Donald Trump: "The Banana Republic Wannabe."

UPDATE BELOW

Like all tin-pot dictators, Cadet Bone Spurs dreams of military parades to show the world that his guns are big. Cadet B.S. was impressed by the French parade of soldiers and military equipment last summer, so now he wants to show off his equipment as well.

I remember when the GOP wouldn't even say "French fries" after 9/11, and now a GOP preznit wants to be French.

Quels temps fous nous vivons dans, mené par imbecil dangereux!

"After reading the New York Times report, retired Army Major General Paul D. Eaton released a scathing statement on VoteVets.org, and he didn’t mince words.

'Donald Trump has continually shown himself to have authoritarian tendencies, and this is just another worrisome example,' his barrage opens. He was just getting warmed up.

'For someone who just declared it was ‘treasonous’ to not applaud him, and for someone who has, in the past, admired tactics of everyone from Saddam Hussein to Vladimir Putin, it is clear that a military parade isn’t about saluting the military – it’s about making a display of the military saluting him.

'The military is not Donald Trump’s to use and abuse in this way,' Eaton’s statement continues. 'Our military is the very best in the world – they are not to be reduced to stagecraft to prop up Donald Trump’s image.

'Any commander in chief who respects the traditions of the military would understand that. Unfortunately, we do not have a commander in chief, right now, as much as we have a wannabe banana republic strongman.' ”

UPDATE:

Twitter is brutal to Cadet Bone Spurs and his strongman plans for a military parade to bolster his insatiable ego:

Here is some of that reaction:

#45 claims he "loves" our veterans; but of course, he doesn't. Trump loves himself above all others. And here's why:

Estimated cost of Trump's military parade: $17.2 million

Cost to provide housing for every homeless veteran in America (40,000): $24.7 million

Trump wants a military parade in his honor. Veterans want to sleep out of the cold & rain.

Where do you want your tax dollars to go?

I have asked the Pentagon to work something up for me based on this concept board I put together

Cool. Just like in North Korea and Russia. But what do we do about those traitors who don’t clap during our Dear Leader’s speech?

Ducky's here said...

"D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser on Wednesday also responded to the idea of the parade, saying through a spokeswoman that if Trump wants to hold a parade in D.C., “he will have to pay for it” himself.

Bowser’s spokeswoman said that D.C. officials have not been formally approached about logistics for the proposed parade, which the Post reported could possibly happen around Veterans Day."

And I hear that tanks leave wicked potholes.

E.Rosewater, charming poem. Thanks for stopping by.

Ducky, Do the people over at the Mother Ship think #45's Kim Jong Un-like parade is a neat idea for their Dear Leader? Can #45 make it any plainer to the world what a wannabe dictator he is.

Veterans Say Trump’s Military Parade Would Be A Big Waste Of Time
“I am not wasting a day standing and marching around in my freaking uniform so that somebody can get their rocks off,” one Navy vet said.
