BREAKING NEWS: "The January 6 Committee confirms that it will 'enforce its subpoenas' of Trump’s aides by 'pursuing criminal contempt charges' against them and even throwing them 'in jail' because 'nobody is above the law.' "

Also, this is priceless:

Adam Schiff @RepAdamSchiff ·

Thanks for the shout-out, Mr. Former President.

As for your statement that the attack on the Capitol would never have happened if “the people in charge had done their job”

You do realize that you were in charge on January 6th?

Right?

Just checking.

Yeah, I understand that this is Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, one of Congress’s worst liars, however what he’s saying today, after storming out of a confidential briefing, concurs with a lot of what we’ve learned in the media about Biden’s Afghanistan debacle, and it’s not good for him.

From CNN reporter Ryan Nobles:

NEW: House Intel Chair Adam Schiff just left a classified intel briefing on Afghanistan and broke a significant amount of news. Here are some of the highlights. First he said getting all Americans and allies out of the country by 8/31 is unlikely..

“Given the number of Americans who still need to be evacuated, the number of SIVs, the number of others who are members of the Afghan press, civil society leaders women leaders. It's hard for me to imagine all of that can be accomplished between now and the end of the month,”

Schiff also said he was concerned about the security of the airport in Kabul: “I think the threat to the airport is very real and very substantial and this has been a concern of mine for, for some days now that this would make a very attractive target for ISIS."

Finally Schiff said that the intel community was very aware that the Taliban had the ability to take over the country. "the intelligence agencies assessments of the Afghan government's ability to maintain itself became increasingly pessimistic,”

Your copied and pasted comment is from last August. Do you even read what you post? Apparently, you don't.

Smarter trolls, please.

I am just glad that joey has gotten the supply chain issue resolved. Now all you have to do is drive to oakland and pick up you stuff that will be sitting on the docks because there are no truck drivers to haul it. Again he answered zero questions.

We have a VP who hires actors to play students so she can hire a Canadian company to improve her image. Great job.

No offense to the people on this blog but do you really think joey has a clue. I know it is all about trump but joey went to the oil companies to get them to control prices after he tanked the pipeline and made them the target for many of his massive screw ups. We go from a secure border and oil independence to a disaster at the border, Afghanistan, covid and massively rising energy prices. He had a good mentor in placing blame only with BHO he targeted the middle class and small business and crisis joe has a number of targets.

Yup, he does. trump didn't. Still doesn't. Never will.

But you love trump anyways. Now don't lie like trump. Cause we all know you do.

What is funny, RN, skudrunner never said that about Trump when Trump stumbled through 4 years, when Trump suggested injecting disinfectant as a cure for COVID, when Trump said windmills cause cancer, when Trump used the DoJ as his personal legal representatives.

Trump never had a clue about how to govern, what American history was about, or what was in our Constitution. But skud, ever the partisan, never wondered if Trump had a clue.

All he'll post about from now until the next presidential election is how "clueless" Biden is, because that's what he reads on his far right news sites and blogs. I allow him to post here so that we can see what the Trump cultists are saying and thinking.

Unlike most Trump partisans, he's not an angry, impolite poster.

I will quote from a very smart person on this blog, "Anonymous, of course. They're cowards as well"

I will have to assume since you live in a very urban area you don't have to purchase gasoline. I will also assume that a lot of less wealthy people are going to be in a world of hurt come winter with heating bills. Nothing I said in my post is untrue and I got this information from watching joey not fox news.

I know, I know, it is all about trump with liberals but some may look past their partisan politics and look at the current incompetent president and deplorable VP. If you don't eat or drive everything looks great until you freeze. Inflation has little affect on the wealthy but the middle class and poor suffer.

To answer skudrunner's comment on how Biden is hurting middle class and poor with the rise in energy prices:

THE QUESTION
Is the U.S. president responsible for rising gas prices?

THE SOURCES
American Automobile Association (AAA)
Energy Information Administration (EIA)
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis, GasBuddy
Jeanette McGee, director, AAA External Communications

THE ANSWER
This is false.
No, the president of the United States does not control gas prices.

When asked if President Joe Biden is responsible for the higher gas prices across the country during this Memorial Day weekend, Jeanette McGee, AAA’s director of external communications, told VERIFY that the American Automobile Association is often asked how presidents and their decisions in office can impact gas prices.

“The bottom line is gas prices fluctuate no matter who's in the White House,” said McGee. “If you look at the past 16 years, prices were up and down no matter who was there.”

ALSO THIS FROM FORBES:

"...Obama initially experienced rising gasoline prices. Those prices reached a peak at the highest annual average of any president, before falling back down to the lowest level since Bush’s first term. The reasons for this are clearly understood, as I will explain below.

Gasoline prices rose during each of President Trump’s first two years in office, reversing the two-year trend that ended Obama’s second term. By Trump’s third year in office, prices fell slightly, but then they fell sharply during his fourth year to a level almost the same as during Obama’s eighth year."

When you come here with accusations against presidents, skud, please at least produce evidence for your claims, otherwise I consider you remarks as just partisan gossip and sour grapes.

The very most partisan people often do not recognize their own partisanship.

All people suffer, it is a condition of life. It is how we deal with suffering that is important.

Love, compassion, and wisdom are three commodities that help us embrace suffering for what it really is. Opportunity to grow.

Evil is not the greatest evil facing humankind. Ignorance is.

Self centered ego driven capitalism is a great driver of suffering, not love, compassion, and altruism. Practice these three more and unbridled capitalism much less.

trump is always has been the antithesis of love, compassion, altruism, and wisdom. And skud, you've told me all I need to know about you. Moving as far away as I can.

So Mr. The Buck Stops Here is not responsible for anything. In July the corona virus is under control thanks to my administration, wait it's not but not my fault it's the republicans. We are out of Afghanistan after 20 years and just because we lost lives and turned the country over to terrorists that's not my fault. I canceled the wall and open the borders but those 200k crossing are not my fault. I canceled the pipeline and drilling on federal land while attacking oil companies but the rising prices are not my fault. I have been working on the supply chain issue since february so it's not my fault it is so screwed up because they haven't passed my massive give-a-way program that will cost nothing.

I guess he has done his job, he got trump out of office so now he can return to his couch and let his handlers run the country.

RN, With some it is always about trump but I thought you commented you were moving forward. Giving away other peoples stuff is always fun unless it affects you, got it.

Shaw Kenawe said...

skud: "So Mr. The Buck Stops Here is not responsible for anything."

No one here wrote that. YOU wrote that. You probably missed the televised speech by President Biden where he took full responsibility for the cock-up in leaving Afghanistan. You always conveniently "forget" those moments.

skud: "I canceled the wall and open the borders." THERE ARE NO OPEN BORDERS! I documented this fact for you a week or so ago in the comments. That you keep repeating a BALD FACE LIE, shows me and everyone else that you're not interested in facts, just in smearing. THERE IS NO OPEN BORDER.

SKUD: "...the rising prices are not my fault."

Correct! And I linked to discussions on why rising energy prices are NOT ANY president's fault, not even the liar, cheat, and fraud, Donald Trump, when energy prices rose and fell during his administration. Again, you're not interested in evidence or facts. And this is why the U.S. is in such a mess. People like you don't deal in truth, facts, evidence, just scoring points against the other party.

No one's "giving away" other people's stuff. That's a very old, old conservative trope that's meaningless since it never applies to the subsidies given to big oil, corporate farms and meat producers, and other billionaire businesses. The tax loops that allow multi-billionaires like Bezos and others ARE GIVE AWAYS! You don't see that because you're blind to facts and evidence and are caught in the trap of seeing only what YOUR news sources and blogs feed you.
