THE LUNATIC FRINGE IS AT IT AGAIN

The inimitable blogger, Green Eagle, has a great post on the continuing RWDS [right wing derangement syndrome].

"This extremely even-handed and insightful piece of serious reporting, from Floyd and Mary Beth Brown (aren't they relatives of Bonnie and Clyde?) at Town Hall:"

The only thing I would disagree with in GE's post is the wording: "all of a sudden, everyon is talking about the possibility of impeaching Barack Obama."

Actually, the lunatic right has been planning this since 12:20 pm, January 20, 2009.

"Is the Impeachment of Barack Obama Moving Forward?

All of a sudden, everyone is talking about the possibility of impeaching Barack Obama.

Drudge is writing about it. Sean Hannity is talking about it. Dick Morris is saying that the potential scandal is "enormous.". Karl Rove called it an "extraordinary charge." WorldNetDaily.com wrote that "it could be grounds for impeachment."

Everyone! Karl Rove, Matt Drudge, Sean Hannity and Dick Morris. That's everyone! Four pathological, criminal right wing liars! And World Net Daily, which has been campaigning to get rid of Obama since before he took office! That's everybody!

Aren't you glad you know that now.

These people are nothing but human scum. We are never going to be able to look at the right wing noise machine for one single day, as long as Obama is in office, without violent screams to throw him out of office, on any bogus pretext they can think of. And after years of yelling treason at anyone who dared criticize the abominable George W. Bush while he was in the process of destroying our country and murdering a million innocent Iraqi civilians, they have entitled themselves to this behavior.

There is no reasoning or dealing with these people. They are out to destroy our country. It very well may come to the point where they have to be put down like mad dogs.

You'd have to be an idiot to believe the scenario that the White House put forth on the Sestak bribe.
Whether or not the Obozo administration can be shielded from any responsibility since it's obvious the MMS bent the rules for Obama is another thing.

give it up mal.

"Since the MMS bent the rules for Obama?"

Lets see, 80% of the MMS staff are holdovers from the Bush Administration....

What kind of bribe is it when someone is offered an unpaid political appointment? If that is a bribe then ol' Brownie from the Katrina/FEMA fiasco was a real whopper of a bribe...because he got paid for his political loyalty.

The people who needed impeaching were Bush and Cheney. The right wing should just STFU.

Hey, I added you to my blogroll. Nice place you have here.

One baseless call for impeachment does not justify another, IMHO. Too much tit-for-tat.

dmarks: you do understand WHY Bush and Cheney should be impeached don't you? Here is a link to a site where you can read up on it:

dmarks doesn't understand because he's a Bush-lover. Don't bother trying to explain it to him.

The only thing Obama could legally be impeached for, prosecuting the Iraq War, is something the rightists all agree with. (The Iraq War is a war of aggression under international law, which is a war crime. Subsequent treaties have made international law apply in the US.)

Baseless?

The 'imminent threat from Iraq' and Iraq's possession of WMDs (" the Iraq regime continues to possess and conceal some of the most lethal weapons ever devised." ...)

That's where I'd start.

Here's another offense:

"George W. Bush, on March 18, had delivered a letter to Congress explicitly indicating that an attack on Iraq was an attack upon those who perpetrated September 11. Paragraph two reads, "The use of armed force against Iraq is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organizations or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001."

WMDs and Saddam Husseins 'connections' to Al Qaeda.

Certainly impeachable offenses. Sadly congressional Democrats are only marginally preferable to the GOP variety. Worse, they lack the killer instinct Repubs bring to politics.

The mainstream media has proven, again and again, that they are more than happy to repeat groundless accusations in order to try and silence the howls of right wing bias.

George Bush and Dick Cheney should have been tried and convicted for high crimes and misdemeanors for prosecuting a war against Iraq when the United States community told George W. Bush that Iraq did not represent an imminent threat against the United States. Now that they are no longer in office, they, along with Condoleeza Rice, Donald Rumsfeld, and Karl Rove, should be brought up on charges in the Hague for crimes against humanity and imprisoned.

Arguably, Obama's war against Iraq can then result in impeachment proceedings.
