Good news but didn't, imo, go nearly far enough. I don't blame the black community for feeling that this is, in the words of Van Jones, a 'gut punch'. It is something, and for that I am grateful, but it in no way is enough time for murder and Chauvin murdered Floyd as sure as if he had put a bullet into his skull.
I hope he rots in prison and never sees the light of day again. I know that's not a nice thing to think or say but I don't really care, at this point.

George Floyd's death is permanent. So is the loss his daughter and entire family haas forced to experience at the hands of a white racist cio murderer.

His sentence is peanuts in comparison. He should have been sentenced to 4o years WITHOUT the possibility of parole. PERIOD.

Systemic unjustice on full display. Apparently it is the Americn way. Determine justice based on skin color. The frigging judge is a QHITE dude. Wonder if he'd feel a billlt different if it had beeeen hips daughter that wass murdered by Chauvin.

If it wasn't for a brave young woman, Darnella Frazier, Chauvin would have gotten away with murder.

Derek Chauvin used force against suspects before George Floyd. The jury didn't hear about 6 of those incidents.

Chauvin is a bad cop. He deserves what the judge gave him. And more, IMO.

For some it was not enough. For others it was to much. The judge was looking for a happy medium that would please all, probably knowing no one would be pleased no matter what he did.
This is all for not because the conviction will be overturned because of jury misconduct. We will have to try this all over again.
