FAUX NOOZ's TUCKER CARLSON ADMIRES HUNGARY'S AUTHORITARIAN STRONGMAN

Tucker Carlson, FAUX NOOZ propagandist  and frozen fish food trust fund baby, finds Hungarian anti-democracy strongman, Viktor Orban, just the perfect example of a neo-fascist model for America:

After 11 years in almost unchallenged power, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban faces a fierce battle for re-election in eight months time, against an unusually united opposition, from left to right, which accuses him of hijacking Hungarian democracy and financially favouring his own coterie of oligarchs and loyalists.

Mr Orban also stands accused of using Pegasus spyware purchased from the Israeli company NSO to tap the phones and mine the personal data of up to 300 independent journalists, lawyers and businessmen not aligned with his Fidesz party.

The European Commission has suspended the disbursement of post-Covid EU recovery funds, citing insufficient safeguards against corruption. Nordic governments have also suspended payment of funds to NGOs, after failing to reach agreement with the government over who should disburse them. BBC WORLD NEWS

Carlson and Trump simply hate democracy.

They can't even refer to the opposition party correctly (it's the DEMOCRATIC Party, not Democrat Party) because the word democratic conjures images of free and fair elections, majority rule, and equal rights.

Orban will be more than happy to counsel Carlson as to the best ways to dismantle the evil democratic republic in favor of the wonders of right-wing dictatorship. At this little tête-à-tête, Carlson will be unmasked in more ways than one.

Tucker Carlson proposes Hungarian PM Viktor Orban's far-right authoritarianism as "an option to the chaos and filth and crime growing all around us"

This is calculated. This is purposeful. He means it.

Tucker is steering his audience straight into white nationalism.

Ruth Ben-Ghiat: "Carlson is a Fascist demagogue.

From Mussolini on, “filth” has meant groups that threaten the nation’s “health,” such as Jews, leftists, Muslims, Roma, migrants, LGBTQ+.

Shaw, It would be worthwhile to note in articles about Carlson that significantly less than 3% of the US watches him.

There are more in each US minority group (Black, Latino, Asian, LGBT) than his entire audience.

Carlson is fascist scum. His own Fox employer has said no one should take anything he says seriously.

Why would anyone pay attention to carlson, hannity, coulter, levin. They have about the same credibility as cuomo, acosta, anderson and lemon. All of them fit if their lips are moving they are lying. I would say ray is being generous with his viewer estimates.

skud, you left out the BIGGEST LIAR in the history of the American presidency..

30,000 documented lies by Trump, and the BIGGEST LIE OF THEM ALL, that he won the 2020 election.

But, sure, go ahead and complain about those other guys who didn't have the power to affect ALL Americans' lives by calling COVID-19 a "Democrat hoax."

And Thomas Paine is wondering just what the flying fig happened to the fiercely democratic principles this nation was founded on. How these Anti democracy and Anti American neo fascists can call themselves American Patriots.

The answer is they have no understanding of our history or our constitutional values.

Armchair-fighting Trumper:

"We have an illegitimately selected lawbreaking government in place that could care less about the rule of law."

Also the same Armchair-fighting Trumper:

"This post in no way encourages violence or a violent overthrow of the government of the United States.

It is an indication of solidarity with those charged and incarcerated in Washington who are innocent or who have been found innocent of charges of sedition and insurrection."

So which is it, bunkie?

First you say the present government of the United States is illegitimate, then you say you're not trying to encourage violence against that illegitimate government. But you support the people who tried to overthrow the U.S. government under Trump based on Trump's big lie, and you're in solidarity with them.

You are one effed up nutjob!

So Ms. Shaw, this post is about tucker carlson and your response is about trump. Are you diverting attention from the topic to trump instead of staying on topic, something you accuse me of doing. Why don't we talk about all the racist posts who attack people who won't get vaccinated the majority of which in NYC are black. Maybe the support of unions who want to deny our children a good education or the administration who now opposes SCOUTS rulings. Why not support bush and her defend de-fund the police and telling citizens to eat crow because she has private security.

The one constant is obiden's continued attack on the middle class with rising costs and which most affect the poor and middle class.

Hypocrites come in all forms but the leftists seem to be leading the race.

Here are some key observations from a Guardian article by Nick Cohen:

Last week, Carlson’s Fox News beamed an admiring show from Viktor Orbán’s Hungary, even though there is every indication that Orbán will make it Europe’s first rightwing dictatorship since the fall of Franco’s Spain in 1975. Fox News built its audience and Orbán built his power by creating paranoid fears of an enemy so dangerous, any tactics can be justified to defeat it.

Usually, it is the globalised liberal elite that turns against its own people by allowing mass immigration. Orbán has added a fascistic twist to the great replacement conspiracy theory by blaming the Jewish financier George Soros for plotting to flood Christian Hungary with Muslims. If it is not migrants, it is the gay men he implies are pedophiles, and if it is not gay men, it is the European Union. The name of the enemy is incidental. The point about modern far-right politics is that there must always be an enemy.

...But illiberal paranoid politics can never be compatible with democracy. Paranoia turns opponents into traitors engaged in an evil plot against “the people”. The only way to deal with traitors is to crush them and if the crushing entails the destruction of democracy and the perpetuation of the ruling elite’s power, that is a price the elite is happy for others to pay.

...After Hitler’s defeat in 1945 and the fall of the rightwing dictatorships in Spain, Portugal and Greece in the 1970s, western conservative parties committed themselves to observing liberal democratic rules. But the 70s are a long time back and the 40s further still. The lesson of recent history is that the right can abandon the constitutional order and be rewarded rather than punished.
