From “The Intellectualist” on “X”

Donald Trump seated in a New York City courtroom: ✍️ 📸

Donald Trump, whose life has been marred by criminal behavior, arguably should have spent more time in such confines.

His father's wealth shielded him from accountability, allowing him to evade the consequences of his actions. Without this financial backing, Trump might have spent his life cycling through institutions and asylums for the many schemes he concocted.

Instead, money enabled him to masquerade as a member of polite society, a position he never deserved.

He often portrayed himself with a strength he lacked, hurting those he could easily exploit. There he sits, appearing pathetic in the courtroom, a place where he always belonged.

In the courtroom, Trump sits with a visibly sullen expression, his once confident demeanor replaced by a look of resignation.

His shoulders are slightly hunched, and his hands rest uneasily on the table before him, clutching a document. Dressed in a dark suit and a striped blue tie that contrasts starkly with the bright, sterile environment of the courtroom, he appears diminished, a far cry from the brash persona he often projected.

The courtroom setting, with its austere furnishings and the serious faces of those present, underscores the gravity of the situation. This is a man who has spent a lifetime avoiding such moments, now caught in the very place many believe he rightfully belongs.

Trump has violated boundaries his entire life. These are not mere allegations.

He is a twice-impeached adjudicated rapist who has been found liable for defrauding a charity and for sexual abuse. He is currently facing 88 criminal counts in four separate indictments across four jurisdictions.

There is a certain satisfaction in seeing Donald Trump, a man who has built his career by punching down and exploiting those he pretends to champion, now humbled in a courtroom. He is being forced to listen to the condemnations of people who despise him.

As Hemingway wrote in "The Old Man and the Sea," “But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.” However, Trump must be defeated, because he is too dangerous to American liberty.

Facing charges relating to hush money payments to a porn star and a Playboy model, both individuals with far more character and ability than he possesses, Trump now wears his dishonor for all the world to see—a fate he always feared but inevitably deserved.

As the Evangelicals would say... AMEN!

So when is the Intellectualist going to start?

Les Carpenter said...

Start what? It sounds like he's already understanding truth. Unlike trumpist MAGA bots.

If Americans had known who Trump was before 2016 he would not have been elected President. It was not hidden. It was published in all the New York papers. If that was not enough his actions and statements in the primary should have convinced anyone he was a crook and a liar. But the American people (in their wisdom) elected him President anyways. Which according to the polls, they are going to do again. My country, love it or leave it.

...and break the vicious cycle of Emotivism?

I welcome "The Intellectualist" to his own "Common Knowledge Avoidance Game" aka "The War on Disinformation".

And now tell us about Biden's Family.. and you can Start with his Son.

Common knowledge lies on the realm of relative truth, or relative reality. For absolute truth, or absolute reality one must transcend traditional, conditioned, conventional reality. Good luck with that -fj.

Being Right,

Hunter Biden is NOT seeking the presidency. Trump is.

Trump is an adjudicated rapist and tax fraudster, and he’s in criminal court for charges of election interference. That despicable man IS seeking the presidency. Not Hunter.

Long before 2016, I concluded Trump was a very poor specimen of our species.
Since then he has confirmed it.

-FJ the Dangerous and Extreme MAGA Jew said...

It's pretty simple to do that Les. Just identify the "jouissance" shaping it (with no need to repress your Ego when doing so).

Shaw Kenawe said...

BB-Idaho,

Trump confirms that every day!

Les Carpenter said...

Eliminating the ego, ie: not allowing it to control one's life or actions in response to phenomena or the actions of others is, or ought to be the path. But of course for the egomaniacal crowd of MAGA turds i suppose you see your ego as your ally.

Ignorance and delusion are the egos greatest friends -fj. It probably why you identify with the ego whole heartedly.

Perhaps the dumbest phrase ever:

My country love it or leave it.

When ones country acts impulsively, with ill intent that harms others, supports evil authoritarian governments, acts to suppress the liberties of certain segments of the population, denies truth etc., it is the RESPONSIBILITY of every patriotic citizens to criticize and take their government to task. Blind ignorant love of country is both foolish AND dangerous.

When an ignorant and evil charlatan attempts to overthrow the democratic elected government as trump did in 2020 patriots MUST react to defeat the evil doer and restore sanity to the body politic.

My DNC controlled democracy, love it or leave it, right Les?

Sam said...

They had that opportunity when they voted. It's not my fault that they did and might again vote for an immoral, criminal leader. The best I can do is vote against him. I am only one vote. The majority has spoken.

Almost every US president has surrounded themselves with experts in their fields, increasing their ability to govern responsibly incrementally. Trump surrounded himself with handpicked
sycophants, experts in nothing except blind obedience. His deficit was over $8 billion and his Supreme Court is a disgrace to justice. Like watching a political zoo.

Shaw Kenawe said...

It wasn’t the DNC, -FJ, that took away a woman’s right to control her own body. It wasn’t the DNC that decided a good thing for democracy is running an adjudicated rapist and tax fraudster on trial for criminal interference in an election as a morally acceptable presidential candidate!

Thank the morally corrupt RNC Trump sycophants for that plague on America.

The "professional" (aka Deep State) Republicans refused to serve in the Trump Admin, BB. They'd all hitched their careers to the Globalist UniParty.

That'll be RFK Jrs. problem when he wins in November. The Lawfare crew at Brookings will be back at the Institute twiddling their thumbs for at least four years on the corporate donor dime.

Shaw Kenawe said...

BB-Idaho,

None of Trump’s former cabinet leaders, not even his former VP have come out and endorsed him. Not his own Chiefs Of Staff. They know he’s a scoundrel, because they saw him up close on a daily basis. They saw what a wreck of a human being he is.

skudrunner said...

Ms. Shaw, The on trial again, not convicted but on trial. Is it better to have a scoundrel or an incompetent in charge. Look at what is happening to the country with the progressive movement in charge. Crime against citizens is way up and who do we punish, a veteran who tries to help. Taxes are up and what do we do, try to raise them more. Inflation is up and the way to combat that is to throw money at it. Illegals are way up so lets just blame someone else other then the one who opened the border.

You call mayor pete and and granholm experts. I guess if that is your definition of experts biden is your man.

At this point neither candidate is fit to run the country but if the last three years are any indication of decay then maybe a outwardly dishonest person is a reasonable choice.

. . "immorality alone does not make him (Trump) a criminal."--David French

But it *does* make him a disastrous choice to lead our country from the Oval Office.

It is horrifying to watch as Trump's highly partisan judicial appointees distort our legal system beyond recognition in order to skew justice to his advantage, and I am beyond sickened by his---and the GOP's---continual degradation of the political discourse that is vital to the functioning of a healthy democracy.

The New York election interference case itself isn’t the most disturbing thing on display. The most disturbing thing is the continued support amongst both Republican politicians and MAGA crazies and the form in which it’s taking place.

My skin crawls when I see the Republican politicians show up at the trial like some weird assemblage of religious followers. To say that Donald Trump is the leader of a cult is an understatement.

...and the ONLY thing that could be possibly WORSE, according to Machiavelli, would be a gaggle of moralizing Democrats.

Perhaps one day, far far into the future - if humankind doesn't first destroy itself, humans will arrive at the place known as absolute reality. As has been said, hope springs eternai.

Les Carpenter said...

Perhaps, scratch that, it is ABSOLUTELY patently false that 1) President Biden is unfit to be president, and 2, that an outwardly dishonest person's a reasonable choice. Only a flaming cynic believes such drivel.

-FJ stated...

No -FJ, you are wrong.

Mitt Romney was willing to be Sec of State. Bill Barr was a "professional" Republican, as was Priebus. The Sec Def and National Security folks were all professionals as were many of Trump's original cabinet members and down line advisors.

The fact that he chose to ignore them, does not negate the FACT that those types of people served in his admin. And then those ppl saw what a circus that admin was and in the words of his choice for Sec of State learned that they were working for a "F*#@ing Moron".

Les Carpenter said...

And the cons and rethuglicans aren't moralizing about the reasons they are intent on denying a women's right to control their own reproductive system right-fj? LOL!!

You guys area real hoot.
