More on the Trump-Giuliani-Barr-Ukraine Scandal

UPDATE:

Pompeo was in on the impeachable call! Barr knew about it! Trump made the call! The whole damn crew are implicated! The stink is all through this corrupt administration!

AND THIS!

The discussion was another instance of the president using American diplomacy for potential personal gain.

Please go HERE and read the facts behind the Trump-Giuliani-Ukraine scandal. It explains a lot.

THIS:

To reiterate what I said on
, the Trump narrative about the Biden's is verifiably false. Not only was the entire Western alliance for Shokin's ouster, Hunter Biden didn't serve on the board of Burisma until 2 YEARS after the period at issue.

When you've read that article, read what Garry Kasparov has to say about what the Trump regime is doing to the facts:

As you watch Trump’s defenders lie, deflect, and distract today and in the coming weeks, remember that they don’t care about being caught in obvious lies. Calling bullshit still means you’re talking about the bullshit, not the facts.

Trump warns of a civil war if he's impeached. That in itself is an impeachable offense according to law professor:

"President Donald Trump's recent tweet quoting a longtime evangelical pastor who warned of a "Civil War" if Democrats seriously pursue removing him from office could actually be grounds for impeachment, one Harvard Law professor said.

'If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal,'

Trump tweeted on Sunday night. The tweet was a quote from Robert Jeffress, a Southern Baptist pastor who gave the comment during an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend. Trump added his own parenthetical aside to Jeffress' quote, in which the president asserted that Congress won't be successful in their impeachment efforts.

The president's tweet was immediately met with backlash, and Harvard Law professor John Coates argued that the social media post itself is an "independent basis" for lawmakers to remove him from the White House.

'This tweet is itself an independent basis for impeachment - a sitting president threatening civil war if Congress exercises its constitutionally authorized power,"'Coates wrote on Twitter on Monday."

Shaw... let's do this.

The left stipulates that there is potentially damaging imfo regarding Biden and his son Hunter. And heck, let's throw in the Pres Obama failed to send enough arms to Ukraine early enough to make a difference.

There you have it Skud, and your various anon friends too afraid to post their real names.

Now let's see how you guys handle the soft ball question CBS reporter Scott Pelley posed to Minority Leader McCarthy... "[do you believe] it’s appropriate for the president to seek foreign assistance to investigate his political rivals?"

It's a simple yes/no question, yet McCarthy couldn't, or wouldn't answer it. Even a yes answer does no preclude a belief that as McCarthy said, it was not an impeachable offense. Those offenses, whatever they are, are generally political and debatable.

But have we reached a place where few in the GOP can even say yes, that's a problem?

I thought this might be of interest to you said...

Democrats have ALWAYS been deranged –– at least tsince the time they mansged to put hat consumate useful idiot FDR in office. However the Reign by the Lords of Misrule really began with the advent of the so-called Progressive Era.

Dave, I brought your comment over to this thread because most people wont look at old posts to read it:

Let's not forget, not one single right wing commenter, or anyone for that matter has uncovered language from Pres Obama saying the US apologizes for anything. He did acknowledge that we'd done some pretty bad things in the Middle East, like overthrowing democratically elected governments, etc. but he/we never apologized.

But typically that kind of nuanced understanding of language and diplomacy is lost on the mostly binary zero sum game thinkers on the right.

If you want an American apology, the right should look to Pres Reagan, who apologized on behalf of America for imprisoning US citizens of Japanese descent during WW II, right here in the US. I wonder why they never had a problem with that actual apology?

Dave the article I linked to in today's post explains how Biden and his son were involved in Ukraine. There's no there there. But don't expect the right wing noise machine to let it go. They'll deflect to the Biden story so that their people won't read about Trump's malfeasance and treachery.

So far, none of the far right bloggers have said anything about the fact, uncovered by a Fox News commentator, Chris Wallace, that two Fox guest that appear regularly on that cable news show, deGenova and his wife, were involved with the election interference plot along with Giuliani -- OFF THE BOOKS, and the only person in the administration that knew it was Trump. Can someone explain how that's legal?

Re: Your comment on Mr. Obama and the lie that his Egypt speech was an apology tour. It wasn't, but see how repeating a lie until people believe it's the truth works? It's an old Soviet trick, and the current GOP is expert at old Soviet distractions and lying in order to obfuscate the truth.

As Kasparov said in the post that I put up today. KEEP STATING THE FACT:

Donald Trump asked a foreign government to interfere in our elections -- AGAIN, and used extortion on the Ukraine president to get that interference. America needs only those two pieces of evidence, clearly in the transcript released by Trump himself to get him impeached.

I don't care if the Senate doesn't find him guilty (but after the whistleblower's testimony, maybe it will), I care only that there'll be an enormous asterisk beside Trump's name in the history books as a man who deserved impeachment because of his corruption and treachery.

Wouldn't ya know. Trump calling for Adam Schiff's arrest for committing treason!

"Trump asks if House Intel Chair Adam Schiff should face ‘arrest for treason’ as impeachment probe gathers steam"

Are you scared, bro? You sound scared. The little snot trying to put the focus on someone else when he's the one who probably committed treason by asking a foreign country to help him get elected!

Dave Miller said...

Shaw... if you saw, or read the transcript from the McCarthy interview, he would not even say whether it not it was right or wrong for an American President to request the help of a foreign government against a political rival in one of OUR elections.

How is that even up for debate?

Shaw Kenawe said...

I did not see the Sunday shows. From what I've seen of the video clips of the interview, McCarthy looks like a sniveling coward. My question is what is he afraid of. Trump's power is slipping by the day. 55% of the American people want impeachment to go forward.

Let's hear what the whistleblower has to say.

Trump is off the walls and acting like a lunatic, saying -- backed up with the awesome power of the presidency -- that a member of Congress, Adam Schiff, should be arrested for treason.

This is astonishing stuff. Never before seen or heard in my lifetime. Trump makes Nixon look like an angel!

Dave Miller said...

The Clinton impeachment was nothing. But I listened to it everyday. And everyday I heard Lindsey Graham talk about how Pres Clinton, first with his sexual escapades in the Oval Office and then by lying about had sullied the office and institution f the presidency.

Of course, now he's silent on those worries. But I digress.

But compared to the Nixon hearings, they were nothing.

This feels more like 1972. It's a drip drip drip of more and more stuff coming out. Maybe there will be some republicans who just say enough is enough, we need to move on. But it won't be the base. They are unable to even converse solely on the subject of DJT. They have to pivot and bring in accusations about others.

No one did that in 1972. Back then the GOP was content to see Nixon removed if he had acted illegally. There was no way they were putting sustaining his presidency above doing the right thing. But those days are long gone.

The GOP partisans are right in this... we do want to see their party crushed. Because they've refused since the Gingrich Congress to work with the Dems to better America. They've become convinced that their way is the only way that they won't even negotiate, fearful of a base that will brand them as RINOs.

What a sad party they've become, existing almost only for their own sake.

Too bad because the Dems need a check on their baser instincts.

He's afraid of the legions of heavily-armed knuckle-draggers out in the hinterlands who are fanatically loyal to Trump, are impervious to evidence, and will be enraged at any Republican who "betrays" their idol.

The monster the Republicans created is going to turn against them if they help remove Trump. No wonder they're scared.

Also his brother and a niece, apparently. This as per Minus FJ in a recent comment on WYD. Minus might be a paid Dotard operative, although he's likely "just" a loyal cultist who gets the talking points via the rightwing lie/obfuscate machine. He always knows what the talking points are and repeats them like an obedient foot soldier.

The Biden smear campaign was orchestrated on the assumption that Biden would be the nominee. Though the talking points have been prematurely sprung. They were getting the dirt ready to fling once Biden was the nominee. The whistleblower foiled that plan. Now this Biden dirt may actually be helping Warren. If Warren becomes the nominee, the (racist/bigoted) "Pocahontas" smear will surely return. I think I read something from Minus about her being "corrupt" too. Although I'm not sure what that's about.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Derv, Minus FJ and his sockpuppet Thersites have been predicticting Hillary's imminent imprisionment and the uncovering of the "Deep State" for years. None of that has happened.

Instead, it is TRUMP who's been uncovered as a lying, cheating, traitorous pol who will be impeached, if he doesn't resign before that.

Minus and his sockpuppets don't deal in reality.

Rev, Not sure how I ended up as one of your targets because I haven't posted anything, now you can be part of the MSM like MSDNC. When faced with no credible information about someone, attack.

The Democrats and the media are getting what they have wanted since the day he embarrassed the media and the DNC by beating the -H-. There first action was to start impeachment proceedings and they finally got it.

My hope is he resigns because he shouldn't hold the office and a decent republican can then win. I find it amusing that trump is guilty of trying to influence a foreign government on an investigation but joey is not guilty for doing the same thing in reverse. Twisted logic but that is politics. When do you think lizzy will send me my college tuition reimbursement?

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud: "...but joey is not guilty for doing the same thing in reverse."

Not true. You and the rest of the vast right wing disinformation cabal spread a lie. Just because the GOP supports a liar, a cheat, and a con man as their president, that doesn't mean Joe Biden is of the same ilk. He's not.

"Fox News legal analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano told "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday that Ukrainian prosecutors have found there is no evidence that former Vice President Joe Biden broke any laws with regard to his son Hunter's time on the board of a Ukrainian gas company, as President Trump and his allies have suggested.

"What happens with Joe Biden and his son? Are they going to open that up an investigation on both of them?" Fox News host Ainsley Earhardt asked.

"You know, it depends on who you talk to," Napolitano said "If you talk to Rudy Giuliani, he has a lot of evidence of inappropriate behavior by the former Vice President and his son. Yet, the prosecutors in Ukraine and even prosecutors here in the United States say there’s no ‘there’ there."
