AGAIN -- PART II

In America, it is more important for gun fetishists to have the freedom to own AR 15 and other automatic firing weapons than protect the lives of Americans and American school children.

And we call ourselves the greatest country in the world?

Any country that tolerates babies being shot in grammar school, children being shot in high school, citizens being shot in churches, at concerts, in movie theaters, malls, night clubs is a country that has lost its soul.

We changed the Constitution to end slavery; we changed the Constitution to allow former slaves and women the right to vote, we changed the Constitution to limit a president's term in office.

We have proved to ourselves and the world that we can't handle the unfettered freedom of owning deadly weapons. We've failed ourselves and our children.

For years I've listened to the arguments for not touching anything in the 2nd Amendment and that citizens have the right to defend themselves and their families, defend themselves against the government or a foreign enemy. It's all bullshit. No enemy, robber, or domestic government could deliver the sort of butchery that our 2nd Amendment delivers to our citizens, our babies and children on a regular basis. This is madness.

I have no problem advocating a change to the 2nd Amendment. At some point rational people have to look at the carnage and stay ENOUGH!

NO OTHER WESTERN DEMOCRACY HAS A FIREARMS PROBLEM OF THIS MAGNITUDE.

How many more babies, children, citizens have to be sacrificed before this slaughter ends?

And this:

Australia data shows gun controls a huge success 20 years after mass shooting

And this:

How Japan has almost eradicated gun crime

Everyone knows that the U.K., Australia, and Japan have not been taken over by criminals with guns. The 2nd Amendment fetishists will have you believe in the b.s. that if guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns. Talk to the citizens of the above named countries to see that is a false NRA slogan to keep people fearful and buying guns to fatten the gun manufacturers' bank accounts, the NRA's pockets, and the disgusting politicians in Congress who live off of the blood of dead children by taking NRA money.

Given the choice between the right to own an AR-15 and the right to not fear having your children massacred in their schools, which do you think Americans would choose?

The NRA and the prostituted politicians don't want to know.

The NRA argument boils down to a belief that massacres are part of the price of constitutional liberty.
This implies that the Founders were all psychopaths.

Trump,he with 54 inch waist, sends thoughts and prayers to Florida shooting victim's families. Obama went to Newtown and personally met wth the families of the Sandy Hook massacre. He enacts an Executive Action to help curb other shootings. Trump rescinds that action. Republican congress, in both cases, does nothing. I expect that this weekend Trump will have his fat ass flown regally to FLORIDA to golf and smack down cheese burgers. That asshole is not a PRESIDENT ! Remember this when voting in 2018!

From the Mother Ship:

"
Leftwing commentary yesterday; “This is a lesson never, ever learned….”
Yes, it’s a lesson never learned and what the Left will never, ever learn is having only the bad guys have guns won’t keep schools or anywhere else safe.
Solution? There is none. We now live in a country, rather suddenly if you think about it, some of whose children have little problem wanting everyone around them dead."

The idiot who wrote that knows nothing about the UK, Australia, and Japan. She reads NRA propaganda and believes it when actual facts can be researched to prove she's completely off her rocker.

Anon, Those are the same people who crow about America being the greatest country in the world and then admit we are too weak, too stupid, too fearful of solving the problem of mass killings by automatic weapons. The bit about only the bad guys will have guns is b.s. because there are dozens of countries that prove that NRA propaganda wrong. We are saturated in guns and the gun culture and we have the worst record on the planet as a modern democracy for gun deaths and crime. I'm not surprised people on the Mother Ship don't know these facts. They support Trump. That's all you need to know about their mental state.

The right wing newsers and bloggers are sending around a phtoshopped pic of Cruz as an Antifa leftwinger. Thats a lie. From the Orlando Sentinel"

"An orphaned 19-year-old who participated in paramilitary drills with a white nationalist group was charged with murder Thursday in the deaths of 17 people who were fatally shot at a huge Florida high school in the nation's deadliest school attack in five years.

Nikolas Cruz legally purchased the AR-15 rifle used in the assault at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, law enforcement officials told The Associated Press.

As the criminal case against the suspect took shape, the leader of a white nationalist militia called the Republic of Florida said Cruz was a member of his group and participated in exercises in Tallahassee.

Jordan Jereb told The Associated Press that he did not know Cruz personally and that "he acted on his own behalf" and is "solely responsible for what he just did."

The group wants Florida to become its own white ethno-state. Jereb said his organization holds "spontaneous random demonstrations" and tries not to participate in the modern world.

He also said Cruz had "trouble with a girl" and that he believed the timing of the attack, on Valentine's Day, was not a coincidence."

Didn't the DoJ say that white supremacists were a bigger threat to this country than jihadists? Wsn't the Nevada shooter a white supremacist? How long will the righties stay in denial? Obama's DoJ was right!

From Daily Kos: "I think it's important to know all of that before you jump to conclusions that there was some law that we could have passed that would have prevented it. And there may be, but shouldn't we at least know the facts?" Rubio said on Fox News.

Rubio said it was not appropriate for his Senate colleagues to use the incident as an opportunity to call for increased gun control immediately.

Uh huh. Thoughts and prayers and too soon. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Now, here’s the only thing you need to know about Marco Rubio and his thoughts on gun violence: He’s received $3,303,355 million from the NRA.

Shut up, Marco and shove your NRA blood money straight up your Bible-quoting ass."

Trump is an NRA whore as well:

Trump Signs Bill Revoking Obama-Era Gun Checks for People With Mental Illnesses

President Donald Trump quietly signed a bill into law rolling back an Obama-era regulation that made it harder for people with mental illnesses to purchase a gun.

The rule, which was finalized in December, added people receiving Social Security checks for mental illnesses and people deemed unfit to handle their own financial affairs to the national background check database.

I say that goes for all the NRA whores (my apologies to legitimate whores) in Congress and the White House!

You know how this works folks. You need to get 2/3's of the States, the House, the Senate, and the president to sign off. All these years of murders and I haven't seen, or heard of one serious movement to amend the Constitution. Prayers won't change anything neither will talk. Write something on paper and start getting signatures!

Jerry,

As a mother and grandmother I am enraged and distraught. I cannot stop thinking of the families who lost their precious children. It is unbearable. And I and millions of other Americans have been sayng it's unbearable for decades.

Columbine was unbearable; Sandy Hook was unbearable. And on and on and on and on.

Last fall my granddaughter was in a lock-down because a kid in her middle school brought a gun to class, unloaded, but still a gun. That experiece was terrifying for my granddaughter. I cannot imagine what the survivors of this tragedy are feeling. I cannot imagine the pain, the unimaginable agony the parents and grandparents of the slaughtered children are feeling.

We are a failed country.

Any country that continues to tolerate massacres of its children and citizens by preventable gun laws is a failed country.

WE are NOT the home of the brave. We are the home of the COWARDS. Cowards to the NRA and the whore politicians who take its money.

Paul Ryan says we shouldn't knee jerk and take away a "citizen's right."

Yes we do. Yes we can. When citizens slaughter with those rights, take them away.

Take away the right to own AR 15 automatic killing machines. Is that so hard to understand?

I've almost become numb to this debate. Our society is not the same as it was in 1787 at the signing of our constitution. It has grown more complex with approximately 117 times as many people.

The right to bear arms carries with it the gravest responsibility. For an individual to exercise their right to keep and bear arms should require the highest hurdles and most stringent background checks to demonstrate they are stable enough to use a firearm..

Additionally, classroom and field training should be mandatory followed with testing to demonstrate safety knowledge before being granted clearance to purchase and use a firearm.

Retesting should be required every three years with background checks every two yeas at gun owns expense. If they fail to pass the hurdles their license is rescinded. Relicensing at owners expense every year.

Its time to get serious and force the rubber to meet the road. But whadda ya bet America returns to the vicious cycle yet again
