Still no concession by Trump?

 UPDATE BELOW

The New York Times contacted state officials in every US state, asking about possible fraud:

EVERY OFFICIAL OF EVERY STATE CONFIRMED THERE WAS NO ELECTION FRAUD!

The transfer of power occurs on Inauguration Day whether Trump concedes or not. Concession is a tradition, not the law. It gives the loser a chance to exit with dignity. If Trump chooses to exit in cuffs with a security detail, so be it. Trump has been throwing away American traditions and norms for the last 4 years. He's done nothing but bring out the ugly.

The only noteworthy thing this administration has done is expose the GOP's willingness to put party over country.AFAIC, let trump embarrass and destroy himself in front of America and the world. I don't care if trump doesn't concede, just as long as he leaves the White House and the government.

Biden and his team have run a very smart campaign, and there's certainly no need to give any credence to trump's tantrums now.

President-elect Joe Biden is the adult in the room now.

UPDATE:

NYTimes:

The president and his allies have baselessly claimed that rampant voter fraud stole victory from him. Officials contacted by The Times said that there were no irregularities that affected the outcome.

PHILADELPHIA — Election officials in dozens of states representing both political parties said that there was no evidence that fraud or other irregularities played a role in the outcome of the presidential race, amounting to a forceful rebuke of President Trump’s portrait of a fraudulent election.

Over the last several days, the president, members of his administration, congressional Republicans and right wing allies have put forth the false claim that the election was stolen from Mr. Trump and have refused to accept results that showed Joseph R. Biden Jr. as the winner. But top election officials across the country said in interviews and statements that the process had been a remarkable success despite record turnout and the complications of a dangerous pandemic.

 “There’s a great human capacity for inventing things that aren’t true about elections,” said Frank LaRose, a Republican who serves as Ohio’s secretary of state. “The conspiracy theories and rumors and all those things run rampant. For some reason, elections breed that type of mythology.”

I never thought, in my lifetime, I would see a minority group of people love a personality more than their country to the point that they attempt to desecrate democracy. That is un-American and the opposite of patriotic. What a thing to witness on Veterans Day when all who died were fighting to protect the very thing they seek to destroy.

RN and Paula,From Vanity Fair:

"While a formal concession and an appearance by the president at their successor’s inauguration are important symbols of the peaceful transfer of power from one administration to the next, they are merely norms. Biden will be sworn in on January 20 regardless of whether he receives a congratulatory phone call from Trump. But the transition process the GSA green-lights is no mere formality. In addition to lending legitimacy to the incoming president, it is an important part of ensuring that the president-elect can hit the ground running on the day their term begins. That’s always important, but especially so for an administration that will inherit a major national emergency. “Every day counts in a transition,” David Marchick, director of the Center for Presidential Transition, told Politico. “This year more than any transition since 1932.”

The lack of acknowledgement, let alone cooperation, on behalf of Trumpworld underscores the extent of the damage the current president could still exact on the country in the limited time he has remaining. Over the course of the last four, seemingly interminable years, his chaos and incompetence have eroded institutions, exacerbated existing problems and created new ones, and inflicted a daily barrage of scandal on the nation. With his loss last week, there is now light at the end of the tunnel. But his refusal to concede is a reminder that we have a ways to go still before we reach it."

DailyKos: "Trump’s level of defeat is being reported in France as ‘la ruine bleue’, in Germany as ‘ein katastrophe’, in Spain as ‘un colapso’, in Italy as ‘la devastazione’, in China as 崩溃, in Romania as ‘crăpătură’ and in Botswana as ‘tötta-lifugt’.

Figures quoted here are from Associated Press, taken at about 03.00 New York time on Wednesday 11th November, 2020. The count continues.

Yup, the transition will take place. President Elect Biden will take the oath of office. He will hit the ground running. He will restore sanity and normalcy to the Office of the President of the United States.

And magaturd trump will continue to sow conspiracy, division, xenophobia, racism, and any other number of destructive efforts. He is a liar, a cheat, a criminal, and an all around pile of orange slimy scum.

"Six pre-election and seven post-election lawsuits by the Trump camp have all been tossed out. They are, as President-elect Joe Biden’s deputy campaign manager Kate Bedingfield said, “noise.” Campaign counsel Bob Bauer cautioned that what is going on is “theatrics, not lawsuits.” Judges have described claims that the mail-in ballot system is rife with fraud as “fiction" or entirely based on speculation. None of the allegations about excluded poll watchers have been supported by facts. None of the social media memes about changed ballots or other shenanigans have stood up in court."

Anyone who voted for Biden is no true American; there is nothing about his or the DNC’s platforms that even remotely embrace true American values.

Shaw Kenawe said...

Really Feral H.?

You're like the guy in the WH you support -- full of merda!

Here's the DNC's platform.

And among the values it embraces are

Reforming the tax code to benefit working families;
Curbing Wall Street abuses;
Guaranteeing a secure and dignified retirement;
Securing universal health care through a public option;
Protecting Americans' civil rights;
Supporting faith and service;
Supporting arts and culture;
Reforming campaign finance system;
Strengthening the US Postal system;
Making higher education affordable and accessible;
Ending forever wars;
Keeping faith with our veterans and military families;
Global health and pandemics;
Global climate change.

Those are just a few of the dozens and dozens of items on the DNC platform that YOU say do not even remotely embrace true American values.

What the hell kind of values do YOU embrace? Wait.

You support a thrice married serial adulterer, liar, cheat and fraud.

That's what the GOP stands for.

Maybe President Biden should invoke the insurrection act. That's what Dotard was supposedly going to do when the American public rose up following his theft of the election via the Supreme Court. As per Minus (a conversation I had with him on his blog) he hoped that some anti-Dotard protesters would be killed as a warning.
