TRUMP'S CONTRADICTORY POSITIONS ON SYRIA

"Trump has exposed himself to the world as an imbecile and burned through American credibility with his incessant lying."  - Charles Blow, NYTimes

Here are all the times Trump told President Obama NOT to attack Syria.

Donald Trump tweets about Syria

  1. Why is Senator John McCain in Syria visiting with the rebels- MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

  2. "@Tommyguns11@realDonaldTrump Obama arming Syrian rebels is a travesty and an embarassment to the US! What would YOU do?" Stay out!

  3. We should stay the hell out of Syria, the "rebels" are just as bad as the current regime. WHAT WILL WE GET FOR OUR LIVES AND $ BILLIONS?ZERO

  4. Remember, all these ‘freedom fighters’ in Syria want to fly planes into our buildings.

  5. That said, the rich Arab countries should get involved with the Syrian mess, not us.We should start rebuilding our own country & military.

  6. @walaa_3ssaf No, dopey, I would not go into Syria, but if I did it would be by surprise and not blurted all over the media like fools.

  7. Let the Arab League take care of Syria. Why are these rich Arab countries not paying us for the tremendous cost of such an attack?

  8. If Obama attacks Syria and innocent civilians are hurt and killed, he and the U.S. will look very bad!

  9. How bad has our "leader" made us look on Syria. Stay out of Syria, we don't have the leadership to win wars or even strategize.

  10. "@jenconservative@RKDrake @realDonaldTrump I would be totally surprised if the US even HAS any money to spend on Syria!!" We don't!

  11. "@Joe1sPro: @realDonaldTrump the president of Syria is killing people inhumanly" But the so called "rebels" may be just as bad (or worse)!

  12. "@mguarino64@realDonaldTrump " How would you treat the Syria situation if president ?" I'd let them all fight with each other-focus on US!

  13. The Arab League stated that it wants nothing to do with an attack on Syria, but they want us to attack. Are our leaders insane or just stupid

  14. "@BigSexyBDAvis@realDonaldTrump mr trump would attack Syria or no?" No, lets make our country great again as they fight their war!

  15. For all of those fools that want to attack Syria, the U.S.has lost the vital element of surprise-so stupid-could be a disaster!

  16. Many Syrian ‘rebels’ are radical Jihadis. Not our friends & supporting them doesn't serve our national interest. Stay out of Syria!

  17. .@GOP must stay focused on defunding ObamaCare and the impending budget battle. Don’t let Syria rule the agenda.

  18. The only reason President Obama wants to attack Syria is to save face over his very dumb RED LINE statement. Do NOT attack Syria, fix U.S.A.

  19. AGAIN, TO OUR VERY FOOLISH LEADER, DO NOT ATTACK SYRIA - IF YOU DO MANY VERY BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN & FROM THAT FIGHT THE U.S. GETS NOTHING!

  20. Russia is sending a fleet of ships to the Mediterranean. Obama’s war in Syria has the potential to widen into a worldwide conflict.

  21. We should not attack Syria but if they make the stupid move to do so, the Arab League, whose members are laughing at us, should pay!

  22. Many of the Syrian rebels are radical jihadi Islamists who are murdering Christians. Why would we ever fight with them?

A Sexual Predator Defends A Sexual Predator

THE GRABBER AND THE GROPER

No surprise there.

Trump sticks up for "Awful, Awful Bill O'Reilly", who's had to pay out millions in settling sexual harassment and sexual predator behavior lawsuits by his female co-workers.

In Trumpworld, Trump declares April as National Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month, and then defends a sexual assaulter, his dear friend, Bill O'Reilly.

The jokes just write themselves.

Trump just defended Bill O’Reilly — in the middle of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

Bannon Gets Booted.

Trump boots Bannon from the National Security Council so Steverino can spend more time with his gin blossoms:

I'm de-operationalizing you, Steve.  SAD!

It's Obama's Fault!

Poll: Trump more unpopular than Obama ever was

It's Obama's fault that Trump is the most disliked and unpopular new president in modern American history.

If President Obama hadn't been so well liked, so competent, so decent, so honorable, and an exemplar of American family values, perhaps the unpopular, incompetent, dishonorable, and moral swine who now lives in the White House wouldn't be so negatively compared to the previous tenant.

The foolish people who fell for Lord Dampnut's lies, cons, and empty promises, brag and bluster have to live with the consequence of having supported this disaster (as do we who knew better than to support the creep):

Fifty-two percent of voters feel embarrassed that Trump is their president.

Only 27 percent say they are proud.

Mr. Trump isn’t doing well with women (63 percent disapprove),

Democrats (91 percent), and non-white voters (77 percent).

Even among his base, his numbers continue to slip; only 39 percent of men approve of President Trump’s performance, while 51 percent disapprove.

White voters now disapprove of him 48 percent to 43 percent, and while a majority of Republicans (79 percent) still approve of him, that’s down from 81 percent two weeks ago.

Independents are the only group of voters that hold a slightly improved view of Mr. Trump, with disapproval decreasing by three points to 57 percent and approval rising one point to 32 percent.

Voters’ opinions of the president remain mainly negative when it comes to his personal qualities.

Mr. Trump receives the worst scores on honesty (61 percent don’t think he is), level-headedness (66 percent), and on shared values with voters (61 percent).

Fifty-five percent of voters do not believe that the president has good leadership skills, and a similar number of voters, 57 percent, think that he does not care about average Americans.

The Wall Street Journal:

In counties located around military posts, by contrast, Mr. Trump’s approval fell more than 8 points, to 41.4% in March, down from 50.1% in February.

So is this important? Well, yes. If the American people are not supporting their president, how will he get anything done? How will such an unpopular president get his fractured party to go along with his proposed legislation? Why would the opposition party fear such a disliked person? And finally, why would world leaders care what he says or threatens if he's that weak at home? Why pay attention to him at all?

If Trump is this disliked now, when America hasn't yet faced a domestic threat or catastrophe, how will this change, considering that Trump reacts to most unhappy, bad news with lies and by blaming other people for his bumbling and ignorance.

Our unpopular weakling of a president is one who speaks LOUDLY but has a very small stick.

And this is only one of the reason's Trump is unpopular:

Max Boot of Foreign Policy:

Is Trump Russia’s Useful Idiot, or Has He Been Irreparably Compromised?

That’s the question that needs answering. Everything else is a distraction. The big question is whether Trump and his aides participated in the Russian hack-and-leak campaign to influence the U.S. presidential election in his favor. Or was Trump just an unwitting beneficiary of Russian meddling?

The FBI is now seeking answers in an unprecedented investigation of a sitting president’s ties to a hostile foreign power. Rather than facilitate the inquiry, Trump and his followers have launched a slash-and-burn campaign to shift the focus away from him and onto his predecessor, former President Barack Obama. Trump launched this counteroffensive in earnest on March 4 when, following revelations that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had lied under oath about his contacts with the Russian ambassador, he tweeted out of the blue that “Obama had my ‘wires tapped’ in Trump Tower.” “Bad (or sick) guy,” he said of Obama, comparing him to “Nixon/Watergate.”

This vile accusation, which was later extended to include Britain’s GCHQ intelligence agency, has been refuted by Trump’s own FBI and NSA directors. But that is no obstacle for Trump, who keeps brazenly repeating this falsehood.

Where does your state stand in legal and illegal corruption?

Right wing nuts often come to P.E. to insult Massachusetts (which, in their cramped little minds, is supposed to reflect on me), but they do so in laughable ignorance.

Massachusetts was recently named the best state in the U.S. by U.S. News and World Report.  The map and chart below illustrate that Massachusetts is also one of the least corrupt states to live in. Keep in mind that those Goopers who denigrate blue, blue Massachusetts, on average, live in red, red states that are among the poorest, least desirable, and most corrupt states in which to live.

Harvard study: Kentucky’s state government one of the most corrupt in the country

A 2014 study by Harvard University’s Center for Ethics finds that Kentucky’s state government is among the most corrupt in the country, and second to none when it comes to the “legal corruption” of political favors in exchange for campaign contributions.

Whereas the most common measure of corruption uses only federal convictions, the Harvard study measures corruption based on the perceptions of experts, surveying hundreds of news and investigative reporters covering state politics. The reporters ranked the existence of both illegal and legal corruption in the executive, legislative and judicial branches on a scale of 1 to 5, from not common at all to extremely common.

NOTE: Louisiana is in red because the state did not cooperate in report.

"He is an awful, awful man" Washington Post report on FAUX NOOZ's Bill O'Reilly, sexual predator

Thanks to Crooks and Liars' "Mike's Blog Round Up" and "Tengrain" for the Progressive Eruptions link.

Q:   What do Trump supporters and FAUX NOOZ viewers have in common (in addition to everything)?

A:   They admire dirty old men who sexually harass women.

It's just part of the "ole boy" system where every female is theirs to objectify, humiliate, and molest. It's no wonder O'Reilly and Trump share a mutual admiration society. Both of them have a disgusting history of being moral pigs, and which one is the bigger pig is yours to determine.

Washington Post rips ‘awful, awful man’ Bill O’Reilly over harassment, lies and ‘core nastiness’

The Washington Post responded to Saturday’s report by the New York Times that Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has cost the company $13 million in payouts to women who accused O’Reilly of sexual harassment with a Sunday editorial called “Bill O’Reilly, an awful, awful man.”

The essay — written by the Post‘s Erik Wemple — detailed the myriad of complaints against O’Reilly and the elaborate measures that Fox News undertook to silence the women who made them.

In 2004, former producer Andrea Mackris filed suit against O’Reilly for a series of suggestive remarks and a number of phone calls in which the conservative host called Mackris while masturbating and penetrating himself with a vibrator. She received a $9 million payout and orders to never speak publicly about the harassment.

Never forget: The Evangelical Right Wingers who disparaged and denigrated President Obama, a faithful, devoted husband and father, admire and support both Trump and O'Reilly, which in turn is condoning their execrable sexual behaviors. But don't point that out to the hypocrites; they're too busy reminding everyone how they're the "Family Values" crowd.

Making America Great Again, The Trump Way

This is just one consequence of having the damn fool Trump pissing off our neighbors and allies:

Mexico is ready to hit the U.S. where it hurts: Corn.

Mexico is one of the top buyers of American corn in the world today. And Mexican senator Armando Rios Piter, who leads a congressional committee on foreign relations, says he will introduce a bill this week where Mexico will buy corn from Brazil and Argentina instead of the United States.
It’s one of the first signs of potential concrete action from Mexico in response to President Trump’s threats against the country.

Sunday Night Funnies: Trump's Enablers

And his enablers include the wackos on the far right blogs -- especially the Evangelical far right blogs (Bible Trumpers) -- who continue to support Trump the Fraud, Con Man, Liar, Man-Child, and all around Jerk.

Sunday Poetry

Ah, But Math is Like That Too

When poets are so dissed
by engineers and physicists
they really should consider this:

(4+2) is just like 6

and keeping that in mind
81’s like the square of 9
and in case you think these
are a poet's tricks,
√36 is too like 6
(in this, poetry’s like
arithmetic).

In fact, when quantities and things align
like is like an equal sign
and, what’s more,
(4×4) is 16’s metafour

Saturday Night Funnies

"Hi Stranger..."

NOT JUST A FOOL BUT A FRAUD, A CON, AND A LIAR

NOT JUST A FOOL, BUT A FRAUD, A CON, AND A LIAR

From Booman Tribune:

This is your occasional reminder that the president of the United States is a fraudster:

A federal judge has approved a $25 million settlement President Donald Trump agreed to late last year in a bid to head off a civil fraud trial over his Trump University real estate seminar program. U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel issued a 31-page ruling Friday deeming the deal fair and overruling claims from some former Trump University students that they should get larger payments or be allowed to drop out altogether in a bid to force Trump into a trial.

Under the settlement, former Trump University students are expected to get 80 percent to 90 percent of what they paid — typically about $1,500 for a three-day seminar or $35,000 for an in-depth mentorship program. Curiel called that result “extraordinary” when measured by the yardstick of other class actions that are often settled for pennies on the dollar.

And let’s not forget that Donald Trump attacked this judge and said that he couldn’t be impartial because of his Mexican-American heritage.
