Late on Nov. 3, election workers in Fulton County, Georgia, heard that they would be allowed to go home for the night. So they packed uncounted ballots into suitcases and prepared to lock up for the evening.
When word came that they couldn’t leave yet, they dragged the suitcases back out and began counting the ballots again.
That singular scene — of workers taking out suitcases of votes — was then selectively edited and shared by allies of President Trump as a conspiracy theory that election workers had dragged out fraudulent ballots under the cover of night. According to the theory, those suitcases helped swing Georgia’s Electoral College votes to President-elect Joseph R. Biden Jr.
But on Monday, Georgia’s secretary of state office dedicated part of a morning news conference to debunking that falsehood and many others, in what was called “Disinformation Monday.”
Gabriel Sterling, the voting implementation manager in Georgia and a Republican, said in the news conference that watching the entire surveillance footage of Election Day showed that workers had first packed the suitcases with valid, uncounted ballots and then later unpacked those same ballots. They had not taken out suitcases full of fake ballots, he said.

Those facts described by the Republican in charge of voting implementation for the state of Georgia, have been ignored, and the lie about suitcases full of votes for Biden has been promoted by Trump cultists in order to steal the win from Joe Biden and illegally claim it for Trump. And Trump has been encouraging the lawlessness.
Shame on all those who promoted this fake story.
Joe Biden won Georgia. Period.
Believe NOTHING the Trump cultists put forth as "proof" of rampant fraud and rigging of the November election.
Joe Biden won in a landslide victory.
Trump is the ONLY INCUMBENT in 80 years who lost so decisively -- Biden received 7+ million more popular votes than did Trump, and Biden won a landslide of electoral votes.
Trump lost the popular vote TWICE -- in 2016 and 2020! The American people have decided they don't want another four years of chaos, embarrassment, and lawlessness!
Joe Biden will be our 46th POTUS.
Trump is a loser in every sense of the word. Shame on him and the majority of GOPers who persist in trying to overthrow a legal election. They're acting more like third-world thugs than Americans.

What we have right now is the sitting President of the United States trying to entice and induce effectively a coup d’état in America. This is happening because Republicans lack the courage and integrity to stand up for democratic values.
I surprised they haven't said left-wingers planted a whoopie cushion under Rudi at the hearing.
My niece turned 18, and voted for Joe Biden. Her younger sister has rebelled against their Evangelical Trump-voting father. It may take a generation to turn this around.
America is not really Revolutionary. In my lifetime, women could not have credit cards. My generation and the generation after are used to a connected, free-speaking, and diverse world, whereas the generation that favors Trump is more nationalist.
America is evolutionary. As Republicans take and take, destroy the environment, and continue to oppress people just for spite, an equal (or greater) and opposite reaction will grow. I can see it. It may not happen in my lifetime, but some generation after mine will look back at these times, and scoff at the barbarism and lack of human progress.
Unfortunately Paula if we do not get a handle on the growing dangers facing the world relative to climate change it really won't matter too much. We simply will cease to exist on this planet.
The human race is simply incapable of learning from its mistkes. And they are plentiful and complex.
Whatever the final outcome it is only going to get worse. Given what we have observed methinks it prudent to prepare for the worst.
