General John Kelly: "He said that, in his opinion, Mr. Trump met the definition of a fascist, would govern like a dictator if allowed, and had no understanding of the Constitution or the concept of rule of law."
Why hasn't tRump ordered factories to start making more PPEs????
WORKERS ARE WEARING TRASH BAGS. TRASH BAGS. In the richest country on earth. The situation at one Manhattan hospital is so dire that desperate nurses have resorted to wearing trash bags — now a healthcare worker has died and everyone he worked with has coronavirus.
Don't lecture me about 'shit hole' countries ever again.
We are at this place because we went from being somewhat prepared, to no preparation at all. And we're hearing about this one incident - how many more are happening like this, or, worse? Just about everything we have seen about how this event is playing out is teaching us to read between the lines, and, in order to be prepared, yes:
Blow it out of proportion. I can guarantee you, the medical authorities in Italy and Spain now wish that they had assumed the worst case scenario in the very beginning... It is far better to have your tools and not need them, than to need them, and not have them.
One more thing. This healthcare worker was working without proper PPE. A healthcare worker died. There are certainly more instances then the one reported here of this happening. If more healthcare workers, taking care of patients without proper PPE, get sick, and die, that means less healthcare workers to take care of very, very ill patients, arriving in greater and greater numbers...which right now, probably have NO ICU ROOMS available...
(And even if more rooms become available, will there be skilled healthcare workers to staff them?)
Now, here's the questions, Rusty: 1. Do we assume this is only one isolated instance? Or, 2. Do we assume that there are more like this, and so we prepare for the very worst?
Which would you choose?
Hint: We already are living through Trump's Choice #1.
A Helpful Truth: Failing to plan is planning to fail.
Which do you see happening in NY?
Hmmm.....I feel an editorial cartoon coming on.. something is demanding to be drawn..... .Be right back.....lol

From today's blogpost (3/27/2020)on the Trump administration's dickering over purchasing life-saving ventilators for Americans suffering with Covid-19:
He[Jared Kushner] has been directing officials at FEMA in the effort. Two officials said the suggestion to wait on the General Motors offer came from Col. Patrick Work, who is working at FEMA. Some government officials expressed concern about the possibility of ordering too many ventilators, leaving them with an expensive surplus.
Reckless reasoning at best, heartless and life-threatening at worst. What is wrong with the Trump administration that they can't see that being over-prepared is better than what has happened?!
PS. I've deleted "Rusty." He will never be allowed to comment here. He is obsessed with me and has written about me in the most disgusting sexually threatening and filthy way.
There's something desperately wrong with an old man like him writing about me in the most lurid sexual way on other blogs and then coming here thinking I would tolerate his filth and mentally disturbed presence on my blog.

Possumlady, Thank you for the link. That was reported in USAToday in August of 2019. I wonder if Trump is still interested in that alternative.
Ray It's a disgrace. Trump needs to pay for his incompetence at the polls in November.
