being our annual conference, was not making that much money any more since the advent of social media, folks in my industry don't feel the need to meet once a year to learn new things and meet people since that can all be done online now.

But, we hired a new CEO in 2013, someone with academic experience AND an MBA and we are slowly turning the corner. Last year we got a 2% increase, this year 3-4% increase. And, no, it was not the Trump economy that helped us. Fresh thinking and different business models did.

Dave, a trillion wasted is not enough. For all the jobs the stimulus created it like a billion a job and some junkers. At least the junkers could be melted down and used for something. Our healthcare system has been broken or decades and obamacare was and is not the answer. Hospitals and insurance companies are not there to manage your healthcare but rather to manage your money and once you are out of money, you are out of healthcare. Saying most insurance companies and hospitals are interested in the person is like saying most charities are interested in the people they are suppose to serve. You may be an exception but look at the Red Cross, United Way, Clinton Foundation as being the antithesis of greed.
I will assume you never served in the armed forces because an Honorable discharge is just that, Honorable.

Sorry Possumlady but Carter, Clinton, Dodd, Frank, Waters and Bush were equally responsible for the meltdown. Their push for a house for everyone created the housing melt which brought down the whole stack of cards. Your example of your CEO was spot on because those who can do, those who can't teach. We need good teachers but they no little about application as you attested.
