WE ARE LEADERLESS IN A TIME OF NATIONAL EMERGENCY

Dear P.E. readers,

I hope none of you will be affected by this monster's ignorant opinions. I'm listening right now on NPR to a doctor from Mass. General who is on the front lines, putting his life in danger, fighting this killer virus, and he is talking about what Trump said last night on FAUX NOOZ (quoted below). In this doctor's informed opinion, what Trump claimed on FAUX NOOZ is one of the most irresponsible things he's ever heard from a leader in the time of a national emergency. He also said many of his fellow doctors are appalled and angry at this reckless statement from the POTUS.

Image may contain: possible text that says 'Trump: "I don't believe you need 40,000 or 30,000 ventilators. You know, you go into major hospitals sometimes and they'll have two ventilators. Now all of a sudden they're saying, 'Can we order 30,000 ventilators?"'

The problem is by the time they make enough to take care of the need there won't be a big need. The necessary parts need to be produced and probably come from China since we gave them our manufacturing. Why is it up to the federal government to stock enough medical equipment to supply to hospitals. Shouldn't the hospitals anticipate their own needs.

You are on the side of pay whatever you have to because it is not your money. I feel it is about time the government looks at how they spend our money and get the best value which with the volume they are seeking they can get.

"Leaderless" is exactly the word. If we have a national leader at all right now, it's Nancy Pelosi.

To the blue states, the Trump administration is not a government. It's more like a foreign occupation.
