"He is an awful, awful man" Washington Post report on FAUX NOOZ's Bill O'Reilly, sexual predator

Thanks to Crooks and Liars' "Mike's Blog Round Up" and "Tengrain" for the Progressive Eruptions link.

Q:   What do Trump supporters and FAUX NOOZ viewers have in common (in addition to everything)?

A:   They admire dirty old men who sexually harass women.

It's just part of the "ole boy" system where every female is theirs to objectify, humiliate, and molest. It's no wonder O'Reilly and Trump share a mutual admiration society. Both of them have a disgusting history of being moral pigs, and which one is the bigger pig is yours to determine.

Washington Post rips ‘awful, awful man’ Bill O’Reilly over harassment, lies and ‘core nastiness’

The Washington Post responded to Saturday’s report by the New York Times that Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has cost the company $13 million in payouts to women who accused O’Reilly of sexual harassment with a Sunday editorial called “Bill O’Reilly, an awful, awful man.”

The essay — written by the Post‘s Erik Wemple — detailed the myriad of complaints against O’Reilly and the elaborate measures that Fox News undertook to silence the women who made them.

In 2004, former producer Andrea Mackris filed suit against O’Reilly for a series of suggestive remarks and a number of phone calls in which the conservative host called Mackris while masturbating and penetrating himself with a vibrator. She received a $9 million payout and orders to never speak publicly about the harassment.

Never forget: The Evangelical Right Wingers who disparaged and denigrated President Obama, a faithful, devoted husband and father, admire and support both Trump and O'Reilly, which in turn is condoning their execrable sexual behaviors. But don't point that out to the hypocrites; they're too busy reminding everyone how they're the "Family Values" crowd.

The LA Times has started an editorial series on Trump. It definitely pisses off Trump supporters, but I doubt they will be able to point to falsehoods. They just don't like the truth!

I really would have preferred to not have had that image of O'Reilly implanted in my mind. No doubt Mackris had the same wish to an exponentially greater degree. Nine million bucks seems only fair.

Shaw,

You are a beautiful person with deep roots in a historic community and a wonderful family.

It certainly would not do or even be decent to comment on a beast like O'Reilly on the venerable Progressive Eruptions. I shall not deign to participate in this sordid exercise. Suffice it to say the likes of Bill O'Reilly shall never be welcome in polite society.

Jerry, I read the first of that 4-part series, and it is spot on. Trump supporters won't go near it because, as you rightly pointed out, they can't handle the truth.

Infidel753 and Flying Junior, I reported the repulsive story on O'Reilly to document, once again, the type of creepy despicable human beings the GOPers listen to and admire. O'Reilly and Trump are two of a kind, and the Evangelical right wingers who support them should be ashamed, but we know they have none. O'Reilly is the top rated cable news show, and he's top-rated because of the sort of people who have no problem with a sexual predator.

F.J. thank you for your kind compliments.

Totally disagree about the image of BillO penetrating himself with a vibrator!

If I were ever to meet this scumbag, I'd love to tell him, "Hey, Bill! Go penetrate yourself with a vibrator!"

PM Carpenter on "Awful, awful Bill O'Reilly"

"Put an orange wig on this clown and he'd be a double for you-know-who. And also like you-know-who, his well-earned misfortunes are piling up on him. Especially since the NY Times reported that millions of dollars have been paid out "from either Mr. O’Reilly or [Fox News] in exchange for [his victims] agreeing to not pursue litigation or speak about [sexual harassment] accusations against him," not only are his misfortunes piling up, the cleaner world is either piling on or bailing out. And rightly so. No spin.

Mercedes-Benz has pulled its sponsorship of "The O'Reilly Factor," for it no longer "feel[s] this is a good environment in which to advertise our products right now." Hyundai has announced that it will avoid advertising on the groper's show in the future. Lexus is fudging but adumbrating: "We … seek to partner with organizations who share our company culture and philosophy of respect for all people. We will continue to monitor the situation and will take any appropriate action." Other advertisers have told CNN Money they are "looking into the matter," and if they actually do so, they too will be gone. (Shockingly — betrayingly — only Jenny Craig, which of course caters to the O'Reilly-abused female market, "declined to comment" beyond disapproving of sexual harassment.)

And they'll be gone because O'Reilly (as well as serial-harasser Roger Ailes) and his protective employer, just like you-know-who, are frauds, lacking only the orange pate. As the Post's Michael Gerson and one of the abused have summarized this collective fraudulence: "If the accusations of dozens of women over two decades are correct — and it is hard to dismiss the women, as the accused have done, as unbalanced, dishonest or disgruntled — then Fox News is the focus of hypocrisy in the modern world. While preaching traditional values, it has operated, according to former Fox anchor Andrea Tantaros, 'like a sex-fueled, Playboy Mansion-like cult, steeped in intimidation, indecency and misogyny.'"

Intimidation, human indecency, misogyny — all in the name of traditional American values huckstered, for decades, by the strutting, proudly politically incorrect hypocrites of the right. And it's catching up to them. It always does.

If the very embodiment of contemporary conservatism, Donald Trump, wishes to read his future, he need only take a look at Bill O'Reilly — who is going down into a Dantean circle of comeuppance."

Bill O'Reilly and Donald Trump, The Groper and The Grabber, and heroes of the "Family Values" Evangelical Rightwingers.
